Abstract

Aquaculture in Floating Net Cage (FNC) is one of the reliable aquaculture technologies that is used to optimize the utilization of waters on rivers, lakes and reservoirs. The types of fish that is usually preserved in Floating Net Cage are Gold Fish (Cyprinus carpio) and Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Survey method is applied in this research and data sample is drawn from the farmer population of floating net cages in Kecamatan Pinoh Utara. The objective of this study is to determine the financial feasibility of aquaculture with Floating Net Cage (FNC) system. This achieved by considering Net Present Value (NPV), IRR (Internal Rate of Return), Net Benefit-Cost Ratio (B/C Ratio), Analysis of PP (Payback Periods) and Sensitivity Analysis. The result indicates that aquaculture of Nile Tilapia and Gold-Fish with Floating Net Cage (FNC) system was financially significant shown by Net Presents Value (NPV) 227.246.769,84 rupiahs, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) 190,97%, Net Benefit Cost ratio (B/C Ratio) 4,34 and Payback Periods (PP) 0,53 years (6 months 10 days). The sensitivity analysis indicates that if there was an increase in operational costs, the amount should not be more than 304,19% and if there was a decrease in profits, the amount should not be more than 44,11%. Keywords: Financial Analysis, Aquaculture, Floating Net Cage, Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Benefit-Cost Ratio (B/C Ratio).

Abstract

The aims of this research are (1) To Analyze the comparative and the competitive advantages of maize in Kabupaten Bengkayang (2) To analyze the impact of the government policy of maize in Kabupaten Bengkayang. The Analyze method use a Policy Analisys Matrix (PAM). The analisys showed that Domestic Resource of Ratio were 0,59 and Private Cost Ratio were 0,81. Both of them are less than one that’s mean the maize had the comparative and competitive advantages. To see the government policy of input can be shown from the Nominal Protection Coefficient on Output (NPCO). To see the government policy of input can been shown from the Nominal Coefficient on Input (NPCI) and factor Transfer. Simultanly the government policy if input and output can be shown from the Effective Protection Coefficient Value (EPC), Profitability Coefficient (PC) and Surplus Ratio to Producer (SRP). The analisys result shown that there is no government policy that have been made to the maize output in Kabupaten Bengkayang, right in buying  price subsidiary or protection of actual buying price. The government policy to maize input has been shown to the farmer side, but the subsidiary input price not profitable enough to increasment and development of maize product in Kabupaten Bengkayang if not followed by output price policy.Keyword : Comparative and Competitive Advantages, Policy Analisys Matrix, Maize

Abstract

Agricultural risks are a serious matter faced byfarmers. The objectivesof this studywere to 1) Analysis input factors that influence the production of jeruksiam farming in Kabupaten Sambas, 2) Analysis input factors that influence the production risk of jeruksiam farming in Kabupaten Sambas.  This research was a survey research to 100 farmers or jeruksiam in KecamatanTebasKabupaten Sambas. Qualitative analysis used to describe situation or phenomena of the research. Quantitative analysis used to analyze production and production risk through Just and Pope approach based on Cobb-Douglas production function model. This model examined by classical assumption test (multicollinearity and heteroscedastic) then examined with R2test, F-test, and t-test. The results showed that production inputs with positive coefficients increase production of jeruksiam such as land area (0.205), numbers of plant (0.504), Urea (0.573) andpesticide (0.064). But t-test showed that only numbers of plantand Urea that have real influence to the production of jeruksiam (p-value < 5%).
