Abstract

The effectiveness of zakat management within the educational sector plays a crucial role in improving mustahik welfare. This study aims to analyze the management of zakat by the School Zakat Management Unit at SMK Muhammadiyah Pasuruan in enhancing the well-being of its beneficiaries. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were gathered through interviews, direct observations, and documentary reviews. The findings reveal that the zakat management mechanism has been structured systematically, encompassing collection, distribution, and mustahik classification based on the eight categories of asnaf. Specifically, professional zakat (zakat profesi) is collected via a 2.5% monthly salary deduction from teacher, staff, while zakat fitrah is accumulated from all teachers, staff, and students. The allocated zakat funds are regularly distributed to underprivileged students, orphans, and the community residing around the school environment. This financial intervention is proven to yield a positive impact by supporting educational expenses, fulfilling daily basic needs, and boosting students' learning motivation. The implication of this study emphasizes that the school-based zakat management model holds significant potential to be replicated as an effective social empowerment instrument to secure student welfare.

Abstract

Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a strategic role in enhancing organizational productivity through effective management of human capital. This study aims to analyze the influence of training and development, compensation, work environment, and work motivation on employee productivity. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of employees at manufacturing companies in Banten Province, with a sample of 120 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that training and development (t = 4.071; sig. = 0.000), compensation (t = 3.397; sig. = 0.001), work environment (t = 3.384; sig. = 0.001), and work motivation (t = 3.046; sig. = 0.003) each had a significant positive effect on employee productivity. Simultaneously, the four independent variables explained 67.4% of the variance in productivity (R² = 0.674; F = 59.821; sig. = 0.000). These findings underscore the importance of integrated HRM practices in improving employee productivity and organizational competitiveness.

Abstract

Increasing market competition requires firms to continuously develop superior product quality by aligning marketing strategies with diverse customer preferences in order to sustain competitive advantage. This study aims to empirically examine how the integration of customer segmentation and marketing mix strategies influences product quality superiority in competitive markets. The methodology used is quantitative and explanatory in nature with the help of structural equation modeling (SEM) with survey results obtained from 342 consumers in the manufacturing and modern retail industries. The findings indicate that customer segmentation is an important variable in the formation of the marketing mix and that both variables are positively contributing to the achievement of product quality superiority. The research contributes to the marketing discipline by proposing an integrated quantitative model that is used to explain the formation of sustainable product quality superiority with managerial implications for businesses that aim to enhance their competitive advantage with the help of marketing strategies.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of environmental disclosure quality on the value of Indonesian publicly listed companies. The research applies an explanatory quantitative approach using panel data obtained from annual reports, sustainability reports, and stock market information of non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021–2024 period. The final sample consists of 42 companies with 168 firm-year observations from manufacturing, mining, and energy sectors. Environmental disclosure quality is measured using a content analysis index based on information depth, quantitative disclosure, and reporting consistency, while firm value is proxied by Tobin’s Q and analyzed using a fixed effect panel regression model. The findings indicate that environmental disclosure quality has a positive and significant effect on firm value, suggesting that investors perceive transparent environmental reporting as a credible signal of corporate sustainability and lower information asymmetry. This study contributes by developing a substance-based environmental disclosure measurement framework aligned with recent sustainability reporting regulations in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy applied by Toko Bawang Merah Tradisional in Probolinggo to maintain customer loyalty, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing the marketing strategy. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation involving the store owner, employees, and loyal customers. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the marketing strategy of Toko Bawang Merah Tradisional is implemented through the Marketing Mix (4P): product, price, place, and promotion. This strategy is realized by maintaining product quality and variety, setting prices aligned with quality, selecting an easily accessible location, and conducting promotions via customer recommendations, social media, and price discounts. Customer loyalty is reflected in repeat purchases, willingness to continue shopping despite the presence of competitors, and readiness to recommend the store. Supporting factors include product quality, competitive pricing, good service, and a strategic location, while inhibiting factors include business competition, supplier price increases, shifts in customer preferences, and government policies. This study concludes that the marketing strategy applied by Toko Bawang Merah Tradisional successfully maintains customer loyalty through a marketing mix aligned with consumer needs, supported by consistent product quality and service. Despite facing external constraints, the strategy remains capable of supporting business sustainability and long-term customer relationships.

Abstract

Rice distribution is an important component of food supply chain sustainability; however, its implementation still faces various operational risks that may affect delivery timeliness, product quality, and company efficiency, particularly in local-scale rice distribution businesses. This study aims to analyze risk management in the rice distribution process at PT. AMANAH Sumber Ekonomi, Kademangan Sub-district, Probolinggo Regency, through risk identification, analysis, evaluation, and the formulation of risk treatment strategies based on the ISO 31000:2018 framework. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with informants selected purposively based on their involvement in and knowledge of distribution activities. Data analysis was conducted through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification, integrated with the risk management stages of ISO 31000:2018. The results identify five main operational risks: delivery delays caused by weather and road conditions, rice quality deterioration due to inappropriate moisture content, sack damage during loading and unloading, operational vehicle damage due to inadequate maintenance, and administrative errors in shipping documents. The analysis of likelihood and impact indicates that delivery delays and rice quality deterioration represent high-level risks and require priority treatment. The study concludes that risk management should be strengthened through adaptive distribution scheduling, moisture-content control, packaging inspection, regular vehicle maintenance, and shipping document verification to improve distribution effectiveness, reduce potential operational losses, and strengthen the resilience and reliability of the company’s operations.
