The modern era which is now stepping on the industrial revolution 4.0 era has caused the human condition to change rapidly, they are “tempted” by technological sophistication so that they slowly forget and leave religion (God) which ultimately leads to social and spiritual problems in the midst of society in addition to moral problems that cannot be solved with any technological sophistication. The focus of this research is to analyze and find a solution to solve this problem through the concept of humanistic Sufism which was initiated by Said Aqil Siradj and Muh Amin Syukur. The findings produced are that humanistic Sufism Said Aqil and Amin Syukur are Sufism that teaches humans to be active in social life, pro-active to social problems, politics, economics, nationality, please help, tolerance, as well as to draw closer to God continuously. Humanistic Sufism also teaches to synergize between the world-hereafter, the soul-body, inner-soul, God-creature, social-individual, Sharia-nature. It is this moderate attitude which seeks to develop humanistic Sufism which later leads to the formation of social piety and spiritual piety that very relevant to the life of post modern people who are currently experiencing a social and spiritual crisis.

Abstract

Hijab is identified with loins and still a discussion of ambiguity. Because the hijab from time to time has a narrowing of meaning. The issue was increasingly margined and raised to the international world after the French Government planned, and had even established restrictions on the use of religious symbols in French schools. One of them is the use of hijab which is said to be symbol of Islam. This article will discuss the hijab, including the views of middle-classical interpretations of scholars such as Ibn Taymiyah and contemporary interpretations of scholars such as M. Quraish Shihab. Here some views on the headscarves according to previous scholars seem too strict, with contemporary scholars being better known for their concessions in responding to contemporary problems. After that will be seen its relevance to the present.

Abstract

Muhammad’s prophetic studies have been carried out through various approaches, Michael Cook chose a revisionist approach to seek to explore the history of prophecy through written evidence. In his view, Muhammad’s biography must be examined in more detail based on the evidence obtained to uncover the mystical veils in history. Cook’s criticism of the biographers of Muhammad, made him have to work hard to look at and re-examine the texts of the Quran more closely. This Article will explain the result of Cook’s studies about Muhammad’s success in shifting polytheism to monotheism. In addition, it shows the success of Muhammad as a political actor.

Abstract

This article attempts to criticizes the thoughts of Maurice Bucaille, an Orientalist from France who doubts the authenticity of the hadits contained in the book Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, especially those relating to medicine. As the primary sources that author uses, the Book of La Bible, Le Coran, et La Science which has been translated into Indonesian by M. Rasyidi with the title Bibles, Quran, and Modern Science. This research seeks to examine and examine the thinking of Maurice Bucaille and then analyze the traditions that are doubtful of their authenticity with a medical science approach. The hadits that are authenticated by Maurice Bucaille -ḥadīth about the development of human embryos, hadits about flies, hadits about the usefulness of dates, and hadits about fever- are authentic hadits seen from a medical perspective.  In other words, the hadits is in accordance with modern science. This proves that the criticism shown by Maurice Bucaille is incorrect.

Abstract

This article reviews the conception of interpretation deviation according to Ḥusayn al-Dhahabī. According to him, many interpreters have certain motives for making deviations in interpreting the Qur’an. Broadly speaking, al-Dhahabī conceptualizes mis-interpretation into two things. First, the interpreters who tend to overtake Isrāiliyāt history excessively, this occurs in the tafsir bi al-ma’thūr. Second, interpreters who interpret verses with incorrect meanings, this happens in tafsir bi al-ra’yi. This second deviation is often done by mufasirs who have certain mazhab background and Sufis due to their use metaphorical language. The findings of this article are, al-Dhahabī considers that there are some deviations in the interpretation of the Quran in the book of al-Kashfu wa al-Bayān an Tafsīr al-Qur’ān by Abū Isḥāq Aḥmad ibn Ibrāhīm al-Tha’labī al-Naisaburī and al-Kashshāf ‘An Ḥaqā’iq Ghamāmi al-Tanzīl wa ‘Uyūn al-Aqawīl fī Wujūh al-Ta’wīl by Abū al-Qasīm Maḥmūd ibn ‘Umar Ibn Muḥammad Ibn ‘Umar al-Zamakhsharī. Some interpretations of al-Tha’labī are considered to be distorted due to a number of quotes from the history of Isrāiliyāt. On the other hand, some interpretations of al-Zamakhsharī are considered to be distorted because they distort the meaning and bias of the mazhab.
