Abstract

SEDAYU, A. 2009. A new species of Xanthostemon (Myrtaceae) from Natuna Islands, Indonesia. Reinwardtia 12(5): 447–449. — A new species of Xanthostemon, X. natunae was collected from Natuna Islands,Indonesia, outside the previous known westernmost distribution limit in Palawan (X. speciosus). Its differences with X. confertiflorus Merr. (Celebes) are discussed.

Abstract

Ragunan Zoo is among few large green areas in Jakarta where the natural local flora remains, including ferns, are capable to proliferate according to habitat availability. We performed a pteridology survey in Ragunan and found 21 fern species, most of which was free living species, not cultivated species. In fact, the highest importance values were held entirely by free living species, Amphineuron terminans (Thelypteridaceae; 32.93), followed by Sphaerostephanos appendiculata (Thelypteridaceae; 27.70), Nephrolepis biserrata (Lomariopsidaceae; 26.63), and Adiantum tenerum (Adiantaceae; 22.01). The Shannon-Wiener diversity index for Ragunan ferns was 2.39 (high-moderate). When compared to other urban and conservational areas (using existing literatures), Ragunan fern species number is within range of average species number curve constructed by both areas. We believe in ferns, the anemochorous spore dispersal mode and the capability of long range dispersal are very important, thus expanding the recruitment and establishment rate in urban habitats, especially those less-managed, comparable with those in conservational areas.  Key words: conservational area, ferns, spore dispersal, urban habitat

Abstract

The monetary circulation in construction projects is very important to be analyse and evaluated from the perspective of islamic law. This is so because most construction companies were indicated practicing some methods which have no basis in Islam. Some of them are even legally done some practice which considered as forbidden in Islam, such as dishonesty, manipulations, and injustice acts. Moreover, in Indonesia most of construction companies are using a foreign method from the former collonial government. The methods are found to be generating conflicts between persons in the project, and therefore could damage the social relationship of human being. BOW Analysis, and SNI which developed from BOW are still used in Indonesia. Those methods are not able yet to stand for some essential human rights, especially for the projects’ labor. The same condition happens too in the modern-world analysis which have coeffecients in determining worker fee, such as Weibull Analysis. This very sophisticated analysis is unable to answer the economic problems of society. All these methods were developed under the capitalistic framework which only intended to obtain more individual benefit, without considering the loss resulted to other people’s lives. Labor’s payment is very low in this capitalistic construction analysis. They are assumed similar to machines and equipments which has a range of productivity. If they became unproductive after some period of time, they can be thrown easily without considering their lives needs. On the other side, economic system in Islamic law is provided with some solutions to answer all social and economical problems in the society. Shariah economic and management system which is applied in a construction corporation’s system analysis and accountancy will bring great advantages, whether for its labor and company, or for society in general. Within the shariah construction management, all parties will reach Allah’s blessing and gain benefits in both worldly life and the hereafter.

Abstract

The development of world construction projects at this time that established by widespread methods of physical implementation which more excellent and sophisticated. The contractors are competing to obtain optimum results, and reduce losses more lower. The results obtained should not give benefit one person only, the other one should not to lose and suffer. Islam guides human how they work give benefit to their own and others. Many methods, equipment, and expertise deployed by the contractor for their work more optimal, one method for optimizing the physical implementation of the project is Dynamic Programming. Dynamic Programming to solve the problem optimization is not only with one step, but the events that took place linked to each other. Case study in this paper is the application of dynamic programming of implementation method of concrete casting on floor slab of Green House building, it’s belongs to Department of Biology, UIN Maliki Malang with backward induction phase. In modern century as this era has many fast-growing method of implementation that are categorized as advanced, but the problem that the methods actually optimal in terms of cost and time, due to cost and time parameters are very important in the progress of construction projects. The methods is very sophisticated so make project to be done very fast but it is very expensive financing, or the method is still conventional and traditional so that project costs will be reduced as cheaply, but the project need long time to be finished. Where is the decision that one will be expected to demand that we use what method. Mathematical formulas of dynamic programming as recursive equation with change big problem into smaller sub-problems, so the completion of smaller problems will be found solving of the original problem. Optimization process in this case that slab casting which solved in two methods, manually calculations with a recursive formula and use software DS Win 2.0. Optimization result of the two method are compared, and the two method produce similar results. Optimal or not parameter of the two method is optimum time and cost.

Abstract

Foundation is a part of building construction having function continuously to support entire or all the building burden to ground. One of the factor of buildingcon truction should be supported by the sturdy foundation, and sturdy foundation depend on his compiler composition and dimension of foundation. Therefore it is needed tire calculations of foundation so that we get well guaranted of his stability. Besides that, ground factor also have stability of structure, because the ground sustain the foundation and place where burden given by foundation. Power factor support the ground against the foundation action is highly varied, it is _depend on composition and nature of ground, information concerning energy number support of this ground can be shown passing investigation _of ground. To guarantee security in a building one of the among others is to looking for comparison between foundations and well-balanced ground. The dimension of foundation must be enough and fit with the power of ground. Detennination of building foundation is very influenced by energy support the ground. And energy support the ground depict strength of ground to accepted burden. Energy support the ground is very influenced by character, nature, type, structure, formation, and component compiler of ground, besides also usage of foundation type is also influenced by contour, ground water face and topography. Energy support  the ground explained by some concept or theories, among others is Terzaghi theory and accepted encumbering principle or apply at the foundation structure. From both this concept determinable of enough and stable dimension of strength sustain a building. The foundation dimension is reckoned by the minimum or smallest measure or dimension, but have ever been optimal to sustain the burden befall it.

Abstract

Earthquake is very attractive to be studied in perspective of al Quran and also system of building construction. Earthquake as nature phenomenon was told as disaster which mentioned in al Quran, and earthquake is also load for building construction. Earthquake can be caused by formation of earth coat which do not uniform, this matter cause coat try to move in its position. The change of coat was caused formation of earth itself and uncontrolled exploitation of nature resource forcing geology formation become to change. Especial principle of civil building is to human target, and has the meaning that element of essence of human being placed highest on course to be protected against by all kinds of building encumbering. In planning building resistances to earthquake, used a planning concept base on performance (performance based-design) by specifying level several of structure performance (multiple performance levels). This performance grade is level of building performance expected will be done at the building structure accept earthquake load with the certain intensity level. Conception the the planning become the newest trend in this time, where this concept represent the combination from aspect of prisoner and helper aspect. Characteristics of seismic structure are evaluated by using performance evaluation that composed pushover analyzes and inelastic dynamic time history analyze.

Abstract

One of the problems that employees often face is the employment pressure from their superiors. The impact of the problem includes the increase of employee turnover, the decrease of employee motivation, and the increase of employee absenteeism. Such condition decreases organizational effectivity. Therefore, the first step done by the organization is to increase employee commitment in order to improve effectiveness. To increase employees' commitment, the role of leadership is very important. One of the most popular leadership styles and suitable applied in many setting is the transformational leadership style. It significantly contributes to the improvement of organizational commitment. The leadership has four dimensions: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration. The current study aims to find empirical evidence of the contribution of transformational leadership styles to organizational commitment. The employees of BPR in the city of Semarang are used as samples in the study. The data used are primary data obtained from the distribution of questionnaires to respondents. This study used descriptive analysis techniques and multiple linear regression. The results prove that simultaneously transformational leadership style significantly influence the organizational commitment. Partially inspirational motivation and individualized consideration variables have a significantly positive effect on organizational commitment. However, the idealized influence and intellectual stimulation variable have no effect on organizational commitment. The findings have theoritical and practical implication. From theoritical side, the continued research need to conduct to give clearer description of the two variables relationship. From practical side, leaders of BPR can consider the findings to improve their employee commitment.. Keywords: transformational leadership style and organizational commitment

Abstract

Bencana gunung Kelud yang meletus pada 2014 yang lalu menimbulkan banyak kerugian berupa rusaknya infrastruktur dan fasilitas meliputi bangunan gedung, prasarana utilitas kawasan perumahan dan pemukiman, fasilitas untuk keperluan umum atau publik, area pertanian, usaha peternakan, tatanan vegetasi, dan kerusakan yang lain. Kajian ini merupakan hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat Jurusan Teknik Arsitektur Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan melakukan identifikasi penataan sistem distribusi air bersih pasca bencana letusan Gunung Kelud. Kegiatan ini juga berupaya untuk mengetahui kondisi eksisting dan ketersediaan air bersih di dusun Bales Pandansari Ngantang Kabupaten Malang. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem distribusi air bersih yang disediakan oleh masyarakat desa Pandansari Kecamatan Ngantang Kabupaten Malang masih belum efektif. Kondisi eksisting ketersediaan belum memadai untuk kebutuhan masyarakat sehari-hari. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari saluran air bersih untuk setiap rumah tanpa direncanakan dengan baik dan tanpa memperhatikan aspek teknis perpipaan.

Abstract

ERVIANTI, D., WIDJAJA, E. A. & SEDAYU, A. 2019. New species of climbing and scrambling bamboo from Sulawesi, Indonesia. Reinwardtia 18(2): 115?132 ? Ten new species of Sulawesi bamboos are discovered, belonging to the climbing genus Dinochloa Büse and the scrambling Fimbribambusa Widjaja. These are Dinochloa bungintimbensis Widjaja & Ervianti, D. glabra Widjaja & Ervianti, D. karaboensis Widjaja & Ervianti, D. khoonmengii Widjaja & Ervianti, D. kolakaensis Widjaja & Ervianti, D. mekonggensis Widjaja & Ervianti, D. multibrachiata Widjaja & Ervianti, D. sessilifolia Widjaja & Ervianti, D. wartabonei Widjaja & Ervianti, and Fimbribambusa soejatmiae Widjaja & Ervianti. Identification keys, descriptions and illustrations of these species are presented.

Abstract

Kegiatan pembelajaran di pondok pesantren didukung oleh ketersediaan dan kinerja fasilitas fisik bangunan gedung yang dimiliki. Dukungan ini perlu diperhatikan mengingat peran penting pondok pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan ke-Islaman yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia Indonesia secara mental spiritual. Pondok pesantren terdiri atas ruang kelas, asrama, masjid, kantin, kantor, perpustakaan, dan lain-lain. Ruang atau gedung tersebut dipengaruhi oleh komponen fisik bangunan yang menunjang tingkat keselamatan, keamanan, dan kenyamanan bagi penggunanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat kepentingan faktor kinerja fasilitas bangunan pondok pesantren dengan berbasis prinsip bangunan ramah lingkungan (Green Building). Objek dan lokasi penelitian adalah pondok pesantren Al-Fatah Kabupaten Malang Jawa Timur. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis deskripsi statistik tingkat kepentingan pengguna yang terdiri dari kiyai (ustad), santri, dan pengunjung. Hasil survei memperoleh sepuluh faktor kinerja meliputi Keamanan (Security), Keselamatan dan kesehatan (Safety and Healthy), Fungsi (Function), Estetika (Aesthetics), Kemudahan dan keterjangkauan (Easiness and Accessbility), Keandalan (Reliability), Daya tahan (Durability), Kenyamanan dan keteraturan (Comfortable and Regularity), Ketersediaan dan kapasitas (Availability and Capacity) dan Ramah Lingkungan (Eco-friendly). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara rata-rata untuk 10 faktor kinerja yang memiliki skor tingkat kepentingan pada skala penting (skala likert 4).Kata kunci: Identifikasi, tingkat kepentingan, kinerja, green building, pondok pesantren
