Abstract

The problem of this experiment is “How to develop teaching learning media with pictorialcomic on human nerve system to be applied in teaching learning process using PQ4Rstrategy to increase students’ learning result, activity and interest?” one of the purposethis experiment is to develop teaching learning media pictorial comic on human nervesystem material to be applied using valid, effective and practical PQ4R strategy. Thisdeveloping experiment was RD. The source of the data involved three biology teachers,six students of small class and forty students of big class. The validity involved twoexperts; material experts and media experts. The result of the experiment showed thatteaching learning media with pictorial comic on human nerve system material could increaselearning result mastering of students. It could be seen from gaining medium score,increasing of students’ activity, increasing of students’ interest and achieving positive responsefrom students and teacher.Keywords :teaching learning comics, human nerve system, PQ4R strategy, learning result,teaching learning media

Abstract

The tradition of alms in the village of Wonokerto sea Regency Pekalongan is a form ofcultural offerings to the sea conducted in Sura society. Over time the development ofform and function of marine alms to experience growth and change because of the effectsocio cultural changes in society. The purpose of marine research charity in Wonokertodone to clarify and describe the changes in the form of alms the sea, the sea change incharity functions related to social life and the role of culture in the educational charity forthe people of the sea. The results and discussion show that the tradition of the sea donationform and function changes caused by social change Wonokerto culture. Changes includethe time and place of execution, and the aspects of offering support. As for changesin the functions of the ritual evolved into a spiritual function, the function of entertainment,communication function, the function of cultural preservation, educational functionsand economic functions. Changes in form and function of marine charity has a rolein education for the community values education that is noble race, education, spirituality,education, work ethos, culture and education conservation of natural environments.Changes in form and function of marine charity tradition influenced by changes in socialculture, including changes to the system of science,technology,and economic systems.Keywords: form, function, community education,change

Abstract

The focus of this research is the management of vocational education techniques describedin the problem of engine research: planning, implementation and evaluation ofvocational education of Mechanical Engineering. The method used is a qualitative approachwith case studies of type procedures: (1) pre-field, (2) ekprolasi focus, then (3)data analysis. Techniques to obtain data by: (1) interviews, (2) observation, and (3) studythe document. Data analysis with inductive thinking techniques with the procedure: (1)data reduction, (2) data display, then (3) draw conclusions and verification. Results of research:(1) Planning is carried out through: the identification of needs through to the informationsearch and internet industry, the formulation of plans through workshops bypresenting representatives from business and industry, establishing a plan with the boardattended the plenary meeting of teachers, parents, learners and the school committee, andevaluation plan by Evabang, (2) exercising their education by organizing, coordinationand cooperation with business and industry to implement the learning in the form of thetheory by inserting character education, industry practices and work practices, and (3)Evaluation, including: evaluation external of the BAN-S/M and ISO, an internal evaluationconsists of: the performance evaluation of teachers by the school principal, teacherevaluation of learning by training the eye, prakerin evaluation by the industry, competencytest by the department manager, Middle Semester Deuteronomy, Deuteronomy End ofSemester, Examination Theory and practice with the committees, and labor recruitmenttest by the manager of BKK and industry recruiters.Keywords: vocational education, engineering mechanical

Abstract

Inserting global warming material in the Geography curriculum subjects and the applicationof suitable learning mode is the right step to provide an understanding of globalwarming and education to the students to take an active role in preventing it as well ashaving concern for the creation of a green environment, having an awareness of environmentalsustainability and sustainable development. This study is in the form of Researchand Development. It is preceded by the development of the learning instructionsof Geography’s integration of global warming with Problem Based Learning’s approachand tested on control and experimental classes. Data is taken with the observation, questionnairesand tests. The Methods of data analysis is using percentage of score descriptions.Problem-solving capabilities are analyzed parametrically by using T test. Thi researchhas given results to the global warming learning material which consist of syllabuswith 35.6 average score with very good criteria, Lesson Plan with 36 average scorewith very good score, Student book with 33.6 average score with very good criteria, studentworksheet with 35 score with very good criteria so that the teaching and learninginstructions is very good to teach global warming materials. Abstract

The basic consideration of this research is that the improvement of qualified humanresources needs a strong commitment in focusing and developing creativity whichactually everyone has it in the world. Chemistry assessment of solubility and solubilityproduct (Ksp) is difficult comprehended, because of comprehension student onmemorizing concept, and apply direct concept learned, so that expected its creativity alsowill expand. This research is kind of developing research, which develops learninginstruments visioned by SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society). Themain purpose of this research is result chemistry learning instruments on solubility andsolubility product (Ksp) visioned by SETS, included: syllabus, lesson plan, module,evaluation instruments, CD of learning and to know the impact of creativity in learningresearch. The subject for this research is student of grade X.1 IPA. To understand theimprovement of creativity and learning outcome of students, the writer makesobservation and testing student understanding on the concept of solubility and solubilityproduct (Ksp). The responds from the subject on the learning process was obtained fromthe feedback of questionaire. Teachers have tought the students by implementing thelearning package. Result of students creativity observed was 46,3% at the beginning andincreased to 66,4% at the end. Creativity test result in tcalc 16,8. This value of 16,8 (morethan 2,04) means that there was a significant improvement of creativity after applying alearning instrument using learning process, the learning set/unit envisioned by SETS.From the whole result of the learning process, the learning set/unit envisioned by SETSshows improvement of learning result. Learning result test in tcalc 4,8. This value of 4,8(more than 2,04) mean that there was a significant improvement of learning outcome afterapplying the learning package using learning process, the learning set/unit envisionedby SETS.Keywords: creativity, learning process envisioned by SETS, learning result

Abstract

The background study of this research is to develop a learning model of the world oftemperature and heat for vocational school that does not have a physics laboratorium andalso to improve SMK students soft skills who want to enter the world of work. The goalsof this research are (1) developing a learning model to study temperature and heatthrough automotive workshop activity (2) knowing the learning model contribution oftemperature and heat through automotive workshop activity on improving vocationalstudents’ soft skills. This research material is temperature and heat, and the subject ofthis research is the 1Ith grade students of SMK 1 Sukoharjo, Wonosobo which consist ofthree classes. One class acts as small-scale experiment group, and two classes act aslarge-scale experiment group. The method used in this research is the Research and Developmentmethod (RD). Data where gathered from self-evaluation list about soft skillsthrough pre-test and post-test and observation. Implementation data of this learningmodel were taken from the score level of learning accomplishment. The analysis of softskills being used in this research is the score taken into percentage, whereas normality,homogencity and differential test are using SPSS. Analysis results of the students softskills percentage in the first small-scale experiment is 31%, in the second small-scale experimentis 44%, in the third small scale experiment is 59%, and differential test forthose three experiments show significant difference, which means there is an improvementof soft skills on each experiment. The results of the percentage analysis for largescaleexperiments on experimental class for the improvement of students’ soft skillsthrough pre-test and post-test score is 65% whereas control class is 38%. SPSS analysisof the data are normally distributed and homogenous, differential test shows that the experimentalclass gives a better result than control class, so it can be concluded that thelearning model through automotive workshop activity is effectively improving vocationalscholl students’ soft skills.Keywords: Soft Skills, Learning Model, Vocational Automotive.

Abstract

This study aimed to provide mathematics learning devices with concept attainment modelassisted by interactive CD on the triangle material of the 7th grade students that arevalid, practical, and effective. The development of mathematics learning devices is doneby referring to the model of Plomp educational development. The learning devices experimentwas held in the VII F class of SMP N 1 Pringsurat. Methods of data collectionthrough testing, documentation, observation, and questionnaires. The results of assessmentdata analysis from the experts validation obtained the mathematics learning deviceswith concept attainment model assisted by interactive CD that are valid, it was obtainedthat the learning devices are qualified for the practicality criteria they are the students responseand the results of the learning management are good or well and it is also qualifiedfor the effectiveness criteria: (1) learning is chefment minimum criteria; (2) themean of the experimental class was better than the control class; and (3) the students’ activityand motivation influenced the test of the students’ learning results about 49,1%.For this reason, it can be concluded that the development of learning devices with theconcept attainment assisted by interactive CD on the triangle material of the 7th gradestudents are valid, practical, and effective.Keywords: Development Learning Devices, Concept Attainment Model, Interctive CD

Abstract

This research is the development of learning tools, which aims to: (1) describe the development’sprocess and produce valid tools that contained character education on the ElementaryStatistic’s learning with Problem Based Learning methods; (2) To determine Effectiveleyresults the tools of learning. Those tools are developed by using the developmentmodel of Ploom. Field trials conducted on the elementary statistics learning atMathematics edacation program. Independent variables are motivation and process skills,while the dependent variable is the problem solving ability. Abstract

This research is the development research, done by applying 4-D Thiagarajan model, thathas been modified, by four phases of developing process. They are: defining, planning,developing, and disseminating. One that is developed is learning devices that includessyllabus, lesson plan, student work sheet, student book, and ability problem solving testinstrument. Techniques of data collection in this research by using validation sheetlearning teaching process set, observation of student activity sheet, questionnaire ofmotivates to study sheet, observation teacher capability sheet in learning teachingmanagement and the test of student’s ability of problem solving. The result of thisresearch shows that learning devices is valid and effective. The validity and the effectivitylearning devices shown by from result of try out are: students’ ability in problem solvinghas reached the mastery learning, higher than KKM; the average of students’ ability inproblem solving by using learning devices with IDEAL problem solving strategy withcharacter education content is 74,69 is higher than the average of students’ ability inproblem solving using expository with conventional teamwork that is only 70,75; thestudents’ activity and studying motivation in the learning process influence positively tothe students’ ability problem solving. Abstract

Education in Islamic boarding school has always been an interesting discourse to bestudied, discussed and researched. Islamic traditional educational institute that has beenentrenched in this society is largely managed traditionally. Nevertheless, boarding schoolstill get the recognition and trust from the community, because the boarding school cangrow the values of sincerity, self-sufficient, simplicity, fraternity, brotherhood, and freedom.This research purposes to uncover management of cadre by Presidium System inMaslakul Huda Islamic boarding School Kajen Margoyoso Pati Central Java.The results indicated that the implementation of organizational learning process inMaslakul Huda Islamic Boarding School, Kajen Margoyoso Central Java Pati is alreadyapplying the principles of management of cadre organization. Management of cadre organizationapplied in three forms: (1) cadre planning by presidium system, (2) cadre implementationby presidium system, and (3) cadre evaluation by presidium system. Somedata which are relating the structure and mechanism of organization, work programs, andinfrastructure, can be used as argument reference that management of cadre has been implementedin the whole of the school organizational learning programs.Keyword: management of cadre, Presidium System
