Abstract

Improving the quality of nursing can be obtained if the nurses were able to carry out nursing care standards, ranging from assessment through the following evaluation with documentation. Standardized language in describing the problems of patients is needed. Standardization of classification in nursing care is very important. The purpose of research are identifying the differences between the quality of nursing documentation before and after implementation of NANDA-I, NIC, and NOC in a hospital Anthurium PTPN X Jember. The study used a Quasi Experiment Design in the form of One Group Pretest-posttest. Sampling was carried out with total sampling method. Based on Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, showed p value is 0.000, Research shows that there are differences in the level of quality documentation before and after implementation of standardized nursing language using NANDA-I, NIC, and NOC. The quality of the documentation before applying NANDA-I, NIC, and NOC mostly medium category (89.3%). Quality of documentation after implementation of NANDA-I, NIC, and NOC are good category (57.1%). Implementation of NANDA-I, NIC, and NOC can improve the quality of nursing documentation

Abstract

Uncontrolled hypertension can lead to heart disease. Hypertension Care Group (HCG) was formed with the concept of, by and for people with hypertension. Improving the quality of HCG implemented a series of training cadres which is an application of health promotion models. This research was a quasi-experimental pre post test without control group design to member of HCG in Pamijen, Sokaraja. Technique of sampling are total sampling were 30 respondents. Results found chi squere test, p value = 0.001, which means there is a significant increase in the quality of HCG after getting treatment applications health promotion model. Form of treatment in the form of training consisting management training music therapy, hypertension, nursing therapy. Guidance from health centers and district health offices should be improved so that all activities can be run in sustainability

Abstract

The inability to socialize in an environment that is different from the previous life is a significant stressor for the elderly. The aim of this research was to analyze the correlation between social skill training and socialization ability of eldery with loneliness in nursing home. This research used quasi experimental pre-post test with control group design. The research took place at nursing home”A” for intervention group with 27 subjek and nursing home “B” for control group with 28 subjek. The result showed a significant difference of elderly socialzation ability before and after that there was training with social skill training. It is proved by an increase of social ability of eldery in intervention group. This research recommended that social skill training needs to be given in elderly with loneliness

Abstract

Low back pain is the pain suffered in under side of waist and able to spread into the leg, specifically in its backsides and outer parts. One of its causes is musculoskeletal problems caused by not well body activities done. The purpose of this research is for seeing whether the correlation of job posture and position with low back pain suffered by the nurses in Purbalingga Hospital. 32 respondents fulfilling inclusion criteria who are chosen through purposive sampling. The research instrument implements the use of Ovako Working Posture Analysis System (OWAS) for testing job posture and position and laseque test for testing low back pain. Its data processing implements the use of frequency distribution through Chi Square statistic test. From 32 respondents researched, 10 respondents have job posture and position that is possible for causing musculoskeletal injuries and 6 respondents suffering low back pain. That isn’t correlation between job attitude and position with low back pain

Abstract

All forms of belief, feeling, and judgment of individuals believed about him and process of social interaction with their surroundings. It’s influences academic achievement. Students with less self-concept will tend to lose motivation and interest, which in turn impact the academic achievement. This research to determine the relationship between self-concept with academic achievement among students who achieved School of Nursing Diponegoro University. This study used a non-experimental quantitative. A number of sampling are 65 respondents was collected by questioners. The results of chi square test was p-value = 0.001 so there was a correlation between self-concept and academic achievement. It means that if the self-concept is good, the academic achievement is also good. Otherwise, if the self-concept is less, so the academic achievement is also bad. Educational institutions should consider the self-concept of students in the learning process.

Abstract

Hand washing is one of the sanitation actions by washing hand and fingers using flowing water and soap by people to clean and break the germ chain. It is caused by diare. The aim of the research is to know the difference washing hand habit before and after being given health education to children. The method of research is one group pretest posttest design. The pretest is given before conducting the intervention. After getting the intervention, the posttest is conducted. The research conducted on July 2011 in At-Taqwa Cibeber Cimahi with 32 samples by using sampling purposive technique. The t-test result shows that there is difference hand washing habit before and after being given education with p value = 0,0001. It is recommended for education institution to foster the high health value principal such as hand washing before and after eating or after doing activities. Furthermore the principal of health or healthy behavior should be their habit from early age.

Abstract

Empowerment is important in planning, deciding and managing resources in community to improve capacity and the economic, ecological, and social independence. Precede Proceed model used by nursing students in nursing process in Tembalang as pilot project areas. The aims of this study was identified empowerment process, individuals; family; groups with special need and community support to improve quality of life, benefits of empowerment, and obstacles that occur in empowering community. This study used four participants. The data analysis process based on Colaizzi’s. Application of empowerment has two themes: play group, and elderly pos yandu. Individuals, family, groups with special need and community supports to improve quality of life has three themes: goals, objectives, and who is involved. The benefits of empowerment has three themes: useful for students, community, and health center. The obstacles occured in empowerment community has two themes: resources in the community, and implementation of precede proceeds
