This paper describes about the Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) for the elimination of the current harmonics in the line side. The Active Power Filter is based on the Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) topology. The Synchronous Reference Frame (SRF) theory based control strategy is utilized for SAPF. The SAPF has the better performance for compensation of harmonics. The simulation of shunt active power filter is performed in MATLAB/Simulink. The SAPF is implemented in hardware protptype with ATMEGA 8 Microcontroller. The Simulation and Hardware result shows that the current harmonics are eliminated in the system.

Indonesia is one of the countries in this world that has the most outstanding fishery potential. There are more than 3000 fish species under Indonesia's sea, yet the people are still not able to relish them completely. Illegal fishing by foreign ships in Indonesia's territorial sea is one of the reasons why this happens. In order to minimize this kind of loss, those ships should be detected automatically by implementing image processing and artificial intelligence techniques. The study proposed techniques for automatic detection of ships at sea on digital images. These techniques are global image thresholding and artificial neural network backpropagation. The result of this research is proposed of technique able to detect ship with 85% accuracy level. This method may be improved by adding more training data varieties.

Interest of Micro-Electromechanical System (MEMS) antennas in Terahertz (THz) applications has rapidly expanded in recent years due to the advent of accurate Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. The very special needs of newly proposed MEMS antennas, especially with a wide bandwidth range, require advanced optimization procedures of enhancing already established designs. This paper provides a compact design of a wideband MEMS helix antenna optimized using tree-dimensional High Frequency Structure Simulator (3D-HFSS) based on Quasi-Newton (Q-N) and Sequential Non Linear Programming (SNLP) techniques to modify the antenna structure with a high accuracy for the selective band of frequencies by training the samples and minimizing the error from Finite Element Method- (FEM) based simulation tool. The helix antenna is presented using MEMS technology and shows high performance demonstrated by very low return losses of less than -20 to -65 dB for a wide range of frequencies from 2.5 to 5 THz. High antenna geometry precision and efficient performance are finally achieved by rectifying and synthesizing various tunable parameters embedded in silicon substrate including both helix form and feeding line parameters.

The secret sharing is a method to protect confidentiality and integrity of the secret messages by distributing the message shares into several recipients. The secret message could not be revealed unless the recipients exchange and collect shares to reconstruct the actual message. Even though the attacker obtain shares shadow during the share exchange, it would be impossible for the attacker to understand the correct share. There are few algorithms have been developed for secret sharing, e.g. secret splitting, Asmuth-Bloom secret sharing protocol, visual cryptography, etc. There is an unanswered question in this research about which method provides best level of security and efficiency in securing message. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of three methods, i.e. secret splitting, secret sharing, and recursive threshold visual cryptography for handwritten image security in terms of execution time and mean squared error (MSE) simulation. Simulation results show the secret splitting algorithm produces the shortest time of execution. On the other hand, the MSE simulation result that the three methods can reconstruct the original image very well.

The purpose of this research is to control, monitoring, and broadcast video, audio, text with digital signage system based on cloud and IPTV. It also provides multi content on one screen display included YouTube channel and RSS feed. Network connection transfer using internet protocol, the component of cloud-based and IPTV included with a content management system and a broadcast management system. Companies provide digital signage services are still using one of the ads in large size, this can alleviate the cost of advertising using digital signage. Therefore, the result is a designed from a display of how the content can be variatif when displayed on a digital signage as well through cloud-based and IPTV.

This paper proposes a novel compact band-stop filter based on Rectangular SRR unit cell. The BSF structure consists of modified microstrip line connected to 50 Ω feed line on both sides and Rectangular-SRR which has been added and located in the center of the proposed design. The R-SRR dimensions are chosen and optimized in order to achieve a resonant frequency in the undesired band. This filter is designed, simulated and optimized using two electromagnetic solvers. The circuit performances have been investigated and found to have an excellent BSF characterized by high power rejection level in the stop-band, low insertion loss in the both pass-bands and compact size. The experimental results illustrate that the proposed BSF achieves a wide fractional bandwidth of 72 % at 2.2GHz.

This study is investigating about marine currents provided electrical energy through the numerical model. The objective of this study is to know the power available distributions in the Manado Bay, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The Manado Bay was width 2200 m with 79 m of depth. In computation, we are made grids in x and y horizontal were 7 m respectively, also for z vertical of four layers. The results shown that the power available distributions in the Manado Bay at 0.1 Sv were 0.00-20.00 kW/m2 when low tide currents and when high tide currents were 0.00-105 kW/m2. The values will enable for marine currents power plant in the Manado Bay to future.

The adoption of electronic voting has been done in various countries related to cost and time reduction operationally. On the other hand, recent publication has been informed several issues occurred such as technicality, reliability, security and privacy due to the compromised system were used. In small scale, there are certain group of people who want to exploit the vulnerabilities for their own benefit in the election, while in the greater scale, it can reduce public confidence to entrust the adoption of e-voting system to augment participation rate, to improve the quality of voting and to aid the political right effectively. This paper aims to investigate the characteristic of people demanding the legislative to address the criteria and indicator for effective implementation in electronic voting. By understanding the perception of voters in viewing current electoral regulation are essential to provide some ideas and opinions for better enhancement, either through recommendation and drafting related legislation to cater the needs.

The present paper introduces a novel speaker modeling technique for text-independent speaker identification using probabilistic self-organizing maps (PbSOMs). The basic motivation behind the introduced technique was to combine the self-organizing quality of the self-organizing maps and generative power of Gaussian mixture models. Experimental results show that the introduced modeling technique using probabilistic self-organizing maps significantly outperforms the traditional technique using the classical GMMs and the EM algorithm or its deterministic variant. More precisely, a relative accuracy improvement of roughly 39% has been gained, as well as, a much less sensitivity to the model-parameters initialization has been exhibited by using the introduced speaker modeling technique using probabilistic self-organizing maps.

The purpose research is to develop the decision model of Multi-Criteria Group Decision Making (MCGDM) into Interval Value Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Group Decision Making (IV-FMCGDM), while the specific purpose is to construct decision-making model of Adaptive Interval Value Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AIV- FAHP) uses Triangular Fuzzy Number (TFN) and group decision aggregation functions using Interval Value Geometric Means Aggregation (IV-GMA). The novelty research is to study the concept of group decision making by improving the middle point on the Interval Value Triangular Fuzzy Number (IV TFN). It provides more accurate modeling, and better rating performance, and more effective linguistic representation. This research produced a new decision-making model and algorithm based on AIV-FAHP used to measure the quality of e-learning.
