Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Brand Image, Perceived Quality and  price to the buying decision. This study is a descriptive type of research, ie research that describes the objects that relate to decisions of a general nature. Samples used in the study of 100 respondents. In this study using accidental sampling means sampling is that sampling is done by giving a questionnaire to be filled to the consumers who make purchasing decisions on the Bandeng Presto. Data analysis methods used in this study is a descriptive statistical analysis and regression analysis. Descriptive statistical analysis is the interpretation of data obtained in this study and the data processing which is executed by giving descriptions and explanations. Regression analysis include validity and reliability, the classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, determination of test, test of Goodness of Fit via the F test and t test. The results prove that the three independent variables namely brand image, perceived quality, and price has a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, namely  Bandeng Presto purchase decision. The results of multiple regression test showed That all independent variables (brand image,  perceived quality, and price) a  positive influence on purchase decisions. The greatest positive influence on purchase decisions Bandeng Presto are on a variable-brand image with a coefficient of 0.478, then the variable  perceived quality with a coefficient of 0.207, while the most influential variables are low that price of the value of the variable coefficient of 0.198.

Abstract

The times are very fast resulting in an increase in globalization in various fields, one of which culinary business. Therefore, business owners compete to attract customers through creativity and innovation, as practiced by Amarta shop in Semarang.  This study aims to determine the effect of the product, promotion, price and place and the price of purchasing decisions at Amarta Shop in Semarang. The independent variable are product, promotion, price and place affect the purchase decision as the dependent variable. The population in this study are customers Amarta Shop. Samples were taken of 100 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using a survey method through questionnaires filled out by customers. Then, the data obtained were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. This analysis includes the validity test, reliability test, multiple regression analysis, classic assumption test, hypothesis testing through the F test and t test, and coefficient of determination analysis (R²). Based result, obtained regression equation: Y = 0,428 X1 + 0,208 X2  + 0,018 X3 – 1,446 X4. Based on statical data analysis, the indicators in this research is valid and the variables are reliable. In testing the assumption of classical, regression model multikolonieritas, does not occur heterokedasitas, and normal distribution. Individually, the variables have greater influence is product  with the regression coefficient 0,241, followed by the promotion variable with a regression coefficient 0,208, price 0,018 and the variable have the negative influence is place  with the regression coefficient -1,446. The computation of hypothesis using the t test showed that the variable product and promotion in meticulous proved significant. And the variable price and place not significantly influence the purchase decision variables.  Then through the F test can be know that the independent variable is feasible to test purchasing dependent variable. Figures adjusted R square of 0,262 indicates that variable of purchasing decision can be explained by four independent variables in the regression quotation. The remaining 66,6% is explained by other variable out side of the three variables used in this research.

Abstract

This research performed to examine influence of Cash Position, Firm Size, Growth Opportunity, Ownership, and Return on Asset (ROA) on Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). Sample for this research were taken using a purposive sampling method from manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in period 2008 to 2011. From 134 listed companies, acquired 15 companies that meet the criteria specified in the research period from 2008 until 2011. Analyze technique that use in this research is multiple regression analysis, and hypothesis test with t test for testing the partial regression coefficient, F test for testing the simultaneously influence with level of significance 5% and determinant coefficient test. Furthermore, classical assumption test also performed including normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and autocorrelation test. The results of this research indicate that the variable Ownership and Return on Asset (ROA) have significantly positive influence on Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). While, Cash Position and Firm Size have significantly negative influence on Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). Whereas Growth Opportunity hasn’t correlation influence towards Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). It’s recommended for investors whose purpose to gain dividend, to pay more attention about information that companies spend on investment-related decisions. In this research, Return on Asset (ROA) is the most influential variable to Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) with a standardized beta coefficient value 0,701. Predictive capability of five independent variables in this research to dividend by 43%, while other 57% were influenced by independent variables that have not been included in the research model.

Abstract

Performance is an overview of the level of achievement of the implementation of an action or policy in achieving the goals, objectives, vision and mission of the organization. In the achievement of corporate goals is usually the company experienced a high turnover rate, with a high turnover rate can affect the performance of the organization and lead to ineffective organizations. One step is to prevent the release of employee compensation that is intended to provide a sense of satisfaction will be compensation given by the organization to realize the goals, vision and mission. Research conducted at the headquarters of the Bank of Central Java is intended to analyze the effect of variable compensation satisfaction and organizational commitment on employee performance. The research was conducted at the Bank's headquarters in Semarang in Central Java. The number of samples is set as 96 respondents using judgment samples and methods of data analysis is the analysis of path (jalur) with the help of SPSS progran. The results of the testing of the hypothesis, suggesting that the variable compensation satisfaction and organizational commitment have a positive impact on employee performance. The variable that has the most impact is organizational commitment. The implications of this study are compensated satisfaction and organizational commitment have an equally important role, both individually and together in improving employee performance.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the differences in stock returns before and after the religious holidays and national holidays in the Composite Stock Price Index in the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2007-2011 period. Formulation of the problem is first presented to analyze whether there are differences in stock returns before and after religious holiday; secondly, to analyze whether there are differences in stock returns before and after the national holiday ;third, to analyze whether there are differences in stock returns before religious holidays and before a national holiday; fourth, to analyze whether there are differences in stock returns after the religious holiday and after a national holiday. This research uses the Composite Stock Price Index in the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2007 to 2011 as a sample. The variables used are the stock returns with stock returns one day before the religious holiday, stock returns one day after the religious holiday, stock returns one day before national holidays, and stock returns one day after a national holiday. The method of analysis used in this reserch were sample t-test. These results prove that there is no difference in stock returns before and after the religious holiday, there is no difference in stock returns before and after the national holiday, there is  no differences in stock returns before religious holidays and before national holiday, and there is no difference in stock returns after religious holidays and after a national holiday.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was determinate the influence between work climate on job satisfaction, influence between career development on job satisfaction, and the influences between job satisfaction on career commitment. In this study The research data was collected from 60 employees in 11 job functions that are not derived from the managerial class and still be productive on a vulnerable age. Questions is given by using a questionnaire distributed through random sampling technique which respondents were randomly selected using random numbers. After the questionnaire collected, data test technique used within a research by using the index value, validity index by factor analysis, regression, and Sobel Test to tested mediating effect by the program of PASW SPSS 18. The result indicated that the work climate and career development has positive and significant effect to job satisfaction and job satisfaction has positive and significant influence to career commitment. With the influence of 53,61% and 46,39% while the other can be influenced by other variables.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was motivated by the rapid growth of SMEs, but are not offset by significant productivity growth. By looking at existing problems, this study aimed to analyze the influence of the factor of education, the experience and the innovation on the productivity of small and medium businesses in the city of Semarang. This study aims to determine the factors that affect the productivity of small and medium businesses in the city of Semarang and can help small and medium business owners improve the factors that affect productivity positively. In this study population used is the Small and Medium Enterprises in the field of Fashion and Crafts batik in the city of Semarang. Population from this study gained from annual report Disperindag Semarang in 2011. The number of samples is determined based on the calculation of the Slovin formula with a tolerable error rate of 10%, then the number of samples obtained by 67 people from 200 people in population. Data analysis methods used in this study is a simple linear regression and Independent Samples T-Test, where the classical assumptions previously made ​​trial. The results showed that education and experience have a positive and significant effect on on the productivity variable. And there is a difference in productivity between SMEs with innovation in, and the SMEs without innovation in it. Writers advice to the government is to improve the common welfare and continuously increasing the interest to learn of SMEs`s owner by increasing the need of training.
