Abstract

This study investigates how social media and financial technology (fintech) utilization contribute to business performance and small and medium‑sized enterprise (SME) development in Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. The research adopts an explanatory quantitative design using a cross‑sectional survey of SME owners and managers who use social media and/or fintech in their business activities. Data from 96 respondents were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modelling to examine the direct effects of social media and fintech utilization on business performance and SME development, as well as the mediating role of business performance. The findings reveal that both social media and fintech utilization have significant positive effects on business performance, while the direct effect of fintech utilization on SME development is relatively weaker. Business performance, in turn, has a significant positive impact on SME development and acts as a key mediator linking digital technology utilization to broader development outcomes. These results suggest that social media and fintech should be treated not merely as technological tools but as strategic resources that improve core business performance, which then enables sustainable SME growth. The study offers theoretical insight into the role of digital technologies in SME development and provides practical guidance for policymakers and SME support institutions seeking to design more targeted digital transformation programs in emerging regions.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of competence on employee performance by exploring the mediating roles of organizational commitment and work motivation, aiming to identify whether competence affects performance directly or indirectly through these variables. Conducted at the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Kampar Regency using a quantitative approach, the research employed a census method with 93 respondents and analyzed data via Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Squares technique in SmartPLS 4. The results reveal that competence lacks a direct effect on employee performance but significantly impacts it indirectly by enhancing organizational commitment and work motivation, with work motivation proving the most influential factor, followed by organizational commitment. This study offers original insights into the indirect mechanisms of competence in boosting performance, emphasizing the need to integrate psychological and emotional aspects into human resource management strategies beyond mere technical skill development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy of UD Sniper Iodized Salt and its effect on increasing business revenue. Marketing strategies are studied based on the concept of marketing mix which includes product strategy, pricing strategy, promotion strategy, and distribution strategy. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation with the main informants consisting of business owners and related parties. The results of the study show that UD Sniper Salts with Iodium has implemented a marketing strategy that includes all four elements of the marketing mix, although it is still simple and adapts to the conditions of MSME-scale businesses. The product strategy is focused on the quality and function of iodized salt with simple packaging and branding. The price strategy is set by considering production costs and people's purchasing power so that the price of the product is relatively affordable. Promotional strategies are carried out through direct communication and word-of-mouth promotions, while distribution strategies are carried out through direct sales and cooperation with local retailers. The implementation of this marketing strategy has contributed positively to increasing business income and the sustainability of UD Sniper Iodium Salt. However, the study also found that promotion and distribution strategies still have limitations, especially in terms of market reach. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a promotion strategy and expand distribution channels so that businesses can increase competitiveness and revenue growth in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly used as a learning medium in secondary education, yet students’ acceptance of AI tools is not uniform. This study examines high school students’ behavioral intention to use AI in learning by extending the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with perceived trust. A quantitative explanatory design was employed with a cross-sectional survey of 98 high school students in Jakarta who had experience using AI for learning. Data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the measurement model and test the structural relationships among Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Trust, and Behavioral Intention to Use. The results show that Perceived Usefulness (β = 0.243, p < 0.01) and Perceived Trust (β = 0.457, p < 0.001) have significant positive effects on Behavioral Intention to Use, while Perceived Ease of Use has a positive but statistically non-significant effect (β = 0.184, p > 0.05). These findings indicate that students’ intention to use AI in learning is driven more by perceived learning benefits and confidence in the reliability and safety of AI than by usability alone. The study refines TAM applications in AI-supported education by underscoring the central role of trust and offers practical guidance for schools and developers to design AI tools that are not only easy to use but also demonstrably useful, transparent, and secure for student learning.

Abstract

Adolescence is a challenging phase of life, where social and academic pressures, as well as the search for identity, often lead to vulnerability to mental health issues. In this situation, religion plays an important role as a source of values, meaning, and guidance that can provide peace of mind. Religious teachings can foster gratitude, optimism, and hope, which serve as strengths in facing various pressures in life. However, understanding and practicing religion among adolescents cannot develop optimally without a structured knowledge management process. The knowledge management approach, which includes knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer, can be a strategy to strengthen the internalization of religious values in the lives of adolescents. Through sharing spiritual experiences, discussions, and guidance, religious values are not only understood conceptually but also implemented in daily behavior. The process of transferring religious knowledge from parents, teachers, community leaders, and peers can create an ecosystem that supports emotional and spiritual balance. Thus, the integration of religion and knowledge management has the potential to be a strategic solution in building peace of mind for adolescents, while strengthening their mental resilience amid the dynamics of modern life.

Abstract

Digital transformation has increased organizational reliance on big data analytics (BDA) to support strategic decisions and improve business performance. This study synthesizes evidence on how BDA contributes to strategic decision-making, organizational performance, and innovation through a systematic literature review. The review followed the PRISMA 2020 framework and searched Scopus, IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, and Google Scholar for English-language journal and conference publications from 2021 to 2026. After identification, screening, and full-text eligibility assessment, 33 studies were included and examined using thematic analysis. The findings show that BDA strengthens decision quality and speed by combining analytics capability, predictive modeling, artificial intelligence, and data-driven insights. BDA is also associated with operational efficiency, project success, organizational agility, customer personalization, competitive advantage, sustainability, and innovation capability. The dominant themes were strategic decision-making, business performance, sustainability and innovation, and artificial intelligence with predictive analytics. However, the literature provides limited evidence on explainable and ethical artificial intelligence, human-AI collaboration, real-time analytics, and BDA adoption among small and medium-sized enterprises and organizations in developing economies. The review contributes an integrated view of BDA as a socio-technical and strategic capability and recommends transparent, scalable, and human-centered analytics governance.

Abstract

This systematic literature review examines how audio-based artificial intelligence (AI) tools are being used to support learning across educational contexts and what challenges and opportunities arise from their implementation. Using a structured search across major e-scientific databases, this study identified and analysed empirical and conceptual works on AI assisted audio learning, including audio feedback, voice tutors/assistants, adaptive audio modules, and AI generated podcasts. VOSviewer was employed to map keyword co-occurrences and thematic clusters, while a large language model (LLM)-based notebook was used to assist in summarising abstracts, methods, and key findings, and to group studies by educational level and AI technology type. The findings indicate that audio-based AI interventions generally contribute positively to cognitive outcomes, motivation, and engagement, particularly by enabling frequent, personalised feedback and flexible, on-the-go learning opportunities. At the same time, the review reveals several challenges related to instructional design, teacher orchestration, data privacy, and the risk of learner overreliance on AI feedback. The existing evidence is heavily concentrated in language learning and a few specialised domains, with a predominance of short-term studies and self-report measures, limiting the generalisability of current conclusions. This review contributes by offering an updated mapping of AI-assisted audio learning research, highlighting underexplored contexts and design configurations, and outlining clear directions for future studies, including longitudinal designs, comparative trials of audio versus text-based feedback, and investigations into how teachers and students negotiate the role of AI in classroom practice.

Abstract

This study synthesizes international evidence on SMEs’ recovery strategies during crises, particularly Covid‑19, by integrating financial support, risk management, and innovation into a single recovery framework while revealing underexplored methodological gaps. To identify principal internal and external drivers of SME recovery in crisis contexts and to examine trends and gaps in existing studies in terms of themes, methods, and publication patterns. A systematic literature review was implemented through structured identification, screening, and eligibility procedures; from 72 records, 35 relevant articles were retained and assessed by publication year, design, and thematic focus. The review indicates that financial and risk management, digitalization and automation, and government policy support are the most recurrent elements of recovery, whereas empirical, mixed‑method, and longitudinal investigations remain scarce. Results suggest that SMEs withstand shocks best when managerial capabilities are reinforced by consistent policy instruments in finance and digital transformation; this calls for integrated recovery programs and more robust empirical research to enhance evidence generalization.

Abstract

In the modern digital era, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have evolved from routine administrative tools into vital strategic assets. However, the direct technological implementation of ERP does not automatically guarantee superior organizational performance unless mediated by the optimal quality of information it produces. This study investigates the complex mechanisms through which ERP Integration influences Managerial Decision-Making Quality, explicitly examining Information Quality as a critical mediating variable. Utilizing a quantitative research design, data were gathered through a cross-sectional survey administered to 150 professionals actively utilizing ERP systems across diverse organizational roles (managers, supervisors, business analysts, and administrative staff). The structural equation modeling approach based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) was executed using SmartPLS 4 to evaluate both the measurement and structural models. The empirical findings confirm that ERP Integration exerts a strong positive and statistically significant effect on Information Quality ($\beta = 0.642, t = 8.127$) and a direct positive impact on Decision-Making Quality ($\beta = 0.325, t = 3.869$). Furthermore, Information Quality significantly influences Decision-Making Quality ($\beta = 0.518, t = 6.317$) and acts as a robust partial mediator in the relationship between ERP Integration and Decision-Making Quality ($\beta = 0.332, t = 4.099$). The study demonstrates that while comprehensive system integration accelerates managerial actions, information quality serves as the pivotal cognitive bridge that translates technological infrastructure into superior decision-making outcomes. These insights extend the DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model and offer actionable managerial directives for optimizing data governance in digitally integrated organizations.

Abstract

Indonesia's international tourism sector, one of the country's foremost foreign exchange contributors, suffered a near-total collapse when the COVID-19 pandemic took hold in early 2020, with arrivals plunging by approximately 75% relative to 2019's baseline. The recovery that followed was highly non-linear shaped by uneven border reopening timelines, shifting travel restrictions, and residual traveler hesitancy introducing volatility patterns that stretch far beyond the bounds of normal seasonal fluctuation. This study examines how two methodologically distinct forecasting approaches, the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and Random Forest (RF), perform under these conditions, using 72 months of official BPS Indonesia data spanning January 2019 to December 2024, with 2019–2023 as the training window and 2024 reserved as the holdout test period. ARIMA modeling followed the Box-Jenkins procedure, yielding an optimal SARIMA(1,1,1)(1,1,1)12 specification. The Random Forest model was built upon 18 engineered autoregressive lags, rolling window statistics, and cyclical month encodings with hyperparameters tuned through GridSearchCV. Empirical validation on the 2024 test set revealed that the parametric ARIMA model significantly outperformed the machine learning approach, achieving a MAPE of 5.49% compared to 8.66% for Random Forest, representing a 36.6% reduction in relative percentage error, alongside substantial improvements in MAE (42.7%) and RMSE (21.9%). Feature importance analysis indicated that short-term temporal dependencies (lag_1 and lag_2) heavily dominate the tree ensemble, which fundamentally limited its capability to extrapolate the expanding post-pandemic growth trend. These results suggest that classical parametric frameworks with proper regular and seasonal differencing offer more reliable mid-term demand estimates for tourism planners and policymakers navigating structural recovery trajectories.
