Abstract

This study begins from the problem of low skills learning ability to compose Elementary literature in PGSD departement of Bung Hatta University. It can be seen from the results of  students’ mid semester test, observation, and interviews with faculty to compose literature Skills in elementary course. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of an active learning model type of card sort to compose skills to elementary schools student in PGSD Department and to know the results of learning skills to compose an Elementary course-students after being taught by active learning model type of card sort. This type of research was a Quasi Experimental study. The populations were all students in PGSD department Academic Year 2015/2016.The Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires of learning motivation and learning skills tests to compose Elementary literature in PGSD. The Data analysis techniques used in this study were  t-test and ANOVA. Based on the findings, we concluded that first learning skills to compose elementary literature students who use active learning model type of card sort was higher than in convenetional than students who used conventional learning either seen as a whole or from high and low learning motivation. Second, there was no interaction between the learning motivation to learn the skills of learning to compose Elementary literature of PGSD students. It means that active learning model type of card sort gave good effect on learning skilss to compose Elementary literature of PGSD students.

Abstract

 This study aims to find out the image of the values of local wisdom and cultural clash of Indonesian people who bring the mission of nationalism in the country outside, in the novel Edensor by Andrea Hirata. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive with content analysis technique. Content analysis technique means textually searching for words, sentences, or ideas related to the research topic to then the data obtained are presented, verified, and drawn conclusions. The results obtained from this study indicate that the aspects of local culture appear more prominent or more dominant than other aspects, followed by aspects of religion, custom, and social. The dominant aspect of local culture is that of the characters in the novel because the clearly described figures still have an awareness to defend their culture despite the onslaught of Western cultures. If this is analogous to the representation of the people of Indonesia, then this awareness that carried Edensor. The success of the characters won the bets visiting as many countries as possible to foster self-confidence and pride as the nation of Indonesia. The realization that even though Indonesia is still a moratorium, still lagging behind in science and technology, has grown awareness to dare to advance and forge itself in global competition. It is possible for this nation to change for the better, not only in the mastery of science, but also in the improvement of attitudes in maintaining local wisdom, even if it was abroad.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan jenis materi ajar cerpen dalam buku siswa Bahasa Indonesia SMA, dan (2) mendeskripsikan relevansi jenis materi  ajar tersebut dengan kompetensi Kurikulum 2013. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, frase, kalimat, dan paragraf yang terdapat dalam buku Siswa dan kompetensi dalam Kurikulum 2013. Sumber data  berupa buku siswa Bahasa Indonesia,  Ekspresi Diri dan Akademik kelas X,XI, dan XII yang diterbitkan oleh Kemendikbud 2014 dan  KI – KD Bahasa Indonesia  SMA Kurikulum 2013. Data-data tersebut dikumpulkan dengan teknik simak dan catat.  Teknik keabsahan data digunakan  trianggulasi teori. Teknik analisisnya adalah pembacaan semiotik dan komparatif.Hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut. (1) Jenis materi ajar cerpen dalam buku siswa Bahasa Indonesia meliputi materi ajar aspek kognitif yang terdiri fakta, konsep, prinsip, dan prosedur, materi ajar aspek afektif, dan materi ajar aspek psikomotor. Materi ajar fakta berupa teks cerpen, pertanyaan faktual isi cerpen, dan mengidentifikasi kosa kata dan kalimat dalam cerpen. Materi ajar konsep berupa pengertian, ciri-ciri, dan struktur cerpen, unsur  kebahasaan, latar belakang sosio pengarang, keterkaitan isi cerpen dengan kenyataan, dan peristiwa monologis dan dialogis. Materi ajar prinsip berupa struktur cerpen. Materi ajar prosedur yaitu proses kreatif penulisan dan langkah-langkah menulis cerpen. Jenis materi ajar aspek afektif berupa pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang berkaitan dengan sikap, tanggapan, pendapat, dan harapan setelah membaca atau sebelum menulis cerpen. Adapun materi ajar psikhomotor berupa tugas membangun, mengabstraksi, mengonversi,  memproduksi,  dan menyunting teks cerpen. (2) Semua materi ajar itu relevan dengan kompetensi Kurikulum 2013. Materi ajar aspek kognitif sesuai dengan KD pada KI-3 yaitu kompetensi  pengetahuan. Materi ajar aspek afektif sesuai dengan KD pada KI-2 yaitu aspek sosial. Adapun materi ajar pada aspek psikhomotor relevan dengan KD pada KI 4 yaitu kompetensi keterampilan.

Abstract

This research has purpose to get description about use of majas in poetry of student of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Koto XI Tarusan. This research is type of qualitative research using content analysis method. The data in this study is a collection of poems written by students of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Koto XI Tarusan, while the focus of research is the utilization of the majas contained in the poem. Data collection is done by inventorying all poems written by students. Furthermore, the data were analyzed according to the content analysis method and studied based on the theory of the masters used. Based on the results of the discussion can be concluded that the majas used in the students poetry among them; (1) Parable, (2) hyperbole, (3) repetition, (4) personification, (5) metaphors, (6) ellipsis, and (7) allegory. Majus found in total amounted to 73 majas. For the dominant masters used in student poems the personification majas, amounting to 25 types of usage of 73 types of the found masters.

Abstract

Tindak tutur ekspresif adalah tindak tutur yang dimaksudkan penuturnya agar ujarannya diartikan sebagai evaluasi tentang hal yang disebutkan di dalam tuturan itu. Tuturan-tuturan memuji, mengucapkan terima kasih, mengkritik, mengeluh, menyalahkan, mengucapkan selamat, menyanjung, termasuk ke dalam jenis tindak tutur ekspresif. Tuturan tersebut dapat diekspresikan melalui media lisan dan media tulis. Ada juga yang berupa iklan seperti yang tertulis pada alat-alat transportasi di antaranya adalah pada bak truk.

Abstract

Writing skills is activities of language serves to produce  written language. Writing can improve intelligence, develop initiative, creativity,, stimulate the willingness and ability to gather information. Students skills in short stories writing activities is still lacking. This things because teachers use less attractive media. Thus, this study uses audio media to increase students interest in writing. This study aimed to describe the shost story intrinsic elements and the use of capital letters in Creative Short Story Writing Skills Using Media Audio Class XII SMAN I Payakumbuh District.This research is a quantitative research using descriptive method. The study population class XII students totaling 217 consists of 8 classes. Writer to perform sampling with random random sampling techniques. The instrument of this study is to test performance. Data analysis  in the study: to check the results to write short stories, analyze the data and provide a score based on indicators, and put forward the test results to the classification skills by using a scale of 10.Results showed that  average value of 90.8 are in the range of 86-95% with good qualification. Creative writing skills are evaluated from two short stories specified indicators are: (1) short story creative writing skills in terms of the intrinsic elements of the short story is the 100 that are in the range of 96-100% with impeccable qualifications; (2) The short story creative writing skills in terms of capitalization was 80.8% are in the 76-85 range with good qualifications. Thus, we can conclude the students are already capable in writing short stories as well as the use of capital letters in writing.

Abstract

Salah satu sarana untuk mempermudah pemahaman terhadap wacana adalah hubungan koherensi dan kohesi antarkalimat atau antarparagraf. Hubungan kohesi dan koherensi dibangun melalui aspek mikrostruktural dan makrostruktural. Oleh karena itu, untuk memahami wacana sastra novel Para Priyayi karya Umar Kayam secara utuh dan menyeluruh perlu dilakukan analisis mikrostruktural dan makrostruktural. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Para Priyayi karya Umar Kayam, sedangkan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kalimat-kalimat yang mengandung kohesi leksikal, kohesi gramatikal, konteks, dan inferensi. Metode pengumpulan datanya menggunakan metode observasi dan batat, sedangkan metode analisis data menggunakan metode kontekstual dan deskriptif.Aspek gramatikal sebagai pendukung aspek mikrostruktural yang digunakan meliputi referensi, substitusi, elipsis, dan konjungsi, sedangkan aspek leksikal yang mendukung meliputi repetisi, antonimi, sinonimi, hiponimi, dan kolokasi. Aspek leksikal yang berbentuk ekuivalensi tidak ditemukan. Pendukung aspek makrostruktural yang digunakan dalam novel Para Priyayi meliputi konteks dan inferensi. Melalui pemahaman konteks situasi dapat diketahui bahwa novel ini menceritakan kehidupan para priyayi Jawa pada masa penjajahan Belanda, penjajahan Jepang, dan pada waktu terjadinya peristiwa Gestapu. Melalui konteks budaya dapat diketahui bahwa novel ini menceritakan kehidupan priyayi Jawa dan dalam penulisannya dipengaruhi budaya Jawa sehingga memberikan kekhasan atas novel Para Priyayi ini. Melalui konteks pemakaian bahasa dapat dipahami inferensinya; 1) seorang priyayi harus memihak masyarakat kecil, 2) semua orang mempunyai hak menjadi seorang priyayi (priyayi bukan monopoli orang darah biru), 3)Sudarsono dan Lantip merupakan satu contoh orang di luar darah biru dapat menjadi seorang priyayi.

Abstract

This article contains a discussion on the utilization of one of the archipelago text as a material for critical literacy review. Si Palalok is one of the texts of ancient texts originating from West Sumatra in Malay Arabic versions which have also been in the Latin edition. The manuscript of the story in this article is in the Arabic-Malay version found in the Aditiawarman Museum of Padang City in a still-complete physical condition, but there is a text with a lack of clarity. Much of the information contained in the texts of Si Palaloks story is still found in the reality of the people of life so that the younger generation can learn worthy values to use. The method used for text review is using content analysis techniques. The focus of the analysis of the text of the text can be obtained by using the critic literacy method. Through critical literation meth-ods, the reader is not only expected to read or understand the text but also to criticize the messages and the values of life contained therein.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini (a) penyajian stiker vulgar dan (b) teknik pengkreasian stiker vulgar sebagai tindakan bermoral. Pengkreasian stiker vulgar menjadi stiker bijak yang bermuatan mendidik menjadi tanggung jawab moral si penulis stiker, guru di sekolah, dan masyarakat. Hal ini sebagai wujud tindakan bermoral yang tidak berpotensi pembiaran tetapi berpotensi penanganan yang nyata terhadap kondisi psikososial anak didik di masyarakat. Stiker digunakan anak didik SMA dan dipasang/ditempel di helm dan sepeda motor. Penelitian ini penelitian kualitatif. Kualitatif deskriptif jenis data berupa kata-kata, frasa, kalimat yang terdapat dalam stiker. Peneliti pengkreasian stiker vulgar dengan melaksanakan olah makna, baik dari aspek semantis maupuan pragmatis. Objek penelitan ini berupa kata atau ungkapan berkonotasi negatif atau vulgar yang digunakan anak didi SMA Muhammadiyah di Surakarta. Data primer berupa satuan lingual stiker vulgar dan data sekunder hasil wawancaraData Teknik observasi di SMA Muhammadiyah se-Surakarta dan wawancara dengan anak didik, kepala sekolah, wakasek bidang kesiswaan, guru bimbingan konseling, petugas parkir, dan masyarakat. Teknik dokumentasi berupa penggalian stiker yang terjual ke anak didik SMA. Keabsahan data kualitatif menggunakan teknik triangulasi yaitu triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis menggunakan metode padan. Metode padan yang pragmatis dengan alat penentu referen yaitu berupa mitra wicara. Selain metode tersebut dignakan teknik Focus Group Descoussin (FGD). Hasil penelitian stiker yang digunakan berupa stiker tidak vulgar dan stiker vulgar. Stiker vulgar digunakan anak didi SMA Muhammadiyah se-Surakarta berpotensi mempengaruhi moral anak didik. Stiker vulgar tersebut dapat dikreasikan menjadi stiker bijak. Stiker bijak inilah yang disosialisasikan sehingga menjadi tandingan stiker vulgar. Kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru, guru bimbingan konseling, dan masyarakat menjadi pihak yang terlibat dalam penyosialisasian stiker bijak (hasil pengkreasian stiker vulgar) ini.

Abstract

This research were aims to describe the things as follows. First, the ability to write a short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by using cooperative approach Numbered Head Together type. Second, the ability to write short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by using cooperative approach Think Pair Share type. Third, the difference in ability to write short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by cooperative approach Numbered Head Together and Think Pair Share type. This research was quantitative with descriptive method of quasi experimental research design. Sampling was done by using simple random sampling technique. In this research, class VII.3 was assigned as experiment class I which amounted to 32 students and VII.5 as experiment class II which amounted to 30 students. Data collected by using performance test writing short story text. The results of this study are as follows. First, the ability to write a short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by using cooperative approach Numbered Head Together type was 89,58. Second, the ability to write short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by using cooperative approach Think Pair Share type was 81,48. Third, there was a significant difference in ability to write short story text of students in class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by cooperative approach Numbered Head Together and Think Pair Share type.
