The article published scientific literature contains research results, conceptually as well as reviews of books in the field of economic education, accounting education, and educational administration offices. Therefore, all articles published by the journal have unique DOI number. Abstract

This present study is aimed to investigate the influence of economics literacy on the students’ consumption behavior through local cultural values and promotions. The mediation used is based on the theories, the empirical studies and the previous studies.Quantitative approach is used in this study. The population is the Pamekasan Senior High Schools students (Class XI IPS, academic year 2012/2013). Proportional random sampling is conducted to take the samples in the population. The data is collected by using the questionnaire and test. Path analysis is used to analyze the data.The findings show that (1) the economic literacy level influences directly and significantly on the local cultural values, (2) the economic literacy level influences directly, negatively and significantly on the promotion, (3) the economic literacy level influences directly, negatively and significantly on the consumption behavior, (4) the local cultural values influence directly, positively and significantly on the consumption behavior, (5) the promotion influences directly, positively and significantly on the consumption behavior, (6) the economic literacy level influences indirectly and significantly on the consumption behavior through the local cultural values, and (7) the economic literacy level influences indirectly and significantly on the consumption behavior through promotion.

Abstract

The purposes of the study are to determine and to describe the family economy and the implementation of the nine-year compulsory education program at Kajenengan village, Bojong subdistrict, Tegal district in 2014. It was a qualitative descriptive study because it only described the analysis results of the research data and did not use the statistics procedure. The population of the study was 1011 family leaders at Kajenengan village. It used purposive sampling technique to get 252 family leaders or about 25% of the population as the samples. Data were collected by observation, interviews and documentation. Then, data were analyzed by data reduction, data display, and concluding. The results of the study were: (1) the obstacles of the social and economy of the family were; a) the income source:  47.20%  of Kajenengan villagers  were farm laborers, b) the income:  the income range per day of 28.57%  of the samples was  IDR 21,000 up to IDR 30,000, c) the number of family members: 33.73% of Kajenengan families had 5-6 family members in their nuclear family, d) the use of income: only 32.80% of Kajenengan villagers who prioritized the education, especially on nine-years compulsory education program.  (2) There were only 8.73% of the samples who implemented nine-year compulsory education program; moreover; 47.62% family leaders said that not all family members followed the nine-year compulsory education and there was 43.65% of the samples who did not follow the nine-year compulsory education.

Abstract

The objective of the study is to describe the factors which influence the dehumanization on the teaching learning process at 8th grade students in MTs. Al-Azhar Tuwel. The population of this study were 158 students which were all 8th graders in MTs. Al-Azhar Tuwel in the academic year of 2014/2015. It used proportional cluster random sampling for 25%, or there were 40 students as the samples. The data were collected by documentation, observation and questionnaire with Guttmant scale. Then, the data were classified by two techniques; quantitative and qualitative data which influence the learning of Social Science for getting the conclusion more easily.  Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that dehumanization on the teaching and learning process in MTs. Al-Azhar Tuwel was high enough. The influence of dehumanization factors on the teaching and learning process were teaching method for 77.9%, curriculum factor for 85%, teacher-student relationship for 63.7%, student-teacher relationship for 67.5%, school discipline for 75.4%, homework for 65.4%, school time for 63.7%, learning equipment for 70.8%, over-standard lesson for 81% and building condition for 80%. The most dominant factor which influenced the dehumanization of teaching and learning process is curriculum for 85%. Therefore; teachers need to improve their competences and capabilities to create the more humanist teaching learning process which is appropriate to the goals of education. For achieving the goals, it is recommended for the schools administrators to improve the facilities and infrastructure for getting the more conducive teaching learning process with the representative space and facilities.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to identify the effect of family environment and the internet usage as learning source simultanly or partially on economics learning motivation. Population of SMA Negeri 5 Semarang students (IIS/Social Program) are 192, 66 students are samples. Data collecting method uses questionnaire. Data analyzing uses descriptive and double equal regression analyzing. Descriptive analyzing percentage: high learning motivation (62%), good family environment (61%), good internet usage as learning source (67%). The result of this research is family environment and the internet usage as learning source simultanly give positive effect and significant to economics learning motivation (39,8%). Partially, family environment give positive effect and significant to economics learning motivation (17,2%), the internet usage as learning source give positive effect and significant to economics learning motivation (8,6%). The conclusion is family environment and the internet usage as learning usage give positive effect and significant to economics learning motivation at SMA Negeri 5 Semarang simultanly and partially. As suggestion, family environment should keep the good condition, the internet usage as learning media should be more optimal, family hopefully always keep condusive, calm, comfortable and enjoyable condition, students should increase the intensity of accessing economics information through the internet.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe and analyze the strategy of production, marketing, human resources (labor) and capital. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires and triangulation. The technique of sampling was done deliberately (purposive sampling). The results of this research showed that the strategy of production by means of the best raw materials came from the area of Kebumen through raw material suppliers, the addition of flour to address scarce raw materials, traditional means of production and use of appropriate technology, production place are located near the house of the manufacturer, the use of the workforce that has the skills, packaging innovation products and adding product type. Marketing strategies by way of increased order coupled with the trademark shows as well as various flavors of innovation development, adjustment of the selling price with the price of raw materials production, the cooperation of manufacturers and suppliers in the distribution of lanting, promotional activities by means of cooperation with the agency and related service trade off products online. The strategy of human resources with the formation groups of industry in the village of lemahduwur (but not running smoothly), follow and avail the opportunity of education and training from the government, division of labor, the addition of a number of labor, granting additional wages for labor remains. Strategy capital  with the initial capital came from his capital  own and profit as capital accumulation, additional capital when many party and by feast day; increased access to capital, financial administration and against accounting in a simple and routine. The advice given is the government and manufacturers improve HR, technology development, marketing and capital. Manufacturer improves collaboration with suppliers of raw materials, maintaining the typical features and making a trademark.The Government and manufacturers more cooperation and mutual exchange of information more closely and thoroughly in education and training.

Abstract

The teacher professionalism reflects the teachers ability and performance in carrying out the duties to achieve education goals. In fact, there are many factors which influence the teacher professionalism. The objective of the study is to analyze the influence o       f the rincipal`s managerial competence, work motivation, and those  both variables toward teacher professionalism. It was a non-experimental quantitative approach. The population of the study was 172 teachers at Business and Management Vocational High Schools at Tegal city. The samples were taken by Krejcei table to get 114 teachers as the samples. Data were collected by questionnaire.  The results of the research showed that the principal’s managerial competence was good and significant, the influence of work motivation toward teacher professionalism was in good and significant category. Then, the influence of those both variables toward teacher professionalism was up to 47.8%. The regression analysis showed that: there was a positive and significant influence of the principal’s managerial competence toward teacher professionalism for 17.7%, work motivation gave positive and significant influence on teacher professionalism with the coefficient of determination was 46.8%. Furthermore; the results of multiple regression analysis showed that the influence of both variables simultaneously influenced teacher professionalism with the coefficient of determination was 47.8%.

Abstract

The attributes of library services need to be analyzed in order to satisfy the students needs. The objective of this study were (1) to know the factors that determine Economics Education’s student satisfaction and, (2) to know the most dominant factor in determining their satisfaction of the library‘s services in Economics Faculty, Semarang State University.The data were collected by questionnaire, documentation and interview. Then the data were analyzed by factor analysis and descriptive percentage. The result ofthe factor analysis showed that the 28 analyzed variables were reduced to 23 variables. They were grouped into 8 new factors that determined student satisfaction was 62.668%. Meanwhile, 37.332% was influenced by other factors that are not defined in this model. (1) The convenience and the main products factor was17.971%, (2) the interaction factor was 8.878%, (3) the cleanliness factor was 7.830%, (4) the neatness factor was 6.731%, (5) the means of support factor was 6.348%, (6) the technical performance factor was 5.597%, (7) the building area factor was 4.918% and (8) the complementary product factor was 4.396%.

Abstract

The research aims to test the influence teaching career motivation, career self-efficacy and social economic status of academic achievement through its interest in becoming a teacher. The populations of this study were all students of Economic Education of first semester the academic year 2012/2013 which still in the career choice process and content. Proportional random samples technique was used in this study. The collecting data used the question form and documentation, while for analyzing the data using path analysis.Research findings show that teaching career motivation, career self-efficacy and social economic status has a positive and significant influence to the academic achievement through its interest in becoming a teacher. Based on this research finding, it can be suggested that (1) an attempt to cultivate interest of being a teacher and academic achievement can be conducted by increasing career motivation, career self-efficacy, and parents support, (2) the process of admission or the preparation of teachers need to pay attention to such as talent, psychological aspects interest, motivation, and career self-efficacy to get the input quality, (3) provide learning facilities for poor family student who are facing trouble for higher study.
