Abstract

Beauty clinics are very easy to find in urban areas. The use of shop / shop house as a clinic with limited space should be maximized as treatment room and doctor's office room. Inside the treatment room requires furniture.The purpose of this design is to design a furniture system for concise treatment rooms that can be used on a limited area. By using this furniture system, nurses and patients can move freely within the treatment room.Data collection methods used to design this furniture system is a qualitative method. Qualitative methods used are interviews and observation.From the design done, got the system furniture with a calm and relaxed color. The furniture system also uses Bauhaus design style, so the designed furniture system is not thematic and can be used at any beauty clinic.

Abstract

Taman Bacaan Masyarakat is a government program to increase public reading, especially in Surabaya. Usually this Taman Bacaan Masyarakat is located in Kampung. The room used is the existing space in the village that can also mix with the hall. To improve the government has a program to make the villages in Surabaya became a village of literacy. The purpose of this paper is to design a furniture to support government programs so that it can be used in villages that have Taman Bacaan Masyarakat. The research method used is qualitative method. Through research using qualitative methods, it is known that the contents of the multifunctional bookshelf. From the results of the research, will be designed multifunction bookcase in the form of prototype that combines several functions in one unit. Equipped with promotional media, cost analysis designs to market reaction surveys. Thus, the use of this bookshelf supports the efficiency of space usage.

Abstract

Abstract - Jewelry today is a secondary requirement in the field of fashion, it becomes an opportunity for jewelry archipelago to further develop and promote business. Similarly for Bali, as one of the main tourist destinations in Indonesia, so many domestic and foreign tourists who come to do the holidays. Jewelry itself in Bali is very easy to find but for the existing designs in the community is a traditional design and do not keep up with the times, therefore I take the opportunity in the modern jewelry sector that still uses the symbol or characteristic of Bali itself like frangipani Bali. Flowers used by the Hindu people in prayer. The purpose of this design to lift Balinese frangipani flowers become more iconic and known as inspiration jewelry design that is universal. "Modern Art Nouveau Jewelry" is a prototype that is themed with art nouveau design style that is more modern to produce output that is ready product in launching.

Abstract

Abstract –While in the library, the visitors will spend time to studying, reading books, or doing the tasks. For those who spend time in the library in a long time, certainly would not be comfortable if continue to sit in a chair with a difficult position to change. Therefore will be provided area that can make visitors comfortable and do not feel tired when in the library. The area is a lounge area, where visitors can study, read books, or do the task with a sitting position on the floor. To do these activities, then required some furnitures for the lounge area, table for ‘lesehan’ and a bookshelf. The purpose of this research is to design a set of furniture for the lounge area for visitors of Surabaya University Library as an effort to improve the function of facility in learning and research. In this research, the method used is qualitative method with IDI (In Depth Interview) on some librarians and visitors of Surabaya University Library, and observation done by observing around Surabaya University Library. From the results of the research, it will be designed a set of furniture for the lounge area of the table for ‘lesehan’ which features have a bookstrip and electric socket; as well as bookshelves that can accommodate books that have been borrowed by visitors, with the concept of modern design with a blend of futuristic concepts.

Abstract

Abstract -Library as a vehicle for lifelong learning, informative, research, and recreational to improve the intelligence and empowerment of the nation. Library in an educational world order serves to support the National Education System. The purpose of this paper is to design an entry access to support the improvement of the function of facilities in learning and research in library University of Surabaya. The learning method is qualitative method. Through the research, it is known what need is needed to redesign the library entrance. From the results of the study, will be designed the entrance of the library consisting of a desk monitor, access doors, and decorative cabinets. Which is where the entrance itself using fingerprint technology to facilitate the library of the University of Surabaya more easily obtain the data of library visitors both from within the environment and outside the environment of the University of Surabaya. So that the use of the entrance in the library University of Surabaya more optimal.

Abstract

Abstract - Library as an academic support should have some complete, organize, and fuctional components than can support in learning, research, and community service. Makerspace will be added to Surabaya University library. Makerspace is a place for sharing tools, knowledge, and ideas. Library will not be a silent space anymore, but an open place to expression and develop creativity. The purpose of this research is to design makerspace table in Surabaya University for improving the facilities by using qualitative method through a book or internet and quantitative method by interview. The result of this research is a makerspace table with modern-futurictic concept and have many features to simplify the user, such a lighting, cutting mat, dustbin, stationery space, book shelves.

Abstract

A container for a university to have the purpose of providing services to students of University of Surabaya in addition to boost the productivity of the workers themselves. The Sirkulasi desk is one of the parts in the library on the table itself is doing a lot of important activities such as collecting out the books borrowed by students. However, the library Sirkulasi table that is currently lacking needs with the understanding of the user itself. Given the library of the University of Surabaya has been since 1995 where the world increasingly changed as well as lifestyle pemustaka. Formerly the internet is no longer developing today that can be accessed almost anywhere. With the current internet, look at the library as it began to be forgotten. How to change the design becomes an important thing that needs to be done for the function. Knowing the modern lifestyle continues to grow rapidly, conducted various observations and interviews to find out the design concept that will be implemented on the private table that will be redesigned to be realized into a prototype to boost something that is in the processThe purpose of this research is to design the circulation table for workers and students of University of Surabaya Library as an effort to improve the performance and productivity of workers and students. In research on this design method used is qualitative method that is IDI on some putskawan and some student which is in Library of Universtas Surabaya, And Observation which done by observing Activity Study done at circulation table. From the results of research that will be designed table of circulation in the area of the Library to meingkatakan Productivity of the workers own advantages that is, the new form with the concept of Futursitik, but now it has a larger workplace and equipment arranged that simplify the workmanship.

Abstract

Abstract-The limitation of land and the high demand for land cause Surabaya’s people stay in narrow house. So there is a dual function on the room in that house, like living room which is also used as afamily room. So that, children often play in the living room and make the parents overwhelmed when the guest is coming. So that, this furniture is designed, that is coffee table as kids toys storage for compact house. This research done by in depth interview and observation method which is done on young family that live in small house in Surabaya as a case study this research. The designed product is guest table (coffee table) that also used as toys storage that raised the scandinavian design theme, where the design is focus on the function without rule out the aesthetic value of the product. This guest table (coffee table) is expected suitable with any livingroom, so this coffee table used neutral color, which is white and brown / cream. This coffee table have a shape that suitable for narrow house, where this product is not too takes place or space. Then with this product is expected can help answering the problems people that live in small house in Surabaya, where the limited space in house is no longer an obstacle to having a neat and beautiful house.

Abstract

Genetic diseases or genetic disorders are a condition caused by abnormalities by one or more genes that cause a clinical phenotype condition or in simpler language is a deviation from the general nature or nature of the average human being, and is a disease that arises due to malfunctioning factors - genetic factors that regulate the structure and physiological functions of the human body. In this study, the potential lives of people with genetic disorders will be used as a philosophy in batik with new motives. The purpose of this study is to provide education containing a moral message about the potential life of people with genetic disorders to the wider community in a new way, namely beredukasi through batik and then be applied to life style products. The method used in this report is qualitative method in the form of interview result, and quantitative method in the form of series of experimental process. From the experiments conducted is to provide alternatives to the molecular form stilasi process to parties who know about biology. Taking the concept of molecular form due to genetic disorder the factor is its molecules, such as DNA, proteins and chromosomes. Then choose the alternative form of stylation to be the design process isen and batik. On Selection of batik products to conduct interviews to owners of SMEs Batik to get advice. And finally the selected product is shoes. Shoes are designed in the form of "plan toe derby" type.

Abstract

Abstrak - Strategi pengelolaan risiko memiliki peranan yang penting bagi badan usaha dalam menghadapi persaingan di industri tempat badan usaha tersebut beroperasi. Ketika badan usaha menghadapi suatu risiko yang berdampak signifikan pada pencapaian visinya, maka diperlukan strategi pengelolaan risiko yang tepat agar setiap elemen di dalamnya memiliki pemahaman serta kemampuan yang memadai dalam menilai risiko tersebut dan menjalankan strategi tersebut untuk meminimalisir dampak dari risiko yang muncul. Setiap manusia memiliki perbedaan dalam menentukan strategi pengelolaan untuk mengelola risiko yang muncul dalam lingkup wewenangnya. Perbedaan tersebut disebabkan karena adanya perbedaan gender di dalamnya. Laki-laki yang cenderung identik dengan kaum maskulin cenderung lebih berani dan suka mengambil keputusan yang berisiko, jika dibandingkan dengan perempuan yang cenderung identik dengan kaum feminin. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peranan gender dalam mempengaruhi strategi pengelolaan risiko yang digunakan oleh ketua jurusan Akuntansi dan Manajemen pada Universitas “X”. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan tujuan penelitian yaitu descriptive research. Manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah basic research. Wawancara dan observasi dilakukan untuk meningkatkan akurasi data dalam penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah gender berperan terhadap perbedaan strategi pengelolaan yang dipilih ketua jurusan dalam menghadapi risiko yang muncul dalam lingkup wewenangnya. Kata kunci: Strategi pengelolaan risiko, Manajemen risiko, Gender Abstract - Risk strategy have an important role to enterprises in the face of competition in the industry in which the entity operates. When enterprises face a risk that could have a significant impact on the achievement of its vision, it is necessary that appropriate risk strategy so that every element in it has an adequate understanding and ability to assess risks and execute the strategy for limiting the impact of emerging risks. Every human being has a difference in determining risk strategy to manage the risks that arise within the scope of its authority. The difference is caused by the differences of gender in it. Men who tend to be synonymous with masculine tend to favor risky decision, when compared with women who tend to be synonymous with the feminine. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the extent the role of gender in influencing the risk strategy used by the head of the department of Accounting and Management at the University "X". This study use qualitative approach with the purpose of research is descriptive research. The benefits of this research is basic research. Interviews and observation performed to improve the accuracy of the data in this study. Results from this study are gender evidently contribute to differences in risk strategy selected by head of the department in the face of emerging risks within the scope of its authority.
