Abstract

Thermography can be used as part of an earlydetection tool which gives women of all ages the opportunityto increase their chances of detecting breast diseases at avery early stage. Breast thermography is a noninvasiveprognostic procedure which can predict a tumor growth ratein breast cancer patients. The objective of this research is toacquire the potential of the statistical characteristics of thebreast thermogram images for the detection of the breastcancer.For this research we use thermal data images fromSardjito hospital at Yogyakarta, from normal and abnormalbreast (detected breast cancer). Firstly, download the breastimage thermograms from the InsideIR software of FlukeTi20 and save them as the inputs to our image processingprogram. Then adjust the format of the images, convert tograyscale images, and crop them to separate the suspectedobjects from the background. Finally we tabulated thestatistical characteristics of the objects which are the means,standard deviations, and entropy to reveal the abnormalitiesof breast thermograms.The results show that the method are promising todetect the abnormality on the breast thermogram images.The normal breast thermograms have minimum entropieswhich differ from those abnormal thermograms in the earlystage of breast cancer and thesignificantly from the moreadvanced of breast cancer.

Abstract

Virtual Aquarium is an application which can be used to display an aquarium together with its content that is look like a real one. By using this application, users can see the display of the aquarium like they are looking at the real object because it is displayed in 3D animation. WebGL is one of the technologies that can be used to build this 3D web. It is a canvas context from a HTML element which provides a 3D API graphic object that is implemented into a web browser without using the plug-in. WebGL can provide an interface program for 3D graphic. This new technology use a HTML5 version by accessing the canvas element which then it is accessed by using Document Object Model Interface. As a result, the user can see a Web interface which formerly in 2D, and then it is developed into 3D where the object can be seen from any other sides.

Abstract

Recently enterprises tend to develop web-basedapplication to deal with their business process. Withnumerous applications, enterprise must manage user foreach application and how to access those application in agood manner. Application portal with single-sign-onapproach is one alternative in managing user and enterpriseapplications. Single-sign-on approach can reduce thenecessaries to remember login information to eachapplication by user. As a solution in web-based contentmanagement system, Drupal is one alternative to manageboth issues above. Combined with LDAP (LightweightDirectory Access Protocol) to support single-sign-onapproach, LDAP integration module for Drupal is needed.This module will authenticate user information from LDAPserver. After LDAP authentication, the next problem is howto use the authenticated user information to sign onenterprise application. Other module needs to be developedsolve the problem.

Abstract

Nowadays, the programmable logiccontroller/PLC has been a key device in industrial automation. This device has a function to monitor production process and to control its operation automatically. This paper presents a framework to develop this product service-system PLC using opensource softwares. It includes software for PLC hardware development, firmware development and IDE system.

Abstract

Today, digital technology is entering people’s life in many of forms, including digital images.  As the increase of digital images quality, the size and dimension is bigger as well. Problem such as uploading time arises. Tools to make image file smaller in both size and dimension instantly is needed especially for instant purpose like sending via email or upload to social network sites. Developed in .Net Framework environment, Instant Image Resizer software will try to be one of tool that work instantly for resizing image. As resampling method, HighQualityBicubic will be used to achieve optimum quality. As user interface, this tool will use shortcut menu on Windows Operating System so user can access easily and instantly can give resize command to image file. Shortcut menu will be use context menu handler to handle verbs and file association that related to image in Windows Operating System. Abstract

The dynamics of extreme climate change is happening lately it affects the intensity of pest attacks. Like other living creatures, live of pests affected by climatological factors such as temperature, humidity, rainfall and so forth. This study aims to develop an early warning model the emergence of the rice plant pests (PERMADI), especially rodents and WBC based on historical data of climatology. In this case, bayesian algorithm do statistical calculation depend on the input variables are temperature, humidity and rainfall. Output expected is early warnings the emergence of the rice plant pests using SMS Gateway. Abstract

Salah satu bahan polimer yang dikembangkan sebagai isolator adalah Resin Epoksi. Bahan polimer ini memiliki kelebihan dibandingkan dengan isolator bahan isolasi keramik dan gelas. Isolator yang digunakan pada saluran transmisi dan jaringan distribusi seringkali melalui daerah pantai yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap kinerja isolator. Adanya kontaminan di udara dapat menempel pada permukaan material isolasi pasangan luar sehingga menyebabkan arus bocor mengalir pada permukaan isolator tersebut. Arus bocor ini merupakan peristiwa awal yang dapat mengakibatkan degradasi permukaan isolator yang lama-kelamaan menyebabkan terjadinya kegagalan isolator. Makalah ini mempresentasikan hasil pengukuran arus bocor skala laboratorium pada bahan material resin epoksi silane dengan menggunakan metode pengukuran Inclined-Plane Tracking (IPT). Pengukuran ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi komposisi silan terhadap sudut kontak hidrofobik dan arus bocor. Pengolahan data yang dilakukan meliputi pengukuran sudut kontak, waktu terjadinya arus bocor, arus bocor rata-rata, dan waktu penjejakan. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran dan analisis data menunjukkan bahwa komposisi silan mempengaruhi sudut kontak, waktu terjadinya arus bocor, besar arus bocor rata-rata, dan waktu penjejakan. Abstract

Nowadays, reporting system of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Epidemiologic investigation (PE DBD) in Health Department uses manual recording system. It takes more times for printing as well as for reading. This inefficient system will affect a longer decision making to handle the spread of dengue fever in Semarang. Therefore, a research is needed to overcome these problems, i.e. by developing mobile application embedded in cell phone and web application as administrator to facilitate the data management transmitted. There are several steps taken in this research. First, analyzing the existing system in Health Department. Second, designing system with Unified Modeling Language (UML). Third, developing an application using Java J2ME for client and Java J2EE for server as programming language and MySQL as database server. The last step is application testing.. Based on research results, it can be concluded that this application has been able to facilitate and accelerate the process of reporting the current PE dengue disease. Users consist of officers of PE as a user of mobile applications for data entry operator of PE DBD and P2P as web application server administrator. Abstract

Human iris has a very unique pattern which is different for each person so it is possible to use it as a basic of biometric recognition. To identify texture in an image, texture analysis method can be used. There is some texture analysis method, one of them is wavelet that extract the feature of image based on energy. The texture analysis using energy features which are in the wavelet transform. Based on that reason, in this research made a simulation to identified eyes iris based on Haar wavelet transform. First, the image of iris is segmented from eye image then enhanced with histogram equalization. The method used to extract the feature is Haar wavelet transform. The features obtained is energy value. The next step is recognition using normalized Euclidean distance. Four experiments are done in the research, those are influence of number of sample in database, influence of Haar wavelet transform level, influence of different input image format and testing on eye images which are not in database. As the result, the highest accuration is achieved using Haar wavelet transform level 4 with two samples iris image saved is 85,58%. The lowest accuration is achieved using Haar wavelet transform level 1 with one sample iris image saved is 65,27%. Then, from the test result for the influence of different input image format, the .bmp input image format is better than .jpg input image format.
