Abstract

A school is a formal educational institution or service aimed at developing students potential. Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and process so that students actively develop their potential to possess spiritual and religious strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and the skills needed by themselves, society, the nation, and the state. In era of globalization, learning is no longer limited to school, further study at university is also necessary. Further study is one way to improve human resources within an institution. By continuing their studies, a person can broaden their knowledge and gain new experiences, which then become provisions for advancing the institution where they work. Further study demonstrates a person's dedication to improving the quality and credibility of an institution. In this effort to improve the quality of human resources, campus outreach is needed to help students choose the campus and study program of interest. The outreach activities carried out by the UIN Sultanah Nahrasiyah campus outreach team involved direct interaction and outreach at SMA/MAN in Pidie Jaya. Overall, students were very enthusiastic about this outreach and increased their interest in further study in their desired study program on campus. Ongoing outreach will continue as part of the campus development strategy. The importance of this outreach extends beyond new student registration to developing collaborative networks with schools.

Abstract

The slaughtering of sacrificial animals (qurban) on university campuses is an annual activity that holds strategic potential for promoting Islamic jurisprudential education and public veterinary health. However, technical challenges are often encountered, particularly due to limited understanding among student committees and staff regarding animal welfare and hygienic meat handling. This community service activity aimed to assist in the implementation of qurban slaughtering at Sekolah Tinggi Maritim Yogyakarta in accordance with Islamic principles and the ASUH (Safe, Healthy, Wholesome, and Halal) standards, while minimizing environmental impacts. The activities included pre-qurban socialization, Halal Slaughterer (Juleha) training for students, ante-mortem and post-mortem examinations, and qurban waste management. The results demonstrated improved understanding among the organizing committee regarding humane animal handling techniques, effective slaughtering procedures, and the use of environmentally friendly meat containers, such as woven bamboo baskets (besek) and teak leaves, to reduce plastic waste. The findings also indicated that 100% of the sacrificial animals were fit for consumption and free from zoonotic diseases. Overall, the activity successfully established a model for campus-based qurban management that is compliant with Islamic principles, hygienic, and environmentally friendly.

Abstract

Inequality of technical ability and anxiety about technology are often barriers for Islamic economics students to master digital technology. Conventional programming learning methods that require syntax memorization are considered too burdensome for non-technical students, especially when physical learning facilities cannot be accessed due to disasters. This activity is here to simplify the coding learning process by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI-Assisted Programming) and applying a training model that can still run in the midst of an emergency situation. Responding to flood conditions in Aceh, the activity using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach was completely switched to online. A total of 22 FEBI UIN Sultanah Nahrasiyah students were trained to use Cloud IDE and Generative AI through four stages: changing mindsets, prompting techniques, business logic, and case study practices. The results showed that there was an increase in participants' confidence in using technology. Generative AI help allows students to get through the difficulties of writing complex code, so they can immediately focus on solving economic problems. Participants can design simple applications such as Zakat Calculator and Data Visualization, despite learning within the limitations of infrastructure.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to implement ecoprint as an environmentally friendly educational medium for children. The activity was held on August 16, 2025, located at the Alue Gadeng Dua Village Hall, Birem Bayeun District, East Aceh Regency. This activity involved 25 elementary school children as participants. The activity method uses an educational participatory approach that emphasizes the active involvement of participants in each stage of the activity. The evaluation was carried out through observation of children's enthusiasm, creativity and ability to make ecoprint works. The results of the activity showed that all participants were able to produce unique and creative ecoprint products. The impact of this service can be seen from the increase in children's active participation in environmentally friendly activities and the growing sense of responsibility in using natural resources wisely. Thus, ecoprint has proven to be effective as an environmentally friendly educational medium as well as a means of developing children's creativity at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Digital transformation in tax administration through the implementation of the Coretax Administration System (Coretax) has become a strategic initiative by the government to improve service efficiency, transparency, accountability, and taxpayer compliance. This community service activity aims to enhance taxpayers’ understanding, skills, and independence through the socialization and assistance of Coretax activation in UIN Sultanah Nahrasiyah Lhokseumawe. The method used in this activity was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which consisted of preparation, socialization, training, hands-on practice, mentoring, and evaluation stages. The participants were individual taxpayers ASN UIN Sultanah Nahrasiyah Lhokseumawe. The results of the activity indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of the functions and benefits of Coretax, technical abilities in account activation, as well as digital skills in using electronic tax administration systems. The level of participant involvement was also relatively high, reflecting taxpayers’ enthusiasm for practice-based mentoring programs. These findings reinforce the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which emphasizes that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness influence technology acceptance. In addition, experiential learning and andragogical approaches proved effective in improving participants’ understanding through direct experience. Therefore, the socialization and mentoring of Coretax activation can serve as a strategic model in supporting the success of digital transformation in taxation and the sustainable improvement of taxpayer compliance.

Abstract

Flash floods are among the most frequent natural disasters affecting rural communities in Indonesia, particularly in Aceh Tamiang Regency. Beyond causing physical damage, these disasters significantly disrupt local economic activities and reduce household income. This study aims to analyze community economic recovery strategies and resilience following the flash flood disaster in Lubuk Sidup Village, Sekerak District. This qualitative research employed observation, interviews, and documentation techniques involving village officials, community leaders, farmers, traders, and affected residents. The findings reveal that economic recovery was achieved through collaboration between the government, local communities, and social institutions. The primary recovery strategies included restoring agricultural activities, diversifying livelihoods, providing business capital assistance, strengthening mutual cooperation, and improving community disaster preparedness. Community resilience was demonstrated through adaptive capacities, social solidarity, and institutional support that enabled residents to restore their livelihoods gradually. The study concludes that community resilience is influenced not only by economic resources but also by social capital, participatory governance, and local wisdom in disaster management.
