To process the data used instrument statistic program of Eviews 7.2 application that will give numeric output. This study used pooled data regression test with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) and using two estimation approaches: Fixed Effect model and Random Effect model. Besides, to examines the two models, it was used Hausman Test. The result showed that interest rate has positive influence to MSMB in villages/cities in South Sumatra Province with amount of interest rate 0.311346 and probability 0.0245 because the interest rate at that time was subsidized by government, so eventhough the interest rate was high people did not get trouble to borrow money in the bank. Economic growth has positive and significant influence to MSMB as amount 1.077473 because if economic growth increases so people income will increase, then the consume will increase and the output will increase too.

Abstract

This research empirically measures the economic exposure of 11 selected miscellaneous companies in Indonesia. It also attempts to empirically explore the influence of firm size, export, liquidity, and leverage on the economic exposure of those companies. Annual data from 2007 to 2010, which was collected from the www.idx.co.id and www.bi.go.id were used and analyzed by the multiple linear regression to measure the economic exposure and examine the influences of the firm size, export, liquidity, and leverage on the economic exposure. Both partial (t-test) and simultaneous (F-test) hypotheses were constructed and tested using the software of SPSS for Windows. The research documented that, with the exception of the liquidity, which has a negative and significant effect partially on the economic exposure, all other variables, i.e., the firm size, export, and leverage were found to have insignificant effects. Meanwhile, based on the F-test, the research found that the firm size, export, liquidity, and leverage affected simultaneously and significantly the economic exposure of the companies. These findings imply that in order to manage their economic exposure, the companies should control these variables, especially the liquidity.

AbstractAt this time, business growth requires proper companys financial strategy, especially by managing the capitalstructure to meet funding need of business operations. This research describes the impact of capital structure onfinancial performance of finance company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the years 2009-2013. The dependent variable in this study is financial performance composed of return on assets ratio (ROA),return on equity ratio (ROE) and price-to-earnings ratio (PER).While the independent variable in the form ofcapital structure is the ratio of debt to total assets (DAR) and the ratio of debt to total equity (DER). The resultof panel data regression analysis showed that the capital structure has negative significant effect on financialperformance of ROA and ROE, but has positive significant effect on PER. Based on these results, the financecompanies should apply the precautionary principle in managing capital resources coming from debt financing, because the increased component of excessive debt in the capital structure of the company could lead to anincrease in the financial burden that affects the reduction in companys profit.
