Abstract

Investment in a stock market may be the most effective way to resolve the economic crisis since the stock market is a dependable source of income. Investors will get a considerable return if make a proper investment decisions and vice versa, so then it is needed both fundamental analysis and technical analysis. A good investment should consider the factors that influence the risk in order to obtain the expected return, the risk is systematic risk and unsystematic risk. Unsystematic risk is the risk that can be eliminated with a diversification in a stock portfolio, while systematic risk is the risk that can’t be eliminated by diversification. This study aimed to analyze the factors that can affect systematic risk, this factors include ROA, dividend payout ratio, asset growth, DER, and DOL.This study used a purposive sampling method, which selecting sample based on the criteria of research needs. The population of this study is 112 company of manufatured sectors that listed in BEI in the period 2010-2014, and there is a 25 companies that fulfilled the criteria, but because of the outliers, this study only used 18 companies as samples. The analysis method used in this research is a multiple regression analysis.The results of this study indicate that ROA, dividend payout ratio, asset growth, DER and DOL affect systematic risk simultaneously, while partially, only dividend payout ratio are negatively and significantly affect systematic risk.

Abstract

Decrease in purchasing decisions on a product may cause a decrease in the value of its sale. The same thing happened at Atala Art, a company engaged in furniture and creative crafts in Jepara, Central Java, is experiencing a decline in product sales in recent years. Strategic steps need to be taken to overcome this phenomenon.The research was conducted by using independent variables including product innovation, price perception and product quality; intervening variable that is product trust and dependent variable that is purchasing decision. The data were collected on the sample using the questionnaire method. Data were analyzed by chi-square test method, descriptive three-box method and multiple linear regression analysis.The results stated that respondents, representing most consumers have income of 0-5 million rupiahs, work as self-employed and civil servants with age range 31-40 years. Consumer valuation on product innovation and product trust have high score 80,00% and79,67% respectively compared to price perception (74,60%) and product quality (74,27%), purchase decision (74,27%) With the calculation of multiple linear regression, it can be concluded that product innovation, price perception and product quality have a significant influence on product trust, as well as product trust have a significant effect on purchasing decision.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to know : (1) The effect of Debt Ratio (DR), Working Capital to Total Assets (WC/TA), and Current Ratio (CR) to Return On Assets (ROA), (2) The effect of Debt Ratio (DR), Working Capital to Total Assets (WC/TA), Current Ratio (CR), and Return On Assets (ROA) to the stock price, (3) The effect of Debt Ratio (DR), Working Capital to Total Assets (WC/TA), and Current Ratio (CR) to the stock price through Return On Assets (ROA) as an intervening variable. The research samples are companies that included in the LQ 45 index in the period 2010-2013 by using purposive sampling method. There are 15 companies that meet the criteria as the sample. This research used path analysis which is the development of multiple regression analysis and bivariate.The result of this research showed that : DR has negative significant effect on ROA, WC/TA has positif effect on ROA but not significant, CR has negative significant effect on ROA, DR has negative significant effect on stock price, WC/TA has positive significant effect on stock price, CR has negative significant effect on stock price, ROA has positive significant effect on stock price. The result of sobel test showed that WC/TA and CR has indirectly effect on stock price through ROA.

Abstract

Many new packaging industries have emerged in Indonesia resulted in the competitive of packaging industry in Indonesia will be more stringent, so that PT. Bahana BuanaBox, Sayung should improve the quality and performance of employees in producing the results their products because consumers are increasingly selective in choosing and using a product that will have to be consumed. This study aimed to analyze the influence of education and training, participation, and empowerment of the performance of employees of PT. Bahana BuanaBox, Sayung.The population used in this study were all employees of PT. Bahana BuanaBox, Sayung. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Criteria samples taken were all employees of the production of PT. Bahana BuanaBox, Sayung who has worked for more than three years totaling 200 employees. Methods of data collection in this study using questionnaires and interviews. Methods of data analysis using multiple regression.Based on the results of research, education and training, participation, and empowerment positive influence on employee performance, based on the results of goodness of fit, it can be said that the model can be used to predict the performance of employees while the test results from the coefficient of determination, employee performance is able to be explained by education and training, participation, and empowerment of 73.8%.

Abstract

The purpose of research want to know the effect of quality of service, facilities, and price to customer satisfaction at travel IQro’ Semarang. This study take travel IQro’ as the object  because  from  survey  in  some  travel  company  in  Semarang,  travel  IQro’  has different marketing strategy than other travel, and also from the data obtained there is a problem is a decrease in passanger quantity.The population in this study are the customers who use the services of travel IQro’ at least twice in the past three months. Sampling in this study using non-probability sampling technique, and the type of purposive sampling method. The analysis used in this study include validity and reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing including t test, F test, and the coefficient of determination (R2).Results of multiple regression analysis is, Y = 0,295 X1+ 0,351 X2+ 0,398 X3. It means that all independent variables, the quality of service, facilities and price have a positive influence on the dependent variable, consumer satisfaction. The independent variable is the most influential is the variable price, followed by a variable facility, and the last is the variable quality of service, and the coefficient of determination (adjusted R2) is 0,773. This means that 77,3% customer satisfaction is affected by prices, facilities and quality of service. While the remaining is influenced by other variables that are not addressed in thisstudy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the influence of Islamic work ethic towards employee performance with organizational justice and organizational commitment as mediators. In this study, both primary and secondary data wereobtained. Secondary data were collected from various sources, such as journals, books and data obtained from the company, while primary data by usingquestionnaire.To measure the variables, it was used questionnaires distributed to 96 employees working in RSI Sultan Agung Semarang based on purposive sampling method. The techniquesof data analysis that used in this study is Partial Least Square using SmartPLS 3.2.8software to determine the path coefficient, the indirect influence ofexogenous variables on endogenous variables.Findings shows that, the Islamic work ethic has a positive and significant effect towards the organizational justice and organizational commitment. Organizational justice and organizational commitment also have a positive and significant effect on employee performance.In addition, it is shown that organizational justice and organizational commitment proved tomediate the relationship between Islamic work ethic toward employee performance. Among organizational justice and organizational commitment is the most powerful in mediating the relationship between the Islamic work ethic and employee performance, namely organizational commitment.

Abstract

Herding behavior is one of the investor's irrational behavior that can destabilize the stock market. When herding happened, investors tend not to use the analysis in making investment decisions but follow the market consensus or imitate a decision of other investors.This study discusses whether herding behavior occurs in emerging market specifically Indonesia Stock Market and also developed market specifically Singapore Stock Market. By looking at the relationship between return market portfolio and Cross Sectional Absolute Deviation (CSAD), then herding behavior in a market can be identified. Herding detection performed on different market conditions, so this study using quantile regression analysis.The result of this study shows that there is no indication of herding behavior in both stock market, which means that investors tend to behave rationally in making investment decisions.

Abstract

Buka Buku is the only business that is engaged in education services that are presented to students for tutoring services. Buka Buku itself is currently focused on Undip, exactly to help academics students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Undip. However, Buka Buku experienced a gap between S-I and D-III students in students purchasing power. It affects the difference of class proportion between S-I and D-III students. This study aims to determine the behavior of students that occur today, and the impact of student behavior on the pattern of decision making use of tutoring services Buka Buku. In addition, this study aims to know the right way in serving students, especially the segment of students Diploma III.This research uses Theory of Planned Behavior theory. There are three main variables in the theory in determining the intention of behaving a person, where the intention is to form a person's behavior.  These  variables  are  attitude  toward  the  behavior, perceived  norm,  and  perceived behavioral control. Methods and approaches conducted in this study using qualitative research methods with case study approach. The preparation of this research using Patton model with Miles and Huberman model analysis technique.The result of the research shows how the student behavior, to know the factors causing student decision making. In addition, this study presents the decision making pattern of the use of Buka Buku services based on the relationship between the factors that make up student decisions. Therefore, an effective strategy can be done in serving the student segment at the Faculty of Economics and Business Undip, especially the D-III students.

Abstract

This study is to investigate factors influencing customer satisfaction of Patra Jasa Semarang Convention Hotel MICE’s users. This satisfaction is likely to increase word of mouth intention. Sample size of this study was 150 respondents. By employing purposive sampling method, the questionaires were distributed to Patra Jasa Semarang Convention Hotel MICE’s users from November 2014 until December 2014. The data then were analyzed by using a multiple regression test. The result showed that three of the independent variables directly influencing customer satisfaction, but only one of those which had directly influencing to word of mouth intention, that was quality of food and baverages variable. Consistent with the previous studies, customer satisfaction has positive relation and significantly mediates the effect of independents variables to engage word of mouth intention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of intrinsic motivation and compensation on the employee performance with work satisfaction as intervening variable. However employee performance is the most important asset of all, there was a problem of decreasing employee performance at PT Telkomunikasi Indonesia Divisi Regional IV Jateng and DIY. Research gap from the previous research also becomes the background of this research.The data in this research were collected through questionnaires that implemented to 76 permanent employees of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Divisi Regional IV Jateng and DIY. Analysis of the data in this research using Sobel test to test the effects of mediation. The program data using SPSS 21 program.This research indicated that intrinsic motivation have positive and significant effect on job satisfaction but its not significant on employee performance, compensation have positive and significant effect on work satisfaction and employee performance and job satisfaction have positive and significant influence on employee performance. In addition, work satisfaction is proven as mediator relationship between intrinsic motivation and compensation on performance. With Total Determination test, intrinsic motivation, compensation and work satisfaction also give 69,48% contribution to the variety of employee peformance
