Abstract

Application of Data Warehouse (DW) and Business Intelligence (BI), is an application that can be implemented by various companies to implement strategies to compete and benefit for organization generally will be effective and efficient operation of itsbusiness. This paper is an analysis of research results from the application of Business Intelligence and DW-related decision-making system. In this paper the focus of the analysis are a variety of Business Intelligence applications, how BI applications can affect the performance of the company / organization, how far the BI application is received by the organization, what decisions can be supported by BI, how many decisions can be taken from the BI application, how good the decision of BI applications, BI applications are applicable to various organizations / companies, allthe data to answer some of these problem from the previous research / literature. The result is a BI application analysis and comparison and criticism of previous studies.

Abstract

To evaluate/analyse the results of information systems projects, many researchers havebeen using TAM, UTAUT, and DeLone and McLean IS Success Model. Design-RealityGap Model was developed by Richard Heeks, this model has been used to evaluateseveral information systems projects in developing countries, such as hospitalinformation system project, e-government, and implementation of ERP project. Thismodel is claimed to provide a comprehensive explanation the cause of the failure orsuccess of information systems projects. This is the experimental study using IS Successmodel and Design Reality Gap Model with case study approach. A research objectSMEs in Jakarta, focus of this study only evaluates the quality system elements in ISsuccess model and Technology element in Design reality Gap Model. ERPImplementation evaluation experiment with these two models produce research outputsthat are complementary.

Abstract

On business or vacation travelling to outside city, it's need to take a rest for a while.Aim of this purpose travelling is begining from departure places that it's need to knowshortest and fastest path that belong to correct way to the destination places. Todetermine this shortest path, user have to know the route to reach any place from map.Although Surabaya is one of the big city, this city devide into five region and 31 districtthat define in Google map, Geographic Information system with shortest path finddestination place such rest place, Lodging house in this city is become recommend forthis new traveller. Dijkstra algorithm used to find shortest path very helpfully to solvetraveller problem although worst condition such as weather problem, missing path anddirection or etc. This application support with web base application that can be surffrom Handheld phone that very simple to used. This SIG with google map also expectedto help new traveller getting shortest path similar with his speed of driving.

Abstract

Noticing the development of technology is developing rapidly increasing, companiesneed information systems that can support decision-making requirement. The existenceof a bank's lending activities is certainly one advantage for the bank including also thecustomers. In need of credit ratings as a material consideration for the prospectivecustomer before the bank decides to accept or reject the request of prospectivecustomers, this is done given the risk of uncollectible big enough. To assist indetermining a person's determination would be eligible for a loan then takes a decisionsupport system. This study aims to design and build a Decision Support System forSelecting Candidates for Loan using TOPSIS method. The criteria used in determiningthe decision, among others, ability to repay, collateral value, duration and status of thehouse. The benefits of this application are to provide an alternative form of reference tothe bank in determining the prospective customer who deserved the loan.

Abstract

At present, there are many pattern classification methods that can be used such asLDA, kNN, Bayesian networks, CART, ANN and SVM. However, many classificationmethods mentioned above causes some issues. The problem are the large computationalcost, and weakness of methods mentioned above to classify the class because it is basedsolely on inter-class boundary (decision boundaries). As an alternative method otherthan the methods have already been exist, the relationship between features (interrelation)in a class can be used to classify a sample of a particular class. Based onthese ideas variable predictive model method based class discrimination (VPMCD) isproposed by (Raghuraj &Lakshminarayanan, 2008) as a new classification approach tothe problem of large data and overlapping which cannot be easily solved by the otherclassification methods. The testings are done using six well studied data sets (Diabetic,Hear, Iris, Wine, Digit, Letter). The results are equations wihich have capability toclasify new sample.

Abstract

This paper discusses the implementation of a method for single sign on (SSO) by usingCentral Authentication Service (CAS) and MySQL in a Web portal environment.Department of Informatics Faculty of Engineering Langlangbuana Univesity possesseda variety of web-based applications to support the academic activities, including webapplication libraries, application of laboratory management, and academicinformation systems. All access to these applications each needs a unique userauthentication for each user. This will cause the user login process many times. SingleSign On technologies provide convenience to the user to authenticate. Users only needto do a one-time login for access to all existing applications. Users do not have tomemorize numerous accounts, only one account and not have to repeatedly login, onesingle login is enough. It can also simplify user data in organizing existing datasecurity, so that the user is more secure, because it uses centralized user data storage.CAS used to handle communication problems between different web applications, so allthe applications can be integrated into a Web portal. MySQL is used as data storage, where all user data stored in a MySQL database.

Abstract

Bina Darma University as university-based Information Technology has steppedforward in the vision and mission. One of example is the implementation of InformationTechnology in the academic process, such as the Academic Information Systems, andE-learning. This system would assist lecturers in teaching and learning activities suchas knowing the schedule of teaching, preparing teaching materials and conducting theonline grading. This applications will be built is an alternative application that allowslecture to assess student work offline by using the android platform. Previous researchhas been done by creating a desktop-based desktop applications with converting exceldata format that is used to input grade student and then the data will be sent to theacademic information system. In the process of development will be an android-basedapplication that allowss implification of the previous application. Applications thatwill be designed for the lecturer can make an offline assessment to students, a featurethat was added to the android app is student attendance records. The methods to beused in the development of this system is the system life cycle. The expected result is themobile-based application with android platform that can facilitate the entry process ofstudent grade and convert them to academic information system.

Abstract

Development of Internet technology have evolved over time. This development led to thedevelopment of the current number of Internet users . The amount was fantastic at theend of March 2011 where the total number of Internet users is approximately6,930,055,154 users. The number of users has also resulted in competition in thedevelopment of a web browser that will be used by internet users. Some web browsersare a favorite on the Internet is Mozilla, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.Chrome extension is an application that can be developed by any developer who is toeffectiveness accessing the website This is because users no longer have trouble inaccessing a web page that is a favorite, because users can simply download the fileextensions and then installed into the web browse the chrome. This study refers to thefunction of the parts are there in the chrome extension of Diponegoro Universitycomputer system. The results obtained in this study was 100% of existing functions thatcan run in the browser google chrome.

Abstract

Transjogja, a busway transportation system, is widely used by people for traveling inYogyakarta. Because of increasing number of Transjogja shelters, using Transjogjabecomes more and more complicated for people. Therefore, the authors propose asolution by designing a location-based mobile application, which can provideinformation about Transjogja. The system is built using a Web Service in order tosupport a large number of outstanding mobile platforms. For the optimization of WebService access, the authors implement a cache in the client application in order tospeedup Web Service access time.

Abstract

Natural Deduction settlement in the realm of propositional logic, normally resolvedthrough top-down techniques, which means that the deduction starts from an expressionthat has been given and or with the assumption, then the rules of certain inferenproduce the next process is called derivation. This method done continuously until thelogical expression to be proved as the results are really materialized.Top-downapproach has certain difficulties not easily solved the difficulty to find an expressionthat became the beginning of proof or of the assumptions used. The difficulty isattempted facilitated by the completion of proof is reversed by bottom-up techniques.Verification process should start from the proved to find beginning of the proof.Toexplain the process of bottom-up approach, in this paper will be given an example onone of the Natural Deduction proof by Gentzen system.
