Abstract

Abstract Integrated Islamic School which promote spiritual competences has a great demand among the community because it can develop children's morals, beside of emphasizing the mastery of science that is needed in the global development. Integration between Islamic values ​​in Qur'an which mention animals, included Vertebrate can be done to instill spiritual values ​​and character if it interpreted properly. However, the textbook which integrates both was not available yet. This research aimed to develop textbook integrated religious values on Vertebrate material which fulfills validity and practicality. This research was referred to 4D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate), but disseminate phase was not done. The development of this textbook was conducted in the Biology Department FMIPA UNESA and the limited trial was conducted on 20 students in MAN Sidoarjo 10th grade. The validity of the textbook was determined based on the assessment done by three experts, who are biology educational expert, animal taxonomy expert, and Islamic religious expert. The practicality of the textbook was determined based on the readability test by using Fry Graph, the implementation of learning, and the student responses. Data were analyzed descriptive-quantitatively. The validity of textbook in terms of the content, appearance, linguistic, and integration components of IMTAK got an average of 98,81%, indicated very valid category, so it was suitable to be used in learning. The practicality of textbook based on the readability test using Fry Graph showed the level of readability at level 10, implementation of textbook in learning was 97,5%, indicated very good category, and students positive responses to the textbook got an average of 99.5%, indicated very good category, so the textbook was practical to be used in learning. Hence, the textbook integrated IMTAK on Vertebrate material was declared valid and practical to be used in biology learning. Key Words: textbook, IMTAK integration, vertebrate.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of the research is to know the effectiveness of CTL-based worksheet that facilited the student’s critical thinking ability in membrane transport matter. This research is done by limited trial implementation of valid CTL-based worksheet that developed before and involved 20 students of MIA 2 of Senior High School 2 Kediri on April 2019. Technique of data analysis in this research is descriptive quantitatively. The result of enhancement of student critical thinking ability was shown by improvement of every indicators critical thinking ability after learning by CTL-based worksheet. The pre-test percentage of interpretation, inference, analysis, explanation and evaluation succesively was 62.50%; 57.91%; 57.00%; 51.25% dan 41.25%. Then the post-test percentage was 78.75%; 82.91%; 86.00%; 76.25% dan 63.75%. Besides the percentage of every indicators, the improvement of student’s critical thinking ability was shown by gain score that was 0.53 with middle category. Then efectiveness was based on the student’s postitive responses that reach about 91.60% including the very good category. Abstract

Abstract This research was aimed to describe the validity and the effectiveness of student worksheet based on inquiry by design argumentation activity in Bryophyte. The student worksheet was developed by Fenrich cycle (1997). The research stage was begun with  the curriculum, concept, indicator and student analysis. Design and development worksheet were done in Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural  Science, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The student worksheet was implemented by the twelve 10th grade student of SMA Negeri 18 Surabaya. The data of student worksheet validity obtained from the validation by validators. The data of worksheet effectiveness obtained from argumentation test by students. Based on validity result by the validators, showed that the student worksheet was classified as very valid with average score of 3.97. Based on effectiveness result, showed that students was classified as good argumentation with score 75% and 60.19% students can made a claim with data so the student worksheet was able to implemented in the learning activity. Abstract

Abstrak Sistem Indera merupakan salah satu materi yang dianggap sulit oleh peserta didik. Materi Sistem Indera yang disampaikan dengan metode praktikum belum disertai dengan lembar kegiatan peserta didik (LKPD) yang sesuai dengan tuntutan kompetensi dasar (KD). Permasalahan ini membuat peserta didik kurang terlatih untuk berpikir kritis. Berpikir kritis adalah salah satu keterampilan dalam kurikulum 2013 yang harus dikuasai oleh peserta didik.  Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis tersebut adalah model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing. Model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing ini dapat dituangkan LKPD. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menerapkan LKPD berbasis Inkuri Terbimbing untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. LPKD yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini telah dikembangkan oleh Azizah (2017). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain One grouppretest-posttest design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas XI MIPA 3 SMAN Jogoroto Jombang. Materi yang digunakan adalah Sistem Indera pada manusia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan LKPD berbasis inkuiri terbimbing materi sistem indera mendapatkan rata-rata keterlaksanaan sebesar 94,8% pada pertemuan pertama dan 90,9% pada pertemuan kedua. Ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat sebesar 71% yang termasuk ke dalam kategori peningkatan sedang dengan rata-rata nilai n-gain sebesar 0,6. Selain itu ketuntasan indikator pembelajaran pada aspek pengetahuan maupun keterampilan berpikir kritis juga meningkat dengan rata-rata ketuntasan sebesar 74,9% yang termasuk dalam peningkatan kategori sedang dengan rata-rata nilai n-gain sebesar  0,7. Abstract

Abstract Science process skills are thinking skills in problem solving and planning research in order to gather scientific information. Therefore this research will train basic science process skills, namely the skills of observing, classifying, predicting and asking questions as well as for means of identifying plants.The purpose of this study were to produce the Plantae Atlas for the means of plant identification, to train basic science process skills and to describe the validity of theoretical and empirical feasibility. This research trained the basic science process skills how to observe, classify, predict and ask a question. This developmental research produced the Plantae Atlas that were limited tested at SMAN 19 Surabaya with a total of 15 students of class X MIA 4. Data collection in this study used validation, observation and questionnaires methods. The results of this study indicated that the theoretical feasibility of validation was 93% which was categorized as very feasible. The empirical feasibility reached a score of 92% which was categorized as very good. Student response positively by 98% which was categorized as very feasible. Abstract

Abstrak Materi virus merupakan materi yang sulit untuk dipahami karena bersifat abstrak, mengandung istilah yang sulit dan kebanyakan peserta didik sering salah membedakan antara virus dan bakteri. Kurangnya pemahaman peserta didik pada konsep virus mengakibatkan rendahnya hasil belajar, sehingga diperlukan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan kecerdasan peserta didik yaitu lembar kegiatan peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis multiple intelligences. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKPD berbasis multiple intelligences pada materi virus yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. LKPD dikembangkan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Dissaminate). Uji coba terbatas dilakukan pada 20 peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Kamal. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi, lembar observasi, lembar tes evaluasi dan angket respon. Analisis data adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan memperoleh modus 4 dengan kategori sangat valid dan berdasarkan kesesuaian kecerdasan mendapatkan skor rata-rata presentase 98%. Dikatakan sangat praktis berdasarkan observasi keterlaksanaan LKPD 1 memperoleh presentase 93% dan keterlaksanann LKPD 2 memperoleh presentase 90%. LKPD dinyatakan sangat efektif ditinjau dari hasil belajar dengan analisis N-gain score rata-rata 0,75 dengan kategori tinggi, ketuntasan kelima kecerdasan yaitu Spatial visual, linguistik, logis-matematis, interpersonal dan musikal rata-rata presentase sebesar 92,5%, dan respon peserta didik mendapatkan skor rata-rata 98% dengan kategori sangat efektif. Abstract

Abstrak Keterampilan argumentasi dibutuhkan di kehidupan  abad 21, salah satu cara melatihkan argumentasi melalui kegiatan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model collaborative learning. Collaborative learning merupakan sebuah strategi yang terstruktur berupa dialog atau argumen untuk memecahkan masalah. Pembelajaran menggunakan lembar kegiatan siswa yang telah valid oleh Windi Nur Pratama dan Khoirotun Nafi’ah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan aktivitas siswa dan keefektifan model collaborative learning terhadap hasil belajar argumentasi pada materi ekosistem. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimental. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuisioner dan tes. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket aktivitas siswa dan pretest-posttest. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskripsi kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian keterlaksanaan model collaborative learning untuk melatih keterampilan berargumentasi siswa memperoleh rata-rata sebesar  97,39% dengan kategori baik, sedangkan rata-rata hasil keefektifan dari hasil belajar argumentasi sebesar 0,74 dengan kategori tinggi. Abstract

Abstract Scientific literacy is the ability to use knowledge, identify problems, draw conclusions, and make decisions. Scientific literacy is trained through scientific experiments. Scientific experiments take a long time because students must understand the concept and orientation of the problem, carry out practical activities, and analyze data, hence there is a need for learning that can meet those needs. One solution is to use blended learning. The aim of this research was to describe the feasibility of media Schoology-based blended learning in the respiratory system of XI grade based on validity, practicality, and effectiveness to train scientific literacy skill. This research was developmental research used the Research and Development (R & D) model which consisted of problem and potential analysis, data collection, product design, product design validation, product design revision, product testing, and 1st product revision. Limited testing done in 20 XI grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Kedungpring. The research instruments used were learning media validation sheets, observation sheets of student activities, evaluation test sheets, student response sheets, and activity sheets for scientific literacy skills. The research data were analyzed descriptive quantitatively. The results showed that the learning media developed was very valid with a score of 3.88. Learning media was very practical based on the activities of students with a percentage of 93.19% and practical based on the activities of scientific literacy skills with a score of 80.5. Learning media was effective based on the results of learning completeness with a percentage of 80%, effective based on the achievement of learning indicators with a percentage of 75%, and very effective based on student responses with a percentage of 97.94%. Abstract

Abstract Scientific literacy is the ability to use scientific knowledge in increasing understanding and applying knowledge to daily life. Contextual Teaching and Learning is an approach  that connects learning materials to real conditions, hence student can apply their knowledge. This study aimed to describe the validity of student worksheets based on Contectual Teaching and Learning on Environmental Change material to train the scientific literacy skills. Development of Student Worksheets based on Contextual Teaching And Learning was conducted in the Biology Department of the Mathematics and Science Faculty, State University of Surabaya. This study was a developmental research that used 4-D model consisted four stages namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The result of the validity was obtained based on the assessment scores of an education expert, a material expert and a Biology teacher. Validation criteria of student worksheets included the appropriateness of the content, presentation, language, suitability of the principles of the CTL stage, and scientific literacy skills. The result was analyzed descriptive quantitatively. The research result showed that the student worksheet obtained an averange score of 3.91 including very valid categories. Abstract

Abstrak Materi pencemaran lingkungan adalah salah satu materi  yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan lingkungan sekitar, dan peserta didik mudah untuk memahami konsep dengan  menggunakan kemampuan literasi sains yang dimiliki melalui modul berbasis problem based learning (PBL). PBL merupakan model pembelajaran yang dihadapkan pada suatu permasalahan yang kemudian dengan melalui pemecahan masalah tersebut peserta didik belajar keterampilan-keterampilan yang lebih mendasar . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas modul berbasis PBL pada sub materi pencemaran lingkungan untuk melatihkan literasi sains peserta didik kelas X SMA. Pengembangan modul dilakukan di Jurusan Biologi, FMIPA, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, dengan menggunakan model 4D (four-D Models), yang terdiri dari define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Namun, penelitian hanya sampai pada tahap develop. Instrumen penilaian yang digunakan yaitu dengan  menggunakan lembar validasi modul. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh ahli pendidikan, ahli materi dan guru biologi menunjukkan skor rata-rata yang diperoleh sebesar 3,87 yang dilihat dari kelayakan isi, kelayakan penyajian, dan bahasa. Modul yang dikembangkan dinyatakan sangat valid dan layak disajikan dalam pembelajaran untuk melatihkan literasi sains. Kata Kunci: validitas, problem based learning, pencemaran lingkungan
