Abstract

This study analyzes the joint impact of asset management and financing decisions on corporate value, with financial performance as a mediating variable. Using financial data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2023, the research focuses on Indonesia’s manufacturing, banking, and infrastructure sectors. Structural equation modeling (SEM) reveals that efficient asset management and balanced financing policies significantly improve firm value, both directly and indirectly through profitability. Sectoral results show that asset management has the strongest effect in manufacturing, while financing choices dominate in banking. These findings provide theoretical evidence of financial performance as a key transmission mechanism and practical insights for managers and regulators to align financial strategies with sector-specific needs. Future studies should extend the analysis with longitudinal data and governance-related variables to capture dynamic changes in corporate value creation.

Abstract

This study investigates how the lack of digital education access affects youth social mobility in Indonesia's underdeveloped (3T) regions. Using a quantitative analysis of BPS data, the research found significant infrastructural and educational gaps, with 65% of schools lacking internet and 35% lacking electricity. These deficits contribute to low educational attainment, a high 15% dropout rate, and limited opportunities for youth in these areas.Statistical findings confirmed a strong link between digital access and social mobility, with these factors accounting for 62% of the variation in outcomes. The study concludes that building digital infrastructure and improving digital literacy are essential for reducing inequality and fostering inclusive development. This research provides a critical foundation for creating targeted policies and suggests that future studies should explore the long-term impact of these interventions.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic exposed vulnerabilities in linear economic models, highlighting the need for resilience at regional levels. This study examines how the circular economy (CE) can enhance regional economic resilience post-pandemic through waste reduction, resource reuse, and innovation. Using a systematic literature review and mixed-methods analysis of peer-reviewed sources and policy reports, findings show CE reduces reliance on fragile supply chains, lowers costs, and creates green jobs. Success depends on adaptive local policies and multi-stakeholder collaboration, with digital technologies like Industry 4.0 playing a key role. Research gaps include limited long-term data and contextual studies, indicating a need for future multidisciplinary research. The findings support CE as a vital strategy for sustainable economic recovery and resilience.

Abstract

This study investigates how growing consumer awareness of social and environmental issues influences preferences for local products in Indonesia. It analyzes consumer choices by integrating social, environmental, and economic values using a quantitative choice modeling approach. Based on nationally representative data from a 2023 survey of over 500 respondents, the research reveals that all three value dimensions significantly impact consumer decisions. Social attributes, particularly, strengthen consumer-brand relationships as consumers increasingly view local products not merely as functional goods but as an extension of the social and ethical values they wish to support. Furthermore, the findings show significant geographical heterogeneity: Urban consumers are more responsive to environmental attributes, whereas rural consumers prioritize the local social and economic value (Sukmana et al., 2024). Younger, highly educated, and urban consumers also show a greater willingness to pay a premium (8–12%) for products with sustainable attributes. These findings underscore the importance of segmented marketing strategies tailored to specific geographic contexts and provide actionable insights for policymakers and marketers to promote sustainable consumption and product development by fostering value-congruent brand loyalty.

Abstract

This study examines how Islamic financing models, like murabahah and salam, impact Indonesia's agricultural and MSME sectors. Using 2023 national data and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the research finds that Islamic financing has a significant positive effect on sector performance, boosting productivity and revenue. This improved performance, in turn, acts as a key link to broader strategic contributions, such as MSME growth and improved welfare. The findings suggest that Islamic finance is crucial for inclusive economic development and that policies should be tailored to different regions and business scales to maximize its impact.

Abstract

The evolution of the global energy landscape has established liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a critical component of the worldwide energy mix. Nonetheless, instability in global LNG prices presents significant challenges, particularly for export dependent nations like Indonesia. This study rigorously quantifies the impact of LNG price volatility on Indonesia’s Balance of Payments (BOP) and subsequently proposes strategic policies to bolster national economic resilience. Utilizing a mixed-methods design, the research integrates advanced time-series econometric modeling specifically Vector Autoregression (VAR) and Impulse Response Function (IRF) analysis with a qualitative policy review spanning the period 2015–2024. Data include monthly LNG indices, BOP components, and macroeconomic controls, sourced from authoritative institutions such as the International Energy Agency (IEA, 2024), Bank Indonesia (2024), and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (2024). The empirical results demonstrate a significant, adverse effect of LNG price shocks on Indonesia's trade balance and overall current account, with these effects propagating and persisting over multiple quarters (Fauzi & Gunawan, 2023; Siregar et al., 2023). These findings underscore Indonesia’s high vulnerability to global commodity fluctuations and emphasize the urgent requirement for robust fiscal buffers and economic diversification strategies. Policy analysis reveals ongoing government efforts in energy subsidy reform and infrastructure investment but highlights continuing difficulties in reconciling energy security with overall macroeconomic stability (Robinson, 2023; UNCTAD, 2025). This comprehensive investigation contributes new empirical evidence and practical policy recommendations, establishing a valuable framework for managing LNG price shocks in Indonesia and analogous emerging markets.

Abstract

The complexity of business licensing significantly impedes startup creation, particularly in the vital service sector. This study evaluates Indonesia's deregulation impact (the Online Single Submission (OSS) system and the sunset clause mechanism) on service sector startup formation during 2018–2024 using a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative analysis (Difference-in-Differences) of official data, confirmed for validity and reliability, shows a robust 15% increase in startup formation rates post-policy, with the strongest effects observed in digitally mature urban areas. Qualitative findings from interviews highlight persistent challenges, including regional implementation inconsistencies and administrative hurdles. The interpretation is that deregulation, supported by effective digital infrastructure, successfully fosters entrepreneurship. However, complementary capacity building and regulatory harmonization are essential for equitable distribution of benefits. This research contributes empirical micro-level evidence for policy guidance in emerging markets.

Abstract

The Technology sector is increasingly influenced by decentralized, real-time sentiment from retail investors disseminated via social media, fundamentally challenging market efficiency assumptions and raising systemic risk concerns (Guzman et al., 2025). This study performs a quantitative assessment to quantify the determinant influence of retail investor social media sentiment on technology sector stock price movements relative to conventional market indicators (trading volume and momentum). The investigation utilized a six-month dataset from five highly-traded technology stocks (AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, TSLA, AMD). Sentiment was accurately classified using a fine-tuned BERT model (Chen & Liu, 2024). The core analysis applied a novel PCA-Hidden Markov Model (PCA-HMM) framework used to mitigate multicollinearity and identify distinct market regimes (stable vs. volatile) followed by regime-switching multivariate regression (Zhou et al., 2025). The analysis reveals that social media sentiment is a significant predictor of daily stock returns (Novak & Smith, 2024). Crucially, the influence of sentiment was markedly magnified and more potent during the volatile market regime (Kim & Singh, 2024). This conditional effect confirms that sentiment acts as a powerful multiplier of price instability when the market is under stress. These findings necessitate the institutionalization of social media monitoring by investment practitioners for alpha generation (Taylor & Wirth, 2024) and by regulators for behavior-based surveillance to mitigate flash volatility and systemic risk (Rodriguez, 2025). The research advocates for the adoption of dynamic, regime-switching models in asset pricing and risk management.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop and empirically validate an optimal crowd-financing model aimed at boosting retail investor participation in sukuk instruments, addressing significant constraints in the retail sukuk market due to structural, psychological, and technological hurdles. Using a mixed-methods approach, primary data was gathered from 300 active retail investors (aged 18–45) and 15 key stakeholders in Indonesia via purposive sampling through a structured survey and in-depth interviews. The quantitative data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The model shows strong explanatory power ($R^2=0.68$), confirming that accessibility, technological ease, Shariah compliance, and investor trust are crucial drivers of inclusion. Key findings recommend reducing minimum investment amounts, improving FinTech usability, ensuring transparent Shariah governance, and providing targeted investor education. Regulatory harmonization and blockchain innovations are identified as vital for addressing operational challenges. In conclusion, this research provides a cohesive, actionable framework for regulators and issuers to achieve sustainable sukuk market growth and deepen financial inclusion in emerging economies. Future studies should explore the socio-cultural dynamics of sukuk adoption.
