Abstract

The development of coastal region in West Borneo have basic problem, that is: first, many household are still poor. The second, there is deterioration of environmental quality. This conceptual study is intended to describe some problems of coastal region development and also try to formulate alternative strategy which can be done. Although its natural resources is very rich which is indicated by slope slightly of coastal and type of land is enough fertile, but some classical problems still occur, that is: a) still many communities are isolated, and b) social structure of community indicated to social polarization (two class community). Based on these features, so that some development strategy can be formulated, that is: (1) for isolated rural communities, the development strategy which can be done, is combine the participative and welfare strategy, and (2) for coastal rural, is suggested to do comprehensive strategy which is combine three development strategy, that is growth, welfare, and participative strategy. To increase income of fisherman needs to diversification source of income, not only on fisheries and agriculture but also non farm sector. Keywords: coastal region, development, development strategy

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the socio-economic conditions of the community and analyze the adaptation strategies carried out by rice farmer households in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic in Keramasan Village, Kertapati District, Palembang City. This study uses a survey method by conducting in-depth interviews with a number of rice farmer households affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with a total of 30 respondents and taken purposively. The results of the study related to the social conditions of rice farmers on sub-optimal land in Keramasan Village include age, gender, educational background, number of family members, farming experience, and the distance between the location of the farm and the farmer's residence. The adaptation strategy carried out by some rice farming households in Keramasan Village during the pandemic period included physical, social, and economic strategies. Physical strategies include always wearing a mask when traveling to the city, taking a shower immediately after returning from activities (work), reducing mobility to the city, providing handwashing and soap in front of the house, not selling crops to collectors who come from outside, join the vaccination program. The social strategies carried out include reducing gathering activities, delaying or not holding large-scale celebration events, not doing halal bil halal as usual during Eid, and always monitoring the development of information about the COVID-19 pandemic in the mass media. Economic strategies undertaken include increasing income from work outside of farming, reducing household expenditures, increasing farm productivity, and increasing the percentage of farm produce for own consumption compared to the amount sold.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the pattern of salak pondoh marketing channels, know the amount of cost, profit and marketing margin salak pondoh, analyze the factors that affect the marketing margin salak pondoh and know the level of efficiency economically from each marketing channel salak pondoh in Turi District Sleman. The basic method used in this study is descriptive and analytic method. Location of study is Turi District Sleman, because Turi Sub-district is the center of salak pondoh in Sleman District. The results showed that there are 3 (three) types of salak pondoh marketing channel. Channel I: Farmers → Wholesaler → Trader Outer City; Channel II: Farmers → Village Collector Traders → Wholesaler → Out of City Collector Trades; Channel III: Farmers → Export Collecting Traders → Mitra Turindo. The total marketing cost of marketing channels I, II, and III are Rp 720/kg, Rp 821/kg and Rp 1.101/kg. The total profit for marketing channels I, II, and III are Rp 180/kg, Rp 479/kg, and Rp 1.299/kg. The percentages of marketing margins for channels I, II, and III are 17,77%, 20,02%, and 31,58%. The factors that affect the marketing margin salak pondoh is marketing agencies. Marketing channel I is the most efficient marketing channel with marketing margin percentage value of 17,77% and farmer share value of 83,02%. Government should provide training of processing salak pondoh into snacks and farmers can register their garden to join export program.

Abstract

Peran ICT (Informasi, Komunikasi dan Teknologi) dalam konteks komunikasi pembangunan pertanian dan pedesaan sangat penting khususnya dalam difusi inovasi.  Pemanfaatan ICT dalam beragam bentuk dan wujudnya telah memberi dampak positif dalam memberdayakan masyarakat desa.  Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada kelompok pemuda tani dan desa yang tergabung dalam Lumbung Sumber Daya Pemuda (LSDP) Qaryah Thayyibah Salatiga.  Lebih lanjut tujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat hubungan pemanfaatan media ICT khususnya televisi, internet, HP, video, radio dan komputer memberikan kontribusi dalam pembangunan pedesaan.  Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus dengan metode kuantitatif.  Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner, FGD, observasi partisipatif dan data sekunder.  Studi ini menghubungkan pemanfaatan ICT dengan tiga konsep analisa gerakan pemuda tani yaitu sebagai alat mobilisasi sumber daya, alat kontruksi makna, dan alat peluang politik.  Hasil temuan penelitian membuktikan bahwa pemanfataan media ICT menghasilkan penyadaran dalam mobilisasi sumber daya, penyadaran dalam konstruksi makna pemuda terhadap kelompok lain dan penyadaran politik pemuda terhadap permasalahan yang terjadi di desanya.  Rekomendasi temuan ini dapat digunakan sebagai pembelajaran yang baik dengan mengenalkan media ICT  untuk komunikasi pembangunan pertanian dan pedesaan khususnya kelompok pemuda..Keywords : ICT, komunikasi pembangunan dan pedesaan, mobilisasi sumber daya, konstruksi makna, peluang politik.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of the entrepreneurial spirit of farmer group caretaker to the success of rural agribusiness development program. The analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. This study uses 36 board of farmer group in Sei Kunyit, Mempawah District. The results showed that entrepreneurship has a positive and significant value to the success of the rural agribusiness development program. While the application of management has a negative value and not significant to the success of rural agribusiness development program in Sei Kunyit, Mempawah District. Attribute entrepreneurship provides the effect of 0.261. This sshows that for the success of rural agribusiness development programs to consider and foster the entrepreneurial spirit of farmer group caretaker.Keywords :  Entrepreneurial Spirit, Applicaton of Busness Magement, Success of Rural Agrbusiness Development Effort

Abstract

Herlina, Analysis Of Efficiency Use Of Production Factors Of Rice Farming In Tidal Swamp Land Sungai Kakap Village, Sungai Kakap Subdistrict, Kubu Raya Regency, under the guidance of Dr. Ir. Erlinda Yurisinthae, MP as the First Supervisor and Ir. Sutarman Gafur, M.Sc, Ph.D as the Second Supervisor. This research objectives to analyze the effect of production factors are land area, number of seeds, Urea fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, KCl fertilizer, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides  and manpower to rice production and to analyze efficiency of production factors to the rice farming in tidal swamp land Sungai Kakap Village, Sungai Kakap Subdistrict, Kubu Raya Regency. The analytical method used in this research is survey method. The location was chosen intentionally in Sungai Kakap Village, Sungai Kakap Subdistrict, Kubu Raya Regency becouse this area is the center of producing rice in the Sungai Kakap Subdistrict, which consist of four orchards are Nirwana, Merpati, Merak, dan Garuda. The research sample of 35 farmers. This research used the data analysis with the Cobb Douglass Production Function and Efficiency.The result showed that factors are land area, NPK fertilizer, KCl fertilizer, herbicides and manpower partially significantly influence the production in the rice farming activities while the number of seeds, Urea fertilizer, insecticides and fungicides partially does not significantly affect the production in the rice farming. The  use of production factors in the rice farming in Tidal Swamp Land Sungai Kakap Village, Sungai Kakap Subdistrict, Kubu Raya Regency in the form of land area, NPK fertilizer, KCl fertilizer, herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides are not efficient while number of seeds, Urea fertilizer and manpower are inefficient.Keywords: Rice, Farming, Efficiency, Cobb Douglass

ABSTRACT Have been done conducted by research with the title analyse the channel of distribution and marketing efficiency fertilize to subsidize in subdistrict selakau, regency sambas to know the distribution process fertilize to subsidize from Petrochemical PT Pusri and PT of Gresik to paddy farmer and to know the level of marketing expense, swampy forest price ( price spread) and share margin which is in accepted by each channeling institute fertilize to subsidize. Data collected with the observation and interview to farmer. this Research population is farmer, producer, distributor, formal retailer and also retailer. election Sampel ( responden) done conducted by determining sampel farmer ( simple random sampling), sampel merchant determined by snowball is sampling.Result of research show, that pattern of distribution or channeling fertilize to subsidize in subdistrict of selakau of regency sambas of disagree with decision of SK Menperindak No. 17/M-DAG/PER/6/2011 that is first the than producer to distributor, laterthen to formal retailer then to retailer and last to consumer. Channeling fertilize to subsidize done conducted in subdistrict selakau indicate that the biggest margin value released by distributor institute whereabout fertilize the urea Rp. 400.16 / Singk of Za Rp. 1.136.16 / Singk of SP36 Rp. 522.16 / Singk of NPK Rp. 298.16 / Organic singk of Rp. 400.2 / Singk institute this represent the inefficient marketing channel of own the high in comparing formal institute retailer and retailer . While smallest marketing expense in releasing by institute of retailer whereabout to fertilize the urea Rp. 345 / singk of Za Rp. 345 / singk SP 36 Rp. 432 / singk of NPK Rp. 445 / organic singk of Rp.545 / singk, hence earn in concluding that channel of marketing of retailer is efficient marketing channel if in comparing with channel of marketing of formal retailer and distributor of karna own the low and obtain get the highest value share margin. Abstract

West Kalimantan, in addition to prioritize the programs to increase food production, also relying on the kind of horticultural crops as one of the new growth in the agricultural sector. The development of horticultural plants have good prospects of other agricultural commodities. This study aims to analyze the economics of agribusiness Papaya Hawaii. This study uses survey methods. Location is determined by purposive in kecamatan pontianak Utara. Population which is the object of research is the entire Papaya Hawai farmers in the District of North pontianak as many as 118 farmers. Sampling in this study determined by a simple random sample method. The sample in this study were a total of 32 farmers from around the Papaya Hawaii farmers in the district of North Pontianak. Data analysis is the analysis of profit, R/C ratio and Break Even Point (BEP). The results show that the profit received by papaya hawaii farmers is Rp 7216585.2 /year. R/C ratio is 3.82. In the agribusiness Papaya Hawai achieved selling price of Rp 1179 with sales volume of 569.3 kg to achieve the BEP. Key words: Profit, R/C ratio, Break Even Point (BEP), Papaya Hawaii.

Abstract

This research aim to analyse correlation program of Development Effort Agribisnis Countryside (PUAP) to Productivity Group Farmer in District Serawai and to know and analyse correlation program Development Effort Agribisnis Countryside (PUAP) to make-up of Productivity, Production, Revenue, Earnings and Cost of Farming in District  Serawai. Hypothesis the raised is Anticipated farmer which accept fund of PUAP, productivity, production, revenue, earnings and cost of farmer bigger than a farmer which do not accept fund of PUAP in District Serawai. Anticipated thecorrelation program of Development Effort Agribisnis Countryside (PUAP)  to make-up of farming production and earnings of farmer in District  Serawai. This Research use descriptive method with quantitative approach. Data collected by dividing kuesioner to responder and with interview to elite figure and responder. Research executed in Bedaha countryside and Tunas Harapan countryside in January to March 2013. Population which is taken in this research  four farmer group in Bedaha countryside and four farmer group in Tunas Harapan countryside. Taken Sampel by purposive counted 20 responder people each lot farmer. Amount of entirety sampel is 160 people. Conclusion, this research prove that farmer which accept fund of PUAP, productivity, production of farming and earnings of farmer bigger than a farmer which do not accept fund of PUAP in District Serawai. Raised by Suggestion is adjacent and tuition on an ongoing basis very expected by local farmer. Abstract

Agro processing cassava chips businesses is one of the efforts that are currently being developed in the city of Pontianak. The existence of this business is expected to improve the quality,  profitability,  value-added products. The purpose of this study was to determine the magnitude of the added value obtained from cassava chips processing in Pontianak. This research was conducted using descriptive methods, population in this study were cassava chips entrepreneurs in the city of Pontianak. Data collected included primary data and secondary data. Techniques of data collection is done by direct interviews with respondents and recording data from relevant agencies. Data analysis was performed by using a format according to the analysis of value-added Hayami method. The results of the study  show that the value added obtained in cassava chips agro-businesses in the city of Pontianak is Rp. 25 231 per kg or by 78.8%, with gains amounting to Rp. 24269.8 / kg with a profit margin of 95.56% employer.
