Abstract

This research was conducted in August 2009. Commodities have certain sugarcane proved good prospects for sugar prices from year to year continue to increase. This is expected to have a balance between sugarcane farmers' income with the increase in sugar prices. In general, the purpose of this study was to test how much influence the supply price policy, quality of services and facilities conducted by the New Krebet PG for sugarcane farmers around South Malang Regency. Results showed that the policy affects the supply price of sugarcane farmers and the loyalty of service quality did not provide a positive impact on the loyalty of sugarcane farmers. This research hopes to PG policy New Krebet always siding with the interests and the fate of sugarcane farmers and factory environments around the intertwined relationships of a harmonious partnership between sugar cane farmers by the factory.

Abstract

Research target is test prospectus information influence to initial return. Sample Research as much 53 manufacturing and non manufacturing  doing tender in JSX (Jakarta Stock Exchange) at range of time 2005-2007. Intake sample method by purposive sampling with equity criterion which underpricing prospectus report and published fulfill data equipment. Analyse data use doubled regression to test  strength of among auditor reputation, emission guarantor reputation, old age company, equity percentage which on the market, ROA, leverage, industrial sector of earning management with initial return. Result of analysis indicate that there is two variable having an effect on significance to initial return that is emission guarantor reputation and auditor reputation. Assess significance T for the auditor reputation is 0.037 meaning significance at  5%. While result of test correlation indicate that emission guarantor reputation variable can explain initial return equal to 0.200 or equal to 20% positive to initial return. This result support research which have been done by Balvers ( 1998) that is emission guarantor reputation and auditor reputation have an effect on negativity significance to initial return.

Abstract

The objectives of the research are to know the concurrent effects of educational factors of consumers along with the price, quality, distribution, and promotion of towards the consumers' behavior in purchasing instant noodle, and to identify what factors have a dominant effect on the consumers' behavior in purchasing instant noodle in Malang. After an examination of 200 respondents by means of multiple linear regression method, the study found that: (1) F count value is 34.677, meaning that it is larger than F table (2.14). This indicates that there are significant concurrent effects of educational factors of consumers along with the price, quality, distribution, and promotion of instant noodle towards the consumers' behavior in purchasing instant noodle in Malang. Thus, the first hypothesis is accepted. (2) Among the independent variables that were examined, price has a dominant and significant effect on consumers' decision in purchasing instant noodle. Thus, the second hypothesis is accepted. (3) Viewed from the effects of individual factors on consumers' behavior in purchasing instant noodle, then: (a) Price has a significant effect of 12.15% on the purchase of instant noodle. (b) Education and income have a significant effect on the purchase of instant noodle. (c) Quality, distribution, and promotion have a significant but little effect on the purchase of instant noodle.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of minimum wages and employment of industrial sector in East Java. Researchers include two control variables are GDP as control variable of demand labor and work force as control variable of supply labor by using panel data from all districts and cities in East Java (29 districts and nine cities). Analysis of this study used panel data analysis which consisting of the Common Effect model, Fixed Effect model and Random Effect model, then chosed the most appropriate model. The result of this study show after testing the models, the appropriate model is fixed effect where minimum wages have negative effect of employment in industrial sector in east java.

Abstract

Objective of the research is to find out the considered factor for market segmentation at the insurance company in Malang based on benefit and preference approaches. Data analysis used factor analysis in order to find out any considered factors in performing market segmentation based on benefit and preference approaches. Result of the research shows five dimensions or factor, which are considered in performing market segmentation based on benefit and preference approaches of the customers at the insurance company in Malang. Those factors are is as fellow experiences of the company, product utility, varieties of the product, services and income. Result implication of the research for the insurance company in Malang shows that the segmentation should be directed to customers who pay more attention an reliability of the company and customers who look for utility of the insurance product as well as customers who get wage from side jobs in addition to monthly pay.

Abstract

The mission this research to make analysis about the effect of motivation factors that concists of income, environment of work, connected between labours, award, and promotion of profession, towards to performance of labour in Kabupaten Fak-fak, the second mission analized between this variables, what are dominant variables towards to performance of labour. The first hypothesis reallty, that is there are significant effect between motivation variables that consists of income (X1), environment of work (X2), connected between labours  (X3), awards (X4), and promotion of profession (X5), towards to performance of labour in Kabupaten Fak-fak. Between that five variables have two variables that have significant effect that is X3, and X4 and then there aren’t three significant variables that is X1, X2, dan X5. And then for the second mission in this research that want to know that award variable (X4) is motivation variables that have effect dominant variable towards to performance of labour in Kabupaten Fak-fak.

Abstract

This research analyzed some problems, such as: influence of the subordinate competence (X1) and leadership style (X2) toward effectiveness of the organization (Y). Hypothesis of this research is, first, it is presumed that both subordinate competence and leadership style have simultaneously significant influence toward effectiveness of the organization. Second, it is presumed that leadership style has dominant influence toward effectiveness of the organization. Data analysis technique uses multiple regressions. Technique of the sample collecting uses census. Result of the multiple linear regression analysis shows that variables of subordinate competence and leadership style have significant influence toward effectiveness of the organization, therefore, the first hypothesis is accepted. The test result of the regression coefficient value resulted by each independent variable shows that independent variable of leadership style (0.427) has the highest value for the regression coefficient in comparison with the independent variable for the subordinate competence (0.288). The comparison result of the regression coefficient values resulted by each independent variable shows that the second hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

This research intends to predict factors that drive consumer to buying insurance policy, based on consumer behavior model by Howard. In main variable used is buying decision. In addition, this study also include information, brand image, confidence and atitude as the control variables. The analysis unit are exclusive policy insured in Biak region. The data collection by using questionaire. The t test in simple regression models are used to test hypoteses.Research finding about : first, information unsignificant to influence confidence and atitude, but statistically significant to influence brand image. Second, brand image are statistically significant to influence confidence and atitude. Third, confidence and atitude are statistically significant to influence buying decision.

Abstract

This research is intended to find out the influence of elements in situational leadership style toward the performance of the Dinas Pendapatan Kabupaten Fak-fak employees. The elements to be analysed include the instructive leadership behavior (X1), consultative leadership behaviour (X2), participative leadership behaviour (X3), and delegacies leadership behaviour (X4), as independent variables, and the performance as dependent variable. The objectives of the research are to analysed the influence of the situational leadership style which consist of instructive leadership behaviour (X1), consultative leadership behaviour (X2), participative leadership behaviour (X3), and delegacies leadership behaviour (X4) toward performance of the Dinas Pendapatan Kabupaten Fak-fak employees and to analysed the dominant influence leadership behaviour toward performance of the Dinas Pendapatan Kabupaten Fak-fak employees. The whole employees, 73 person, of Dinas Pendapatan Kabupaten Fak-fak is considered as the population, and all of the employees as a sample by using census technique. The result of the research shows that the instructive leadership behaviour (X1), consultative leadership behaviour (X2), participative leadership behaviour (X3), and delegacies leadership behaviour (X4) has no significant influences toward performance, and the Ho at first hypothetic is rejected. its means the delegacies leadership behaviour has significant influence toward performance. Answering the second hypothetic found the regression coefficient delegacies leadership behaviour has the value of 0.626, and significantly value 0.046. So the delegacies leadership behaviour has positive and significant value toward performance, and the second hypothetic is rejected.

Abstract

This research paper will analyze the development of tourism industry in Singapore in which it focuses on the increasing number of tourist visit to Singapore, that contribute a significant source of tourism sector’s income and its role to generate the Singapore’s Gross Domestic Product (GDPS). The research aims to examine general characteristics of Singapore’s tourism industry and its role within the process of globalization. By applying the theoretical explanations, this research will observe several main questions: How the tourist locates Singapore as a tourist place and how they enter Singapore. In addition, what are the possible consequences on Singapore especially the influence on its National Income? The field research has been conducted at the most popular location of tourist area. Three equations had formed the hypothesis to answer those questions. First, the output of the study has shown that the price of consumer index (Index) have influence the increasing number of tourist to Singapore (TouS) in a positive way. Second, there are many other factors that contributed to the tourism sector’s income, however, the output of this study revealed only the total number of hotels in Singapore (HoS) is the major factors that contributed to the tourism sector’s income (ImS).
