ULUL ALBAB Jurnal Studi Islam (ISSN 1858-4349 and E-ISSN 2442-5249) is the journal published biannually by Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The journal puts emphasis on aspects related to Islamic studies, with special reference to Islamic law, Islamic education, Islamic politics, society, Islamic philosophy, Quran and hadith, and theology. Ulul Albab has been accredited by The Ministry of Research Tecnology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia (SK Dirjen Penguatan Riset dan Pengembangan Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi No. 48a/E/KPT/2017). The languages used in this journal are Indonesia, English and Arabic.

This research is to describe: (1) the background of emergence of Nurcholish Madjid' s thinking about Neo-Sufism. (2) the substance of Neo-Sufism according to Nurcholish Madjid and it's implication to the life of Islamic community. (3) to describe it's existence between classical Sufism and modern Sufism. This research is library research. The data in this research are qualitative data from the books and documents that relate to the topic. The collected data are analyzed by content analysis technique. This research find that two factor cause the emergence of Nurcholish Madjid's thinking about Neo-Sufism: (1) historical and scientific factor that sunni Sufism, philosophical Sufism and modern Sufism are contradicting and blaming each others on their concept. (2) actual factors that is, the emergence of spiritual crisis in the western country and their consciousness to repair it by studying Sufism teaching. Neo-Sufism is the continues of the classical Sufism and modern Sufism thinking, but it try to combine between them. If the classical Sufism stress on spiritual experience, spiritualism, uzlah, wirid, zikir and kasyaf, and take away the profane affairs, and modern Sufism see that uzlah, kasyaf and spiritual experience on classical Sufism as bid'ah and khurafat, Neo Sufism try to combine them by saying that spiritual experience, uzlah, and kasyaf are importance but not to far away from profane life. According to Neo Sufism, to be sufi is not throw away profane life but we still can be sufi although to be active in profane life. Nurcholish Madjid' s thinking o n Neo-Sufism is the consistence of Ibnu Taimiyah-Ib nu Qayyim Al-Juaziyah-Fazlurrahman an d Hamka thinking.

IMPLEMENTASI PENGGUNAAN POSITION POWER DAN PERSONAL POWER SERTA PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI UNIVERSITAS ISLAM NEGERI (UIN) MALANG Achmad Sani Suprianto

The Study aims at, 1) finding out the simultaneuos influence of position power, and personnal power on the performance. 2) finding out the partially influence of position power, and personnal power on the performance. This is an explanatory research involving the employees of UIN Malang as the analysis unit. The studi used proportional random sampling method and to collect data from 36 respondent a questionnaire was used. The analysis technique used were multiple regression, partial regression, and determination. The result of study showed that :1) simultaneously the position power, and personnal power significantly influenced the performance, 2) partially the position power, personal power had also positive influence on the performance. Foundation is a part of building construction having function continuously to support entire or all the building burden to ground. One of the factor of buildingcon truction should be supported by the sturdy foundation, and sturdy foundation depend on his compiler composition and dimension of foundation. Therefore it is needed tire calculations of foundation so that we get well guaranted of his stability. Besides that, ground factor also have stability of structure, because the ground sustain the foundation and place where burden given by foundation. Power factor support the ground against the foundation action is highly varied, it is _depend on composition and nature of ground, information concerning energy number support of this ground can be shown passing investigation _of ground. To guarantee security in a building one of the among others is to looking for comparison between foundations and well-balanced ground. The dimension of foundation must be enough and fit with the power of ground. Detennination of building foundation is very influenced by energy support the ground. And energy support the ground depict strength of ground to accepted burden. Energy support the ground is very influenced by character, nature, type, structure, formation, and component compiler of ground, besides also usage of foundation type is also influenced by contour, ground water face and topography. Energy supportÂ the ground explained by some concept or theories, among others is Terzaghi theory and accepted encumbering principle or apply at the foundation structure. From both this concept determinable of enough and stable dimension of strength sustain a building. The foundation dimension is reckoned by the minimum or smallest measure or dimension, but have ever been optimal to sustain the burden befall it.

Light plays vital role in human life, without which objects will be impossible to see and the beauty of world and universe will not be unseen. The theory of light merely describes its nature and leaves the essence unknown. Samuel Johnson maintains that light is known to everybody, but it is not easy to reveal its reality.Light of universe is the light of God shining upon the heart of His open-hearted servants dan embellishing His pious and devoted ones. Therefore, the heart of servant who is endowed with God's light will glow like the sun shining the moon. God's light in human heart surpasses fender light of the moon, becomes cure and draw near to God.

Human beings have two experiences; a) physical, and b) spiritual. The physical growth is based on the chronological age, then that is known as adultery. Whereas the spiritual growth is based on the capability level, and the top of this growth is known as maturity. The growth level that is achieved by every individual will be different. Anyone can be adult physically, not spiritually. To be adult spiritually, someone may be mature in his/her personality soul. The people's soul is mature when the people's mature soul is interrelated with religiosity that is known as a maturity of religious soul. 17zere are six characteristics of maturity: 1) having a good differentiation, 2) having dynamic motivation in spiritual life, 3) having proper implementation of the religion consistently and productively, 4) having comprehensive point of view, 5) having integrated point of view and 6) having high motivation in finding and serving the God.

It cannot be denied that religion and science play im portant roles in human life. The development of science in this modern world does not automatically reduce the influence of religion in human life, as predicted by the secularization theory. The fact that religion and science tend to be firmer interests many people, especially concerning the relation between them. Many perspectives and religious doctrines that seem in contradiction with the theory of modern science may arouse a conflict behveen religion and science. The case of execution to Galileo by the church in the nineteenth century and the long debate between the supporters of the Evolution and those of the Theory of Creation are the real proofs of the conflict between religion and science. To avoid the conflict, many people have tried to find the most appropriate model of relation. In the contemporary era, the "new flow" discussion of religion and science emerges. The discussion not only focuses on the level of discourse but also implementation. Many studies of integrativeinterconnection between religion and science in Islamic tertiary educational institutions indicate the efforts to match religion with science.

In some recent years, Islamic financial and economy grows rapidly. This evidence can be proved by the growth of Syariah Financial Institution (LKS) in Indonesia that reached to 70 % . This phenomena was contradictory to Conventional Financial Institution that reached only one digit rate of average growth. One of the booming instruments in Islamic financial is syariah obligation. In general, this obligation which is offered by Emiten over subscribe. It become the alternative source of funds while the investors already sick and tired with the conventional financial portfolio products. Activities in capital market influenced by macro economy condition in a country. If the macro indicator stable, capital market activities would be stimulate. There are many indicators of macro economy used for calculate the national growth, such as the inflation and interest rate level. The purpose of this research is to knowing how the inflation and SB! interest rate level influences the syariah obligation return Mudharabah and Ijarah in Indonesia simultaneously. Population in this research is syariah obligation return Mudharabah and ljarah level in Indonesia. The instrument used in this analysis is double linear regression. The results of this research are (1)Both inflation and SBI interest rate level significantly influences syariah obligation return Mudharabah (2) Both inflation and SBI interest rate level were not significantly influences syariah obligation return Ijarah.
