Abstract

Palabuhanratu waters is the center of important economic fisheries commodity like tinker mackerel (Euthynnus sp.). Statistic datas of PPNP (2011) showed that production value of fishery in Palabuhanratu was decreased 3% from a year before, that is have an impact to economy condition of Palabuhanratu. Payang (Danish-seine) as a one of pelagic fishing gear in Palabuhanratu have an imbalance condition between supplies and income. Tinker mackerel production decreased in 2011 resulted in the economic condition of fishermen Palabuhanratu decreased. As one of the predictors of the presence of fish, chlorophyll-a can be used in the determination of the study the fishing ground through remote sensing technology. The purpose of the studies are to analyze the factors that influence the distribution of tinker mackerel (Euthynnus sp.), analyze the relation of chlorophyll-a and the value of the catch, and create a map of potential Palabuhanratu tinker mackerel in the Palabuhanratu waters. The research method used was descriptive with the case study and data collection by purposive sampling. Chlorophyll-a values in March - April 2012 ranged from 0,70 mg / l – 2,585 mg / l, with an average value of 0,475 mg / l. The amount of catches reach 695 kg in March and April of 426,24 kg. The results of measurements of field data has showed that average of salinity, SPL, DO, current, and depth respectively: 33 ppt, 30,9° C, 6,28 mg / l, 0,108 m / s, and 288,67 m. The results of the regression test showed that current was the significant variable with a value of p=0,02 (p <0,05) and r = 0.690 (indicating a strong correlation). The results showed that correlation pattern between water quality parameters, chlorophyll-a, and the catch of mackerels (Euthynnus sp.). Based on field data and MODIS image overlay, potential fishing areas in March - April 2012 include: Cimandiri, Tanjung Kembar, Gedogan, Ujung Karangbentang, Ujung Sodongprapat, and the Gulf Amuran.

Abstract

Rastrelliger Fish fishing in general use fishing stalling (Handline). This is because Rastrelliger Fish were caught with fishing stalling condition is good and fresh so it has a high selling price. The use of bait and hook size that effectively would provide good catches. Therefore, the need for a scientific study on the use of bait and hook sizes different to catch “Ikan Kembung”(Rastrelliger sp.).The purpose of this research was to analyze Rastrelliger Fish (Rastrelliger sp.) catches on the use of bait and hook shapes which different interaction between the use of the hook and the kind of bait to catch “ Ikan Kembung” (Rastrelliger sp.).The research uses experimental fishing with 2 variables are the type of bait and hook shape with 4 treatments are “(Tembang, squid, double hook and single hook). Each performed with 10 replications.Data analysis using data normality test and ANOVA with SPSS 17.0.The result showed that differences “Tembang Lures” and bait squid in this research affect the amount of proceeds Rastrelliger Fish (Rastrelliger sp.) catches. It is seen from the catch of squid bait with hook double hook as many as 48 tails and bait the hook” Tembang” with double hook as many as 37 tails, squid and bait the hook with a single hook as many as 35 tails and the “Tembang” with the hook bait hook single by 29 tail. ANOVA test result showed that, where using a combination of fishing gear and bait squid hook double hook size well used.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze factors that influence the technical and economical aspects of drift gill net operation at Cilacap Fishing Port. The study was conducted in October-November 2012, at Cilacap Fishing Port. The material used in this study is a business operation unit of drift gill nets that are still actively operating with this type of material monofilament and multifilament fishing gear, with a number of their ships - each 10 vessels <30 GT. The method used in this research is descriptive method using a case study approach. The results of this research showed that the technical aspects between multifilament and monofilament drift gill net have differences in terms of net material and operation, namely for drift gill net monofilament made of chord (winding yarn) and operated by swept away by a circular position while the drift gill net multifilament nylon twisted 12-13 strings millennium, and operation of drift gill net multifilament is simply washed away by the stretched position, and the average gain drift gill net multifilament higher than monofilament drift gill net. The analysis shows the feasibility of drift gill net multifilament and monofilament drift gill net worth to be continued visits from the NPV 563,712,463 with 112,415,740; B / C ratio of 1,7 with 1,1; IRR of 74% to 19%, and PP 2 years 18 days with 2 years 6 month.

Abstract

Central Java fishery is dominated by fish resources which are caught from the sea. Fish resources potential in Semarang Sea is about 1.873.539 ton/ year and it is divided into two sea territories such as Java Sea and Indonesian Ocean. In general, coastal communities in Central Java have a job as a fisher. One of the fishing gear are widely used and operated that can be called Gillnet. The utilization of fish resources as food source should be followed by sophisticated tools and technological improvements with the use of remote sensing technology. The purpose of this study is mapping fishing areas and researching the spatial fishing ground with gillnets in Semarang Sea Territory Central Java. In this research, the writer used explorative method. Explorative method has some purposes for knowing a social phenomenon about the relation between two or more variables. For taking some samples, the writer used purposive sampling method. The results from this research produced a map of the fishing that show gillnet gear dominantly in coastal and offshore areas. The gillnet makes some operation in coastal areas and it operates drift gillnet in the depth of 1 – 3 meters with the product such as: Pennahia sp, Restreligger sp, Scomberoides sp, Portunus sp, Plofosus sp, Lates sp, Scylla sp, Himantura sp, Polynemus sp, parastromateus and Siganus sp, encircling gillnet. In the depth of 5 meters gets the products such as: Mugil sp, Penaeus sp, Rochteichthys sp and drift gillnet in offshore areas in the depth of 25 – 30 meters with the products like: Scomberomorus sp, Euthynus sp, Xiphias sp.

Abstract

Production fisheries in the waters of Pacitan increase, recorded in 2008 data about 1692.179 tons and in 2011 increased by 4544.863 tons. Effort to exploitation the fishery resources can do in various ways, catching is one of the efforts in the field of fisheries, whether it's catching in the sea, lakes or rivers. Catching effort requires a fishing gear, one of which is coping (hand line) where used fishing in the waters of Pacitan. Using different of bait and hook expected to give different catches. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the type of imitation bait and natural bait, use a single hook and three hook, as well as to determine whether there is interaction of both factors. The method used is experimental fishing, and data collected in this study is the primary form of data directly from the field objects and documentation, as well as secondary data from production data in relevant institution. Data retrieval was conducted in March-April 2012. From the research data that have been obtained if the results that the use of a single hook and imitation bait most of their catch 138 fish. No interaction of the two treatments.

Abstract

Fisheries surveillance of fishing areas are Civil Servants (PNS) were given the duties, responsibilities, authority, rights in full by the competent authorities to conduct surveillance of fishing activities include licensing documents fishing effort, the catch, the crew, loog book fishery , region capture, utilization of fish resources and the environment and other related arrest. The purposes of this study were to identify the functions and roles of PIU PSDKP performance, and analyze the activities of Satker Supervision Analyzing Marine Resources and Fisheries in the Palabuhanratu Nusantara fishing port, Sukabumi, West Java. The method used in this research was descriptive based on case studies. The sampling method used was census. The results obtained performance of Satker Monitoring of Marine Resources and Fisheries has said as well, that is the fundamental duty of each employee would have held but for surveillance at sea can be said to be less good. This is due to the facilities and infrastructure that are not conducive to such monitoring. Need to increase the number of speed boat fleet to support performance monitoring Satker Monitoring of Marine Resources and Fisheries.
