Abstract

This research aim to obtain a description about applying Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approachto increase learning outcomes on the set word problemsmatter inclassVIIFMTsNPalu Barat. This was a classroom action research  which refers to the design of the research Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, that is planning, action and observation, and reflection.This research is executed in two cycles.The research results showed that applying of RME approach to increase learning outcomes onthe set word problemsmatterfollowing these steps, namel: (1)understanding thecontextualproblem, (2) solving problem, (3) comparinganddiscussing the answer, (4)concluding.In stepunderstandingof contextualissues, the teacherpresents thecontextualissuesandasks the studentstounderstand thegiven problem. In stepsolve the problem, along withhis groupof studentswere asked tosolve the problem. Ina stepto compare and discussanswers, severalgroupspresented the results ofthe workinggroupandother groupsto compareand commentifthere are differences inthe answerswith the group.In theconcludingstep, the teacher directsstudents tomake inferencesfromapayangbeen studied.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the application of direct instruction models using the number line that can enhance students ability in solving addition and subtraction of integers in class VII 3 Banawa Junior High School . Kind of research is action research . This research design refers to the design of the study Kemmis and Mc . Taggart namely planning, action , observation and reflection . The results showed that the application of direct instruction  models using the number line that can enhance students ability in solving addition and subtraction of integers follow the phases namely : an introduction / introduction , presentation , guided practice , and independent practice .

Abstract

The objective of this research is to obtain a description in the implementation of design of learning to get concept which can increase the study value of students’ grade VII on the set material at MTs. Nurul Hasanah Pengawu. This reseacrh used Classroom Action Research, that based on Kurt lewin design.is planning, action, observation and reflection. The result of this research  showed  the used  of learning to get concept which can increase the one come  of student grade VII on the set material through 3  fase, that is: (1)  presentation and identification of data,(2) examined of concept and (3) strategies analyze.

Abstract

This research aim to obtain a description about applying structural exercise method can increase student learning outcomes on algebra operation in class VIII MTs Negeri Palu Barat. This was a classroom  action  research (CAR). The design of this research is based on Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model, they are planning, implementation of the action and observation, and also reflection. This research was conducted in 2 cycles each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. The research results showed that applying of structural exercise method can increase student learning outcomes with following the steps are (1) teacher open the learning activities and presents the objectives, motivation, apperception, and form groups, (2) teacher extend about the materials. The operation of addition and deduction in first cycle and the operation of multiplication, power, and division in second cycle, (3) teacher give structural woorksheets to be done in groups then they present their answers in front of class (4) teacher give a matter for individual. Then, teacher guide students to make inferences material of algebra form operation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to obtain a description about implementation Problem Based Learning model which can improve learning outcomes of student class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Palu about prism. This research type is a classroom action research which design is based of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. This research conducted two cycles. The research result indicate that implementation Problem Based Learning model can improve student learning outcomes, which the phase are: 1) basic concept; 2) defining the problem; 3) self learning; 4) group learning; and 5) assessment. In the basic concepts phase, the teacher presenting the prerequisites material. In the defining the problem phase, the teacher displays math problems. In the self learning phase, students independently seek solutions to a given problem. In the group learning phase, the students work on the problems with the friends group. In the assessment phase, the teacher with the students conduct an assessment of the results of group discussions.

Abstract

The aim of of this research was to describe the application of structured training methods that can improve student study result in the material exponential number in class X MIA 5 SMA Negeri 4 Palu. This research is aclassroom action research (CAR). As the research design refers to the design of the research of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart that is (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation and (4) reflection. This research was conducted in two cycles. The data collected in this research is activity of teachers in managing learning, activity of students in the following learning, the results of the initial test and final test results of action. The results showed that the application of structured training methods that can improve student study result in the material exponential number, through the steps that (1) preparing for learning, (2) the presentation of the implementation, (3) test behavior and (4) follow-up.

Abstract

This research aim to obtain a description about application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) that can improve students learning outcomes on length of tangent line to two circles in class VIII SMPN 19 Palu. The type of this research is classroom action research. The design of this research referred to Kemmis and Mc. Teggart’s design. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results of this research indicating that through the application of PBL that can improve student learning outcomes, by following the steps, as follow (1) orientation the students at the problem of using video or animation, (2) organize the students to learn, (3) assist in the investigation of individual and group, (4) develop and present work result and, (5) analyze and evaluate problem-solving process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the knowledge of eighth grade students in solving mathematical problems of  non geometry based on the level of development of the Van Hiele thinking. This study used qualitative methods with qualitative descriptive approach based on the troubleshooting steps proposed by Krulik and Rudnick. The results show that knowledge of the subjectis at level 2Van Hiele thinking developments in solving the mathematical problem of non geometry is as follows: (1) knowledge on the stage of reading and thinking about the problemis knowledge of the phrase "statement" and the sentence "question", (2) knowledge on stage explore and plan for solving the problemis the knowledge of how to mix between elimination and substitution, elimination method and the substitution method, (3) knowledge at the stage of selecting a solution strategy isknowledge of the steps of the chosen strategies, (4) Knowledge on the stage of searching for an answer is the knowledge of the implementation of the plan involves the knowledgeof equation, similartribes, operations on the algebra, and integer operations, (5) knowledge on the stage of reviewing the answer are subjec to observation at a previous job, then do a recalculation by means of substitution and then compare the results obtained.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to obtain the description of application scientific approach at cooperative learning of think pair share (TPS) to improve student understanding on line and angel in class VII Unggulan I SMP Negeri 6 Palu. The design of this research to Kemmis’ and Mc. Taggarts’design those are: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation and (4) reflection. This research was conducted in two cycles. The research result indicating that the application of scientific approach at cooperative learning of think pair share (TPS) can increase students understanding on line and angel through activities: (1) step think, students tried to copy and measured to find the angels which have same size, observed the picture of two parallel lines are intersected by another line, (2) step pair, students with they pair associating the relationship of the angels that are formed from two parallel lines are intersected by another line,(3) step share, studentstogether with they group communicated their discovery result in fron of the class

Abstract

The Objective of this research was to obtain the description about application of cooperative learning of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) to improve student’s learning outcomes on inference of mathematic logic in class X SMA GPID Palu. This research was class action research, that refered to the research design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The results of this research indicating that cooperative learning of NHT can improve student’s learning outcomes on inference of mathematic logic, by following the phases, those are: (1) phase convey the purpose and motivating student, (2) phase presentation of information, (3) phase organizing study groups and numbering, (4) phase questioning, (5) phase heads together, (6) phase answering.
