Abstract

Abstract

As the heritage of Islam, Madrasahs contributed many aspects of life especially for Moslem intellectual development in thepast. Inevitable, the ability of madrasahs, such as Nizamiyah College, in contributing such Moslem intellectual developmentcould not be separated from the role of its libraries in supporting the learning process. Moslem at the time made libraries not merely storehouses of books but they performed an important role as centers of learning. Therefore, Moslem contemporary should learn the spirit and factual experience of Moslem in the past in the promotion of literacy and libraries in developing human intelligence to create a center of excellence for Islamic education

Abstract

The proverb in Arabic Literature study consisted of five kinds: proverb of wisdom (al-Amsal Hikamiyah), Proverb of history (al-Amsal al-Tarikhiyah), Proverb of the nation (al-Amsal al-Syababiyah), Proverb of mistic (al-Amsal al-Fukahiyah). These proverbs above widely developed in the era of Jahiliyah and the first Islamic period. They also played a very important role in improving the Arabic literature.

Abstract

Nusantara image has entered the history of old Russian literature since the 11th-20th century. Its transmission process is in two ways. Firstly, translating classic and western European literature. Secondly, visiting Nusantara. This transmission effects the evolution of the Nusantara image in Russian literature representing the connection between two nations. This Nusantara image begins from the unrecognized Nusantara, a new age of translation, and a silver age if translation.

Abstract

Cheng Ho (Sam Poo Kong) is a sailor (seaman) and Chinese Moslem merchant. In the 14th century he arrived at Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. In respect to his visit, the people built a temple called Sam Poo Kong. He was supposed to be a god because of his blessing for the people who worshiped in that temple. In this ritual, activity appeared a concept of exchangeresulted from Javanese and Chinese cosmology
