Abstract

Abstract. Ethnomathematic is a study done for examines how a group of people in particular culture comprehending, expressing and applying the mathematic concept and use on culture which described mathematically by the researcher. The aim of this research for describing kind of ethnomathematic activity of Javanese in Setail Village. This research is a qualitative ethnographic approach. How to capture the subject of research by the snowball technique, that is by looking one by one the subject prior to the data obtained experiencing saturation point and limited to 7 farmers. The result of this research shown there are mathematic applied on farming done by farmer of Setail Village. They are enumerating, counting, measuring, and designing. Rice farmers of Javanese in Setail Village always use the standard size of land area “seprapat bau” to count and measure in a variety of activities such as determining the amount of fertilizer, medicine, seed number, and number of workers. Counting activities shown when the farmer chopping the frequency of fertilization and seed treatment and plant rice. Designing activities shown when farmers designing farming tool called kerek. Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe the level of students' creative thinking in visual learning style in solving rectangular and square problems. The type of this research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. Data collection method used was questionnaire method, test method and interview method. The subjects of the study were the students of visual learning style in grade VIII-D SMP Negeri 1 Jember which amounted to 12 students. The degree of students' creative thinking was classified into five, namely TBK 4 (very creative), TBK 3 (creative), TBK 2 (quaite creative), TBK 1 (less creative) and TBK 0 (not creative) where the division of creative thinking based on reference levels of fluency, flexibility, and novelty. The validation analysis calculation based on problem-solving tests, obtained Va = 2.94 and validation analysis guidelines for the calculation of the interview, obtained Va = 2.58. The results showed that 4 students with TBK 4 qualified all creative thinking criteria that included fluency, flexibility, and novelty. 4 students with TBK 3 qualified two creative thinking criteria with details of a student qualified the fluency and novelty criteria, and 3 students qualified the criteria of fluency and flexibility. 2 students with TBK 2 qualified the criteria of flexibility. 1 student with TBK 1 qualified the fluency criteria. 1 student with TBK 0 did not qualify any criteria of creative thinking be it eloquence, flexibility, or novelty. Abstract

Abstract. This research is a descriptive research aimed to describe the mathematical reasoning in solving about PISA test on 15 Years Old Students in SMA Negeri 1 Jember who have high, middle, and low. Sampling was done by method Throwing Snowball until all the data can be considered saturated. The collection of data obtained from the analysis of mathematical reasoning tests, and interviews. From the results of data analysis, high ability students of mathematics tend to write what they know and asked complete without the use of symbols, write and implement a strategy properly, can write the correct final results and accompanied by the unit, reflection on the calculation and use of the formula as much as one. The middle ability students of mathematics tend to write down what they know and asked complete without the use of symbols, write and implement a strategy properly , can write the correct final result and accompanied by the unit, reflection on the part of the calculation only. While the students are capable of mathematics is low, tend to write what they know and asked complete without the use of symbols, could write one strategy execution but the steps are completion incomplete or contained wrong section and can carry out a correct strategy, can write the correct final results and accompanied by the unit, and a reflection on the calculation and use of the formula as much as one. Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to describe the influence of learning using Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education and conventional learning to athematical communication ability of students, and to know the difference between students who have high abilityand low ability to the mathematical communication abilities. Before determining the sample of population will be tested for normality and homogeneity. After the test have done, we get VII-H class and VII-I class as a control class and experiment class. Data collection was obtained by giving the test in experiment class and control class in the form of pre test and post test which have passed validity test. The results of data analysis is using independent sample t test, it show that tcount> ttable (1,995 > 1,933) and p-value (0,047 < 0,05) then H0 is refused. So there is an influence of learning using Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education and conventional learning to mathematical communication ability of students. To knowing whether there is an increase of mathematical communication ability on experiment class used paired sample test and be obtained significant value of 0,000. Because the significant value is 0,000 < 0,05 then there is increase mathematical communication ability of students. Number influence of variable is obtained value 21,809 with positive sign, it means that if there is no Indonesian realistic mathematics education approach then the value of mathematical communication ability is 21,809.Number of correlation coefficient (r) is 2,255, it means that the correlation between Indonesian realistic mathematics education variable and mathematics communication ability of students is positive. The results data analysis of the second hypothesis is using independent sample t test, it show that > (2,399 > 1,933) andp-value (0,022 < 0,05) then H0 is refused. It indicates that group of students who have high ability have significant difference of the result mathematical communication ability of students. Abstract

Abstract. This research is conducted to describe the process of learning media development and to know the product learning media development of mathematic interactive Schoology software Geogebra based on transformation geometry at class XI SMKN 2 Jember. This research is research of development based on development model 4D that describe by Thiagarajan wich consist of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. Subject of this research is students of class XI at SMKN 2 Jember at Multi Media with 1 thep students number are 32 students. Data collection in this research used validation sheets model from 3 validators, teachers interview, user quetionair and students score test. The result was analysed in descriptive form the result of research, the result of the media’s validity level is 93% or in other words the prevalence level is in the “High” category, the practical level is seen from students activity quetionnaire researching 84,2% or can be categorized as “Good” and the effectiveness level of 81,25% is in the “Practical” criterion, so it can be said that developed learning media worthy to be tested. Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to develop an online interactive learning media use assisted KelasKita software Geogebra on quadratic equations. Learning media developed is KelasKita-assisted software Geogebra. This research trial underway in SMP 7 Jember on grade VIII h. This is the kind of research the research development. This research using model Thiagarajan consisting of 4 stages are: 1) the stage of definition 2) stage design of 3) development stage 4) deployment phase. The results of the development on the research of the kevalidan of the analysis of test validation sheets from 3 correlation coefficients obtained validator the validator I of 0.97 0.94 registration validator II, and III of 0.91 validator from the validators valid category earned third with very high interpretation, test the practicality of the analysis of the percentage of the question form students obtained the percentage of 95% by category, and test the effectiveness of the analysis of the value of the test results of the study with a percentage of 94.7% of 38 students scored above the KKM with effective results. Based on the results of these learning media development shows that online interactive learning media use Geogebra software assisted KelasKita meets validity, practicality, effectiveness so that it is said to be worthy of use in learning. Interactive results between teachers and students in KelasKita shows the percentage of students who follow 47.36% for the method graph quadratic equations, and 42.1% to complete the perfect squares method of 38 students. Abstract

Abstract. In human respiration there are several factors that can affect the speed of air flow. This study describes the effect of initial velocity and Prandtl numbers on the velocity of airflow in the human respiratory system. In this study built airflow equations in the human respiratory system built from the mass continuity equation, changes in momentum and energy using the volume method up. Then made a disctritization of the flow of air circulation in the human respiratory system. Next make the air circulation program on the human respiratory system using MATLAB and FLUENT applications. The result of this research is airflow equation with error less than 1% and air circulation simulation program on human respiratory system. Keywords : Air Circulation, Finite Volume Method

Abstract

Abstract. This research is aimed to produce 4C’s indicators that are synchronal with 2013 curriculum on 1st semester of 9th grade junior high school’s mathematic subject. According to P21, 4C’s abilities are critical thinking, creative, communication, and collaboration. 9th grade material on the first semester consists of 3 chapters; quadratic and square root of number, quadratic equation, and quadratic function. The process of developing indicators in this study has the advantage that the indicators developed also relate to the skills of learners in terms of mastering technology, information and media. So in the 21st century students are expected to improve the ability of high-level thinking as well as technology mastering skills, so that students are able to develop in a competitive future. The research design used in this research is Plomp development model that has been modified and consists of 4 phase; preliminary investigation, design, realization/construction, test, evaluation, and revision. The instrument used in this research is 4C’s indicators validation that is synchronic with 2013 curriculum. The data collection process is conducted by using product validity test to some validates. The result of this 4C’s indicators development has 3,89 on validity result coefficient which is accepted in valid interpretation category. Therefore, the development of 4C’S indicators synchronize with 2013 curriculum on 1st semester of 9th grade junior high school’s mathematic subject has been qualified valid criterion. Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to describe seventh grade medium mental retardation students' thinking process in solving mathematics problem of addition and subtraction of algebraic form similar rate. The type of research was a descriptive study with qualitative approach. Instruments that were used in this research are contextual mathematical problem, interview guidelines, and validation sheet. The coeficient of validation instrument test is 4,59 and the coeficient of validation instrument interview guidelines is 4,40. Methods of data collection in this research are test and interview. The reseach subject is two medium mental retardation students' in SMPLB-C TPA Balung. Thinking process were analyzed in this reseach based on thinking process indicator in Piaget's step. Based of this research was subjects had difficulty in understanding, remembering, and solving the problem. This is because the level of medium mental retardation intelligence to low i.e. between 40-54, so the subject had disequilibrium, assimilation or accommodation, equilibrium, and back to disequilibrium. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to describe the thinking process of students in solving the problem of high-level thinking in accordance with predetermined indicators. The high-level thinking problem in this study refers to taxonomy bloom ie C4 (analysis), C5 (evaluation), and C6 (creation). Collaborative learning to enhance students' active role in solving high-order thinking problems. The thinking process of students in geometry in this study can be described based on van Hiele's theory. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach. Result of research from 23 students through collaborative learning, got 2 students according to van Hiele thinking level. The data obtained are 1 students who are in the process of thinking level 1 (analysis) and 1 student is in the process of thinking level 2 (informal deduction).
