Abstract

The purpose of the this research is to find  the effect of work environment and leadership towards employee performance through the work discipline. Good level of employee performance and the low level of absenteeism indicates good discipline at Patra Jasa Convention Hotel Semarang. The respondents of this research are  employees of Patra Jasa Convention Hotel Semarang. Data collected through distribution of questionnaires towards 107 permanent employees with purposive sampling. However, only 105 data  can be processed. The techniques of data testing in this research includes validity test by factor analysis, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, path analysis, and the Sobel test to examine the mediation effect with SPSS 16.0.The results of this research indicates that work environment and leadership have positive influence on the discipline of work and employee performance. The analysis also shows that there is a mediation effect of work discipline on employee performance

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects arising from the advertisement and endorser credibility on brand awareness and its impact on brand attitude of the product brand FANTA soda. The variables used in this study is an advertisement and endorser credibility as an independent variable, then the brand awareness as a latent variable and brand attitude as the dependent variable.The samples in this study were 96 respondents are S1 Diponegoro University student who never consume soft drinks brand FANTA. The method used was purposive sampling by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. This study uses quantitative analysis that test reliability and validity test, the classical assumption test, goodness of fit test and multiple linear regression analysis.Based on the results of two-stage regression analysis in this study shows that ad (X1) and the credibility of the endorser (X2) significant effect on brand awareness (Y1) FANTA brand soft drinks products with regression coefficient of 0.226 and 0.305. While brand awareness (Y1) significantly influence the brand attitude (Y2) FANTA brand soft drinks products with regression coefficient of 0.501

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the effect of current ratio, debt to total asset ratio, totalasset turnover, and sales growth ratio to financial distress condition in manufactur firms listed inIndonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2012-2014. The population in this research are all of the manufactur firms sector listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange that published financial statement in the year 2012-2014. Samples that obtained by purposive sampling are 95 firms and there are 285 observation data which consist of  66 financial distress and 219 non financial distress samples. The criteria of financial distress is measured by interest coverage ratio. The statistic analysis that used in this research was logistic regression. The result of this research showed that debt to total asset ratio, total asset turnover, and sales growth ratio have negatif and significant impact to financial distress. On the other hand, this research showed that current ratio have a significant impact to financial distress, with positive direction.

Abstract

Competitive resource management is an important element of the company. The management of human resources will impact on the company's strategic plan. The success of corporate investment in human resources is determined by the success of employee retention strategies implemented.This study aims to determine what factors affect the retention of employees. After the observation of 15 previous studies on employee retention, 14 factors have been found to affect employee retention in various cultural contexts. These 14 factors are then selected through brainstorming of 8 employee retention experts consisting of 5 practitioners and 3 academics.The result of this research is that there are 6 factors that have the most influence on employee retention that is reward, compensation, leadership, career development, training and development, and job satisfaction. Then the best ranking achieved by reward.

Abstract

Pantene is a famous brand shampoo of   PT. Protect Gamble. Pantene is the market leader of category shampoo during the past four years. However, Pantene shampoo decreased brand value, which means a decline in the performance of the brand. It is characterized by the decrease TOM Brand, TOM Advertising and Brand Share. Pantene as a market leader need to be careful because it can lower the buying interest Pantene shampoo.This study aims to determine the effect of the effectiveness of advertising on brand image as well as its impact on buying interest Pantene shampoo. This study uses five variables: the celebrity endorser, the appeal of advertising, advertising effectiveness, brand image and purchase interest. Research hypothesis testing using the data of 200 respondents.The analysis technique used in this research is Structural Equation Model (SEM) of 21.0 AMOS program.Research shows that in order to increase interest in buying Pantene shampoo can through 4 process. However, the most influential of the increased interest in buying shampoo Pantene is the appeal of advertising that influence the effectiveness of advertising as a determinant of success in increasing buying interest.

Abstract

As time goes by, transportation becomes one of the main needs to support activity. The development of taxi services continues occur in various major cities, especially Semarang. This is indicated by the increasing company that doing those business. The purpose of this study is to know the influence of corporate image, service quality, and price perceptions on the repurchase intention of New Atlas Taxi Semarang, with customer satisfaction as intervening variable.Purposive sampling method is used for this research, samples were collected from 100 respondents (consumerwho has been using New Atlas Taksi service within the last 1 year). Multiple regression analysis is used for this study.The results show that company image, service quality, and price perception have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Service quality has the highest influence on customer satisfaction. Then, company image, service quality, price perception, and customer satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention. Service quality has the highest influence on repurchase intention

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence of product quality, service quality, and brand image to consumer satisfaction to provide solutions problems experienced by Yamaha motorcycle of decreased level in sales, market share, and user dissatisfaction on 2012 in Indonesia. The population used in this study is the students in Diponegoro University Semarang who use Yamaha motorcycle. Samples in this study were 100 respondents and the techniques used are non-probability sampling technique with Accidental Sampling approach. The researcher use validity test, reliability test, linier regression analysis, and hypothesis test supported by SPSS Statistics computer program version 17.0. Independent variables are product quality, service quality, brand image and dependent variable is consumer satisfaction. The result of research showed that product quality, service quality, and brand image  have positive and significant impact on consumer satisfaction. The results of analysis using the coefficient of determination is 54,5%  consumer satisfaction can be explained by variations of the product quality, service quality, brand image, while 45,5% explained by other variables that are not included in this study.

Abstract

Transportation support daily activities. The wide range of activities undertaken from commuting, purchasing food, delivering / transporting goods, purchasing goods and others is almost certain to use transportation, either directly or indirectly. Along with technological developments emerged the term "Online Transportation" which the term is attached to the transportation based on internet / online applications, whether motorcycles or cars. The emergence of online transportation in Indonesia are increasing, this online transportation services arise because of the complex needs of the community and the pioneer of online transportation services in Indonesia is PT. Go-Jek Indonesia. Go-Jek, face the competition with other online transport providers and must formulate a decisive strategy to keep its consumer.This research used four variables which are brand image, price perception, service quality and consumer satisfaction. The testing of the hypotheses in this research was conducted by collecting primary datas from the online questionnaires given to 105 respondents and then analyzed. The analysis technique used in this research was the Multiple Regressional Analysis which was conducted using the IBM Statistical Package of Social Science (SPSS) 23 software program.The results of this study indicate that the variables of brand image, price perceptions and service quality positively affect the customer satisfaction of services provided by PT. Go-Jek Indonesia. The results also show that Price Perception is the most influential factor on Customer Satisfaction that need to be the main consideration for the company in order to increase the satisfaction of the users of Go-Jek services.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the performance level of employees at Bank IndonesiaSemarang which has not optimal. Based on interviews pre - survey indicated issues raised by job satisfaction, loyalty, and the work environment to support the process of employee performance. This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of job satisfaction, job loyalty, and non-physical work environment on the performance of employees of Bank Indonesia Semarang. This study uses three independent variables namely job satisfaction, job loyalty, and non-physical work environment with one dependent variable is the performance of employees.This  study  is  applied  toward  50  employees  in  Bank  Indonesia  Semarang  by spreading questionnaires to collect the data eith criteria of respondent minimum 10 years working life. Sampling techniques in this study using purposive sampling method. The data analysis method used in this study include validity, reliability, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, F test, t test, and the coefficient of determination.Based on the results of t - test and multiple linear regression analysis showed that job satisfaction, job loyalty, and non-physical work environment positive and significant effect on employee performance.The coefficient of determination shows that the performance of employees of Bank Indonesia Semarang influenced by job satisfaction, job loyalty, and non-physical work environment by 74.9% while the remaining 25.1% is influenced by variables - other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Size, Return On Asset (ROA), Financing to Deposits Ratio (FDR), Non Performing Financing (NPF), and Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO) to Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). Case study on Indonesian Islamic banks in 2010-2014.The number of sample used in this research were 11 banks. Secondary data were obtained from financial statements can be downloaded from the official website of each bank and the official website of Bank Indonesia covering the period of 2010 until the end of 2014. The analytical method used in this research is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis where previously performed classical assumption that includes Normality Test, Multicollinearity Test, Autocorellation Test, and Heteroskedastisitas Test with a significance level of 5%. The study found that Financing to Deposits Ratio (FDR) is positively significant influenced to Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). Meanwhile, Size and Non Performing Financing (NPF) are significant but negatively influenced to the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). On the other hand, Return On Assets (ROA) and Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO) have no significant effect on capital adequacy of Indonesian Islamic bank. Based on the coefficient determination, variable Size, Return On Asset (ROA), Financing to Deposits Ratio (FDR), Non Performing Financing (NPF), and Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO) have 64,3% effect against Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). While the remaining 35,7% is influenced by other variables that are not used in this study.
