Abstract

Ikan guppy (Poecilia reticulata) merupakan ikan hias yang mempunyai nilai komersil tinggi baik untuk pasar dalam negeri maupun luar negeri. Berdasarkan morfologisnya, ikan guppy jantan memiliki bentuk tubuh yang lebih ramping dengan corak warna tubuh dan sirip yang lebih cemerlang dari pada guppy betina, sehingga permintaan komoditas ikan guppy jantan lebih banyak dari pada guppy betina. Salah satu upaya untuk memenuhi tingginya permintaan dengan melakuakan maskulisasi ikan guppy dengan ekstrak purwoceng, sebagai bahan alternatif pengganti hormon sintetik 17α-metiltestosteron. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah A 0 jam, perlakuan B selama 8 jam, perlakuan C selama 12 jam dan perlakuan D selama 16 jam dengan dosis yang sama yaitu 20 mg/L. Data yang diamati meliputi, persentase jantan dan betina (%), kelulushidupan (SR) dan kualitas air.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perendaman menggunakan ekstrak purwoceng pada induk betina bunting dengan lama waktu yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap persentase jantan, betina dan kelulushidupan (SR). Persentase kelamin jantan pada perlakuan A sebesar 47.01%, perlakuan B sebesar 63.98%, perlakuan C sebesar 56.72% dan perlakuan D sebesar 55.68%. Kualitas air pada media pemeliharaan terdapat pada kisaran layak untuk budidaya Ikan Guppy (P. reticulata). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perendaman ekstrak purwoceng pada induk guppy betina bunting dengan lama waktu perendaman yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh terhadap persentase kelamin jantan pada benih ikan guppy (P. reticulata) usia 45 hari. Lama waktu perendaman yang terbaik adalah pada perlakuan B yaitu dengan lama waktu perendaman 8 jam yang menghasilkan persentase kelamin jantan sebersar 63,98%. Guppy fish is an ornamental fish which has high economic value on local or international trade. Based on its morphology, male guppy fish has slimmer and colourfull body with more sparkle fin than female guppy fish. So, the comodity of male guppy fish has higher demand than female guppy. One of effort to fulfill its demand is by guppy fish masculinization with purwoceng extract as an alternative substitution of sinthetic hormone 17α-metiltestosteron. This research was conducted by applying completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of 4 treatments and 3 replicates. The treatment was A 0 hour, B treatment for 8 hours, treatment C for 12 hours and D treatment for 16 hours with the same dose of 20 mg/Ll. Measuring variables in this research were, the percentage of males, females (%), and survival rate (SR) and water quality. The results showed that pregnant female guppy which immersed in purwoceng extract with different lenght of time had significant different (P < 0.05) in male, female, and survival rate fish percentage,. The percentage of male fish in treatment A was 47.01%, treatment B was 63.98%, treatment C was 56.72% and treatment D was 55.68%. Water quality in the media was in recommended range for maintaining Guppy fish (P. reticule). The conclusion of this research was that the defferent periode immersion of pregnant guppy fish with purwoceng extract had significant effect on male larvae guppy fish 45 days (P. reticulate) percentage. The best defferent period immersion was in treatment B with 8 hours immersion period which produced 63.98% of male guppy fish.

Abstract

Keberhasilan budidaya sangat ditentukan beberapa aspek, salah satunya adalah jumlah pakan.Pakan yang memiliki nilai nutrisi yang baik akan memberikan pertumbuhan yang baik bagi ikan nila gift. Pemberian jumlah pakan yang tepat merupakan suatu usaha untuk mencapai keberhasilan pertumbuhan ikan nila gift. Pemberian jumlah pakan yang kurang tepat mengakibatkan penurunan kualitas air. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji peforma pemberian jumlah pakan yang berbeda terhadap ikan nila gift (O. Niloticus) terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan ikan nila gift.Ikan uji yang digunakan adalah benih ikan nila gift (O. niloticus) dengan bobot rata-rata 3,69±0,55g/ekor dan padat tebar 30 ekor/m3. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskrptif dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini: A (150,44 g), B (175,42), C (200,48) dan D (225,38). Data yang diamati meliputi EPP, PER,RGR, SR dan kualitas air.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian jumlah pakan yang berbeda berpengaruh terhadap  EPP, PER,RGR, SR. Nilai EPP terbaik yaitu pada perlakuan D 81,35±0,63%. Nilai PER terbaik yaitu pada perlakuan D 2,18±0,02%. Nilai RGR terbaik yaitu perlakuan D 3,72±0,07%/hari. SR terbaik yaitu pada perlakuan D 96,67 %,. Kualitas air pada media pemeliharaan berada pada kisaran yang sesuai untuk budidaya ikan nila gift.The success of cultivation is determined some aspects, one of which is the amount of feed. Feed that has good nutritional value will provide good growth for the tilapia gift. Giving the right amount of feed is an effort to achieve the successful growth of tilapia gift. Incorrect feeding resulted in decreased water quality. The purpose of this study is to examine the performance of different feeding amounts to the indigo tilapia (O. Niloticus) to growth and survival of tilapia gift fish. The test fish used are Tilapia fish gift (O. niloticus) with average weight 3,69 ± 0,55g / tail and stocking stock 30 / m3. This research used the descriptive method with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study were: A (150,44 g), B (175,42), C (200,48) and D (225,38). Observed data include EPP, PER, RGR, SR and water quality. The result of the research shows that the different feeding level has the influence to EPP, PER, RGR, SR. The best value of EPP is on treatment D 81,35 ± 0,63%. The best PER value is at treatment D 2.18 ± 0.02%. The best RGR value is treatment D 3.72 ± 0.07% / day. The best SR is at treatment D 96,67%. Abstract

Budidaya pembesaran ikan bandeng di Tayu memiliki potensi yang baik karena permintaan pasar yang selalu meningkat. Tetapi, potensi tersebut tidak di imbangi dengan hasil produksi ikan bandeng akibat banyaknya pembudidaya yang belum mempunyai ketrampilan dan kemampuan yang ideal untuk mengevaluasi kegiatan budidaya pembesaran ikan bandeng baik terutama evaluasi dibidang finansial. Pembudidaya diharapkan para dapat memiliki ketrampilan dan kemampuan dalam mengevaluasi budidaya pembesaran ikan bandeng. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu sampel POKDAKAN yaitu kelompok Murya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aspek ekonomi dengan menganalisis besarnya modal, pendapatan dan keuntungan, serta menganalisis aspek kelayakan usaha dari sisi finansial (NPV, IRR, B/C Ratio, Payback Period) agar diketahui kelayakan pembesaran ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos) semi intensif di Kecamatan Tayu, Pati. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara dan distribusi kuisioner. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian aspek ekonomi di peroleh bahwa modal investasi berkisar Rp. 12.330.000,-, hingga Rp. 304.900.000,-/Ha, besar biaya total adalah Rp.92.210.000,- hingga Rp. 179.030.000,-/Ha/tahun, besar pendapatan Rp. 135.850.000,- hingga Rp.973.750.000/Ha/tahun dan besarnya keuntungan berkisar Rp.5.580.000,- hingga Rp.806.700.000/Ha/tahun. Hasil evaluasi aspek kelayakan usaha diperoleh nilai rata-rata PP, NPV, dan B/C ratio serta IRR adalah 5,74 tahun, Rp.68.064.730,-, dan 1.07 serta 29%. Dari hasil evaluasi tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa usaha budidaya pembesaran ikan bandeng secara semi intensif secara finansial layak untuk di usahakan. There is a great potential of milkfish rearing in Tayu because with the market demands always increasing. Unfortunately, this potential is not accompanied with quantity of milkfish production because fish farmers do not have skill to evaluate their activity especially financial yet. In the future, the fish farmers should have skill to evaluate their bussines.This research used one sample fish farmers group, namely Murya group. The aim of this research were to investigate the economic aspect by analysing the capital investment, costs, revenues, benefits and financial aspects (NPV, IRR, B/C Ratio, Payback Period) of milkfish (Chanos chanos) semi intensive rearing, as well as to analyse the feasibility of milkfish (Chanos chanos) rearing in District Tayu Pati. The method used in this research is case study where interviews and questionnaires distribution were used. The analysis method used in this research was descriptive method. The result for the economic aspect of this research showed that milkfish culture in Pati, the capital investment average was Rp. 12.330.000,-, to Rp.304.900.000,-/Ha, the total cost was Rp.92.210.000,- to Rp.179.030.000,-/Ha/year, the revenue was Rp.135.850.000,- to Rp.973.750.000/Ha/ year, and benefit was Rp.5.580.000,- to Rp.806.700.000/Ha year. The evaluation result of bussines feasibility obtained was the average values of PP, NPV, B/C ratio and IRR were 5,74 years, Rp.68.064.730,-, then 1.07 and 29%. From the evaluation, it is concluded that Milkfish in Pati is feasible.

Abstract

Belimbing wuluh merupakan salah satu tanaman buah asli Indonesia dan daratan Malaya. Buah belimbing wuluh berbentuk elips hingga seperti torpedo dengan panjang 4-10 cm. Buahnya mengandung senyawa flavonoid dan triterpenoid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perendaman ekstrak buah belimbing wuluh (A. bilimbi L.) terhadap kelulushidupan ikan mas (C. carpio) yang diinfeksi bakteri A. hydrophila. Ikan uji yang digunakan adalah ikan mas (C. carpio) dengan bobot individu rata-rata 12,76±1,62 g/ekor. Ikan dipelihara selama 14 hari dengan padat tebar 1 ekor/L. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali pengulangan. Perlakuan A, B, C, dan D dengan konsentrasi masing-masing 0 ml/L, 3000 ml/L, 6000 ml/L, 9000 ml/L. Data yang diamati meliputi gejala klinis, kelulushidupan, dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hari ke-1 setelah penyuntikan bakteri A. hydrophila, ikan mas menunjukkan gejala klinis berenang pasif, borok, haemorhage, bernafas tidak teratur, warna tubuh memudar, luka dibekas suntikan, sirip gripis. Hasil tersebut memperlihatkan bahwa perlakuan B, C dan D rata-rata memperlihatkan proses penyembuhan mulai dari hari ke-5 pasca perendaman. Kenaikan persentase kelulushidupan tertinggi pada perendaman ikan mas yang diinfeksi A. hydrophila menggunakan ekstrak buah belimbing wuluh ditunjukkan oleh perlakuan C sebesar 70%. Perlakuan B dan D juga memperlihatkan kenaikan persentase kelulushidupan yaitu sebesar 53,33% dan 66,67%. Hasil pengukuran kualitas air selama penelitian berada dalam kisaran yang sesuai untuk kehidupan ikan mas (C. carpio). Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu ekstrak buah belimbing wuluh dapat menyembuhkan infeksi bakteri A. hydrophila pada ikan mas. Star fruit is one of originally from Indonesia and Malaya lands. The shape of this fruit is ellipse such as torpedo with length up to 4-10 cm. The fruit contains flavonoid and triterpenoid. This research aimed to observe the effect of submersion of Averrhoa bilimbi on the survival of common carp (C. carpio) intra muscularly by bacteria A. hydrophila. The test fish used in this research were common carp (Cyprinus  carpio) with average individual weight 12,76±1,62 g/head. The fish were looked after reased 14 days with stocking density 1 individual/L. This research was carried out using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 times repetition. Treatment A, B, C, and D were star fruit  extractsat concentration of 0 ml/L, 3000 ml/L, 6000 ml/L, 9000 ml/L respectively. The variable observed in this research consisted of clinical symptom, survival, and water quality. The result of the research shows that day 1 after the injection of bacteria A. hydrophila, common carp showed clinical symptoms passive swim, ulcer, haemorhage, Breathing irregularly , the color of the body faded , a wound in the former an injection, and slightly damaged fin. The result shows that treatment B, C and D commonly shows healing process starting from day 5 after submersion. The highest in survival rate of common carp post infected by A. hydrophila than submensed in extract of star fruit shown by treatment C, B, and D at 70%, 53,33%, and 66,67% respectively. The water quality during the research was appropriate for common carp life (C. carpio). The conclusion was that extract of Averrhoa bilimbi can heal infection of bacteria A. hydrophila in common carp.

Abstract

Kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata) merupakan salah satu komoditas andalan perikanan yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi, namun kendala yang sering dihadapi dalam proses perkembangan budidaya adalah infeksi parasit yang dapat menurunkan produksi budidaya yaitu parasit Octolasmis sp. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui jenis-jenis parasit Octolasmis sp. yang menginfeksi kepiting bakau di pertambakan Semarang dan mengetahui tingkat infestasi parasit Octolasmis sp. pada kepiting jantan dan betina. Peneltian ini menggunakan metode eksploratif dan teknik metode random sampling. Kepiting yang diidentifikasi sebanyak 100 ekor dengan perbandingan jantan dan betina 1 : 1 yang diperoleh dari 4 sumber tambak dengan masing-masing berjumlah 25 ekor kepiting, dengan ukuran panjang karapaks7-11 cm dengan nilai rerata panjang karapaks 8,6 ± 0,73cm dan beratbobot 54-188 g dengan nila irerata112,68 ± 23,29 g. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa jenis Octolasmis sp. yang teridentifikasi menyerang kepiting bakau pada pertambakan Semarang yaitu Octolasmis cor dan Octolasmis angulata. Tingkat infeksi parasit Octolasmis berdasarkan jumlah parasit yang ditemukan, pada kepiting betina parasit Octolasmis menginfeksi sebesar 68,09% dengan jumlah parasit O. cor sebesar 36,7% dan jumlah O. angulata sebesar 31,37%, sedangkan pada kepiting jantan parasit Octolasmis menginfeksi sebesar 31,9% dengan jumlah parasit O. cor sebesar 18,42% dan jumlah O. angulata sebesar 13,49%. Tingkat infeksi parasit Octolasmis berdasarkan jumlah parasit yang ditemukan lebih banyak menginfeksi kepiting betina daripada kepiting jantan.Mud crab (Scyllaserrata) is aaquaculture commodity that has a high economic value, however the constraints that are often found in aquaculture process is parasite infection, that can reduce the production of aquaculture is called parasite Octolasmissp.. Abstract

Penyakit Argulosis adalah salah satu penyakit yang menyerang ikan komet yang disebabkan oleh parasit Argulus sp. Salah satu upaya pengendalian serangan Argulus sp. yaitu menggunakan insektisida alami. Ekstrak kasar daun tembakau (N. tabacum) merupakan salah satu bahan alami yang dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pengobatan Argulus sp. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perendaman ekstrak daun tembakau terhadap kelulushidupan ikan komet dan mortalitas Argulus sp. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Dosis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu perlakuan A (0 ml/L), perlakuan B (3 ml/L), perlakuan C (6 ml/L) dan perlakuan D (9 ml/L). Ikan uji yang digunakan adalah ikan komet sebanyak 60 ekor dengan panjang tubuh rata-rata 6,42±0,45 cm dan bobot tubuh rata-rata 7,61±0,72 gram, kemudian Argulus sp.sebanyak 120 ekor. Uji in vivo dilakukan dengan cara menginfeksikan Argulus sp. dengan kepadatan 30 ekor Argulus sp. ke dalam tiap-tiap perlakuan selama 12 hari, setelah muncul gejala klinis kemudian dilakukan perendaman menggunakan ekstrak kasar daun tembakau selama 60 menit. Pengamatan dilakukan selama 7 hari dengan parameter pengamatan meliputi gejala klinis ikan, kelulushidupan ikan, mortalitas Argulus sp. dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian ekstrak kasar daun tembakau tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kelulushidupan ikan komet yang diinfeksi Argulus sp. Nilai kelulushidupan tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan B sebesar 80,00% diikuti oleh perlakuan C sebesar 73,33%, perlakuan D sebesar 60,00% dan pada perlakuan A sebesar 46,67%. Penggunaan ekstrak daun tembakau terbukti berpengaruh terhadap mortalitas Argulus sp. yaitu 25 ekor (Perlakuan D), 19 ekor (perlakuan C), 12 ekor (perlakuan B), dan 5 ekor (perlakuan A). Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pemberian ekstrak daun tembakau pada perlakuan D (9 ml/L) merupakan dosis yang dapat menyebabkan mortalitas yang tinggi pada Argulus sp. dengan tingkat mortalitas 83,33%.Argulosis is a common disease infectcomet fish caused by Argulus sp.parasites. One of the efforts to control Argulus sp. attack that was used natural insecticide. Tobacco leaf extract (N. tabacum) was one of the natural ingredients that can be used as an alternative treatment of Argulus sp. This study aims to determine of immersed the effect of tobacco leaf extract on survival rate and the effect of immersed of tobacco leaf extract (N. tabacum) on mortality of Argulus sp. The experiment consisted of 4 treatments each with 3 replications. Doses used in this study were treatment A (0 ml/L), treatment B (3 ml/L), treatment C (6 ml/L) and treatment D (9 ml/L). 60 comet were used in this study with an average body length of 6,42±0,45 cm and an average body weight of 7,61±0,72 grams, and then infested by 120 Argulus sp.The experimental comet were infected with Argulus sp. at density 30 Argulus sp.were conducted for 12 days, after injection showed clinical signs comet were immersed in tobacco leaf extract about 60 menit. The observations were conducted for 7 days with observation parameters including clinical symptoms, survival rate, mortality Argulus sp. and water quality. The result showed that immersed tobacco leaf extract had no significant (P>0.05) of survival rate. of comet fish infected by Argulus sp.The highest survival rate in treatment B (80,00%) treatment C (73,33%) treatment D (60,00%) and treatment A46,67%. The result showed that immersed tobacco leaf extracts had significant effect of mortality Argulus sp. is 25 Argulus sp. (Treatment D), 19 Argulus sp. (treatment C), 12 Argulus sp. (treatment B), and 5 Argulus sp. (treatment A). The results showed that immersion in treatment D (9 ml/l) was a dose that could cause high mortality in Argulus with 83,33%.   Argulosis is a common disease infectcomet fish caused by Argulus sp.parasites.
