Abstract

Cash waqf is one of the Islamic economic instruments in the form of social funds and is voluntary. In addition, cash waqf can also be used as an alternative instrument to reduce poverty and inequality in Indonesia. However, the fact is evidenced by the data, that the realization of the collection of cash waqf is not in accordance with the calculation of its potential. One of the causes is the perception of each individual or society towards the cash waqf itself. This research was conducted to determine the public perception of cash waqf. The factors used in this study are factors of religiosity, income, education, understanding, and access to information media. The method used in this research is multiple regression analysis method. This research was conducted in the city of South Jakarta involving 100 respondents. The results of this study indicate that about 62% of the public know about cash waqf, but only about 38% have ever had cash waqf, so this is what makes the potential for the realization of its collection to be a gap. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the perception of the people of South Jakarta City is significantly influenced by the internal factors of the community itself, namely the level of individual understanding of cash waqf. While the internal factors that have no significant effect on people's perceptions of cash waqf are religiosity, income and education, the external factors are access to information media.

Abstract

The growth and expansion of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) is hampered by a number of challenges, including a lack of funding. For their operations to scale and modernize competitively, they must have access to long-term funding. Various digital-based financing solutions have emerged. Islamic crowdfunding is an alternative way to finance social projects, which is a new development. This research aims to examine the behavioral intentions of millennial MSMEs when using sharia crowdfunding on the island of Java. This research adopts the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by adding the sharia compliance variable to the TAM model. The approach used is quantitative, with data analysis techniques in the form of structural equation modeling-PLS (SEM-PLS) with the help of Smart PLS 3 software. The sample in this research was 200 millennial-generation MSMEs on the island of Java. The sampling method used was convenience sampling, which involved distributing an online questionnaire (a Google Form) using a 1–5 Likert scale. The findings of this research offer guidance on the potential for implementing sharia crowdfunding for MSMEs. Therefore, sharia crowdfunding has the potential to ease the government's burdens in providing funds for microbusinesses and improve their skills and mentality to be more independent, creative, and able to promote their products, as well as serve as an endorsement for spreading sharia crowdfunding for MSME capital solutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

Islamic philanthropy comes with moral values based on a humanist spirit. This research aims to provide a description of philanthropy according to the thoughts of elementary school (SD) children based on the simplicity and generosity of prophets and apostles. The approach in this research uses quantitative descriptive. The sample came from students of 5 elementary schools in the administrative area of Pemalang District with the sampling technique used was random sampling. Meanwhile, the analysis technique uses the method of hypothesis testing on signs, hypothesis testing via the khai-square distribution (X2), and hypothesis testing on changes (Mac Nemar change test). This research concludes that according to the understanding of elementary school children, philanthropy is something important and useful. Judging from the number of students who provide philanthropy, it can be concluded that the proportion of elementary school (SD) students who do not provide philanthropy is not constant and therefore the cause is significant factors. In other words, a certain treatment or stimulus is needed to provide elementary school students with an understanding of philanthropy. The conclusion obtained after the treatment or stimulus was that there was a change in behavioral preferences for giving philanthropy after the treatment or stimulus in the form of understanding the simple behavior and generosity of prophets and apostles was given.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mapping of research around multi-contract in shari'ah banks with a mix-method approach, namely VOSviewer bibliometric studies and literature reviews. "Data analysis techniques include: (1) mapping the number of journal publications distributed around Multi Akad using Microsoft Excel and Mendeley Desktop based on the year of publication; (2) mapping the results of bibliometric network visualization and journal publication trends around Multi Akad at shari'ah banks using VOSviewer (Visualization of Similarities) algorithm software based on the number of clusters and their items; and (3) mapping research topics around Multi Akad using literature studies. The results showed that: (1) based on mapping the number of journal publications, there were 500 journal publications about moral hazard for the period 2019-2023; (2) based on the mapping of VOSviewer bibliometric studies, the results of network visualization around the optimal portfolio are divided into 9 clusters and 146 topic items; (3) Based on the mapping of the literature review study, there are 3 topics about shari'ah banks that often appear first, second shari'ah contracts, and third multi-contracts. The implication and contribution of this research is to map research topics around multi-contract in shari'ah banks that are often or rarely researched by researchers, so that they can be a reference for researchers afterwards.

Abstract

This research was used to determine the effect of buying and selling financing, profit sharing financing, and rental financing on the financial performance of Bank Syariah Indonesia. The method used in this research is quantitative. This research uses secondary data (time series). The data collection technique (sample) in this research uses the Financial Report of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). Data analysis uses descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing with SPSS version 23. The aim of this research is to compare the financial performance of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) for the 2014–2021 period, before and after the Covid-19 pandemic which caused Sharia Bank financial performance to decline. The results of this research show that the sales and purchase financing and rental financing variables have no effect on the financial performance of Sharia Banks, while the profit sharing financing variables have an effect on performance before and after the Covid-19 pandemic. This research seeks to provide both theoretical and practical impacts on the development of Sharia Banking, especially in Indonesia. It is hoped that the implications of this research can be used by bank managers as a reference in making decisions and formulating improvements in banking performance in the future, where Islamic banks can maximize the financing that will be distributed to customers. As for customers, it is hoped that the results of this study can be used as material for consideration to determine the condition of the financial performance of Islamic banks as a basis for making decisions about using Islamic banking products. The limitation of this research is the secondary data used, which includes the quarterly reports for the 2015-2021 period.

Abstract

The magnitude of cash waqf potential in Indonesia, which reaches 180 trillion, has not been realized, as evidenced by the acquisition of cash waqf of only 1 trillion. Product innovations continue to be presented in order to attract the interest of the Muslim community in waqf, one of which is stock waqf which is present as an alternative to cash waqf derivative products with the main target of stock investors mediated by securities. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative approach with the type of research library, the findings of the research show that the implementation of waqf shares by wakif or investors is bridged by securities companies, which are then channeled to the waqf asset manager (nazir). The legal basis for waqf in stock waqf refers to the law of cash waqf because stock waqf is actually a derivative of cash waqf.
