Keywords: code mixing, BIPA, BIPA learners, social influence, personal reasons. For such a long time there is large number of studies that focuses on bilingualism and multilingualism issues likewise code mixing. However, most of the studies gave their focus on the phenomenon of language mixing between the first and the second language. Contrasting from the most frequent focuses, this study focuses on code mixing issues happened between the second and the third language on the certain chosen subjects. Thus, it affects to the findings which somehow quite different to what most commonly found in other previous studies with similar topic.This study focuses on code mixing occurred in BIPA learners? daily conversation. The research question proposed are: (1) what are the types of code mixing being used by BIPA learners of UNESA in the daily conversation, (2) what are the social factor that may influence the use of code mixing by BIPA UNESA learners, and (3) the reasons underlie behind the use of code mixing by BIPA learners. The main data were solely from the conversation between the researcher subjects and the subjects of this study which was recorded and transcribed. To collect the data, this study applied observation and interview which then analyzed and presented in a qualitative descriptive. The finding of this study shown that the most code mixing types occurred in BIPA learner?s utterances were insertion and alternation, yet the most dominant one was insertion. This study also disclosed that only several factors of code mixing influenced code mixing occurrence. Participant positioned as the first place of the main influencing social factor of code mixing, then followed by situation and act or topic of the talk. Code mixing between Indonesian and English was applied by BIPA learners because the very obvious main reason; the lack of Bahasa Indonesia comprehension. However, there also some other less dominant factors which appeared. Although they were studying Bahasa Indonesia the often mixed their utterances with English for they did not know certain terms in Bahasa Indonesia. However, prestige also turned out to be the next reason right after the main reason.

Abstract

Abstrak Dalam banyak percakapan, penulis berasumsi bahwa para pembicara dan pendengar umumnya bekerja sama satu sama lain. Namun, dalam beberapa keadaan, seorang pembicara berniat untuk berkomunikasi lebih dari apa yang dikatakan, bahwa sesuatu yang disampaikan harus lebih dari sekedar apa arti dari kata-kata itu. Ini adalah makna tambahan, yang disebut implikatur percakapan. Implikatur percakapan adalah hal yang menarik di mana itu bukan masalah kalimat melainkan makna ucapan. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini, penulis tertarik untuk menganalisis apa implikatur percakapan yang ditemukan pada ucapan-ucapan dari karakter utama, apa yang tersirat berdasarkan karakter utama pada ucapan-ucapan dalam percakapan dan kemudian mengapa karakter menggunakan implikatur percakapan tersebut. Penulis memilih Big Mommas House 1 karena ini adalah film yang hebat dengan beberapa misi dari FBI. Penulis menggunakan teori Grice tentang implikatur percakapan sebagai dasar analisis penelitian. Ucapan yang mengandung implikatur dibagi menjadi dua kategori; implikatur percakapan umum dan khusus. Dari analisis penulis, sebagian besar karakter menggunakan implikatur percakapan umum.Kata kunci : Jenis Implikatur Percakapan, Ucapan, Film Big Mommas House 1.

Abstract

ABSTRACT In political speech there are so many ideas that come from the speaker, like in inauguration speech of new president. Donald Trump is the new president of America, in his controversy winning speech there are ideology that shown during the speech. The aim of the researcher of this study is how the transitivity process reveal the ideology. The main theory of this research is Fairclough?s theoretical framework of CDA (1997) that influenced by Halliday (1994). This study used qualitative as a method, because the researcher think that the method was fi with the topic. The data was from (https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/the-inaugural-address/) Transitivity has six types and during the speech Donald trump used the six types of processes but only three processes showed up the most. Those are material process, relational process, and behavioral process. The conclusion of this study is that participant of transitivity that Donald Trump used in the speech showing he put his work as the society priority, and to ask the USA society work about the resolution with him. While the ideology is make the society more convinced

Abstract

This study was conducted in a descriptive qualitative analysis. The descriptive qualitative was used during the research, because this study used all the female characters utterances in Wonder Woman movie. It means that the research focus in narrowed down only gradually and the analytic categories or concept are defined during the process of the research.The data are presented from the form of word and the utterances of female characters and other the interlocutor?s in a certain scene in ?Wonder Woman?. The data was analyzed based on Lakoff theory. Moreover, this part consist of the result of the types of women?s language features, reasons why they used it, and impact toward the interlocutors which is used by female characters and the interlocutor?s in the movie ?Wonder Woman?. There are several types of speech features that found in this study. The writer found 13 data about female characters and the interlocutor?s utterances that consist of the speech features. From the data that has been taken, all data will be analyzed. The data were also already being sorted out from the movie ?Wonder Woman? because the amount of the data.

Abstract

Abstract In recent decades the number of people diagnosed as autism has increased massively to an estimated number of 1 in 100. In Indonesia itself the number of autistic children has increased every year. However, the curing of children with autism is still relatively low, especially the autistic people who live in villages (inland) of Indonesia since the low education in that area. That?s why the parents need more understanding about how to treat their autistic children to develop their language deficit like other normal children. This study would discuss the reinforcements of language deficit in autistic child that was done through applied behavior analysis (ABA) method. It occurred to Dylan, an autistic child of 3 years old in which his language developed more slowly than others and need some language reinforcements through ABA method to communicate with others.The primary of this study is two questions; (1) What are the categories of verbal operant in Dylan?s language development in using ABA method? (2) How does Dylans language developmental result in using ABA method? To finish this study, the method applied was mix method which is descriptive qualitative used to answer RQ 1 with documentation technique since it is in the form of videos while quantitative to answer RQ 2 with Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP) by Sundberg. In this study, the theory of Verbal Behavior using verbal operant by Skinner of language development in psycholinguistics point of view was applied to analyze the data. The finding showed that among video 1 (V1) to video 4 (V4) data some categories of verbal operant (VO) were used as positive reinforcements there were mand, echoic, tact, intraverbal and other category which did not exist in the verbal operant but the researcher categorized it as ?gestural? and ?verbal tact? as new categories. Thus, through VB-MAPP Milestones result it can be seen that Dylan?s verbal behavior got development and he was able to maintain what he had learned before. However, the total transition scores of VB-MAPP milestones form, barriers form and negative behavior and instructional control among all of videos data were average 1 it meant Dylan still had to practice more and learned some categories such as textual and transcriptions which were not applied yet to acquire the skills needed for studying in a less restrictive educational environment.
