Abstract

Traditional ceremony Meron in Sukolilo is a unique and specific culture of nation. Valuesand meanings contained in the ritual have become relevant to social life. At present,the values of traditional ceremony Meron have undergone changes and shifts, then worriedthat it will become extinct. The method of this study is qualitative. Location of thestudy is in Sukolilo village, Pati regency. Target of the study is traditional ceremonyMeron. Data collection methods are observation, interview and documentation. Datavalidation is defined through cross-recheck. And data analysis implements interactiveapproach from Miles and Huberman. The result of the study: (1) the physical model andceremony of traditional ceremony Meron reflects functions of manifest and latent. (2)values contained in traditional ceremony Meron are historic, social, religious, pedagogic,and esthetic. (3) the value changes in traditional ceremony Meron happened because ofglobalization and modernization, while essence of the original model and process stillmaintained. The changes only happened in additional event such as entertainment. Carnivalcelebration has also undergone changes.. (4) Existence of traditional ceremonyMeron is very relevant to social life because it has inculturated and become part of sociallife. Existence of traditional ceremony Meron is able to be a trigger to support the developmentof social life in all major: ideology, politic, economy, social, culture, defense andsecurity.Keyword: Traditional Ceremony, Meron, Values

Abstract

The focus of this research is the management of vocational education techniques describedin the problem of engine research: planning, implementation and evaluation ofvocational education of Mechanical Engineering. The method used is a qualitative approachwith case studies of type procedures: (1) pre-field, (2) ekprolasi focus, then (3)data analysis. Techniques to obtain data by: (1) interviews, (2) observation, and (3) studythe document. Data analysis with inductive thinking techniques with the procedure: (1)data reduction, (2) data display, then (3) draw conclusions and verification. Results of research:(1) Planning is carried out through: the identification of needs through to the informationsearch and internet industry, the formulation of plans through workshops bypresenting representatives from business and industry, establishing a plan with the boardattended the plenary meeting of teachers, parents, learners and the school committee, andevaluation plan by Evabang, (2) exercising their education by organizing, coordinationand cooperation with business and industry to implement the learning in the form of thetheory by inserting character education, industry practices and work practices, and (3)Evaluation, including: evaluation external of the BAN-S/M and ISO, an internal evaluationconsists of: the performance evaluation of teachers by the school principal, teacherevaluation of learning by training the eye, prakerin evaluation by the industry, competencytest by the department manager, Middle Semester Deuteronomy, Deuteronomy End ofSemester, Examination Theory and practice with the committees, and labor recruitmenttest by the manager of BKK and industry recruiters.Keywords: vocational education, engineering mechanical

Abstract

The background study of this research is to develop a learning model of the world oftemperature and heat for vocational school that does not have a physics laboratorium andalso to improve SMK students soft skills who want to enter the world of work. The goalsof this research are (1) developing a learning model to study temperature and heatthrough automotive workshop activity (2) knowing the learning model contribution oftemperature and heat through automotive workshop activity on improving vocationalstudents’ soft skills. This research material is temperature and heat, and the subject ofthis research is the 1Ith grade students of SMK 1 Sukoharjo, Wonosobo which consist ofthree classes. One class acts as small-scale experiment group, and two classes act aslarge-scale experiment group. The method used in this research is the Research and Developmentmethod (R&D). Data where gathered from self-evaluation list about soft skillsthrough pre-test and post-test and observation. Implementation data of this learningmodel were taken from the score level of learning accomplishment. The analysis of softskills being used in this research is the score taken into percentage, whereas normality,homogencity and differential test are using SPSS. Analysis results of the students softskills percentage in the first small-scale experiment is 31%, in the second small-scale experimentis 44%, in the third small scale experiment is 59%, and differential test forthose three experiments show significant difference, which means there is an improvementof soft skills on each experiment. The results of the percentage analysis for largescaleexperiments on experimental class for the improvement of students’ soft skillsthrough pre-test and post-test score is 65% whereas control class is 38%. SPSS analysisof the data are normally distributed and homogenous, differential test shows that the experimentalclass gives a better result than control class, so it can be concluded that thelearning model through automotive workshop activity is effectively improving vocationalscholl students’ soft skills.Keywords: Soft Skills, Learning Model, Vocational Automotive.

Abstract

This research is the development research, done by applying 4-D Thiagarajan model, thathas been modified, by four phases of developing process. They are: defining, planning,developing, and disseminating. One that is developed is learning devices that includessyllabus, lesson plan, student work sheet, student book, and ability problem solving testinstrument. Techniques of data collection in this research by using validation sheetlearning teaching process set, observation of student activity sheet, questionnaire ofmotivates to study sheet, observation teacher capability sheet in learning teachingmanagement and the test of student’s ability of problem solving. The result of thisresearch shows that learning devices is valid and effective. The validity and the effectivitylearning devices shown by from result of try out are: students’ ability in problem solvinghas reached the mastery learning, higher than KKM; the average of students’ ability inproblem solving by using learning devices with IDEAL problem solving strategy withcharacter education content is 74,69 is higher than the average of students’ ability inproblem solving using expository with conventional teamwork that is only 70,75; thestudents’ activity and studying motivation in the learning process influence positively tothe students’ ability problem solving. Abstract

This research is the development of learning tools, which aims to: (1) describe the development’sprocess and produce valid tools that contained character education on the ElementaryStatistic’s learning with Problem Based Learning methods; (2) To determine Effectiveleyresults the tools of learning. Those tools are developed by using the developmentmodel of Ploom. Field trials conducted on the elementary statistics learning atMathematics edacation program. Independent variables are motivation and process skills,while the dependent variable is the problem solving ability. Abstract

Education in Islamic boarding school has always been an interesting discourse to bestudied, discussed and researched. Islamic traditional educational institute that has beenentrenched in this society is largely managed traditionally. Nevertheless, boarding schoolstill get the recognition and trust from the community, because the boarding school cangrow the values of sincerity, self-sufficient, simplicity, fraternity, brotherhood, and freedom.This research purposes to uncover management of cadre by Presidium System inMaslakul Huda Islamic boarding School Kajen Margoyoso Pati Central Java.The results indicated that the implementation of organizational learning process inMaslakul Huda Islamic Boarding School, Kajen Margoyoso Central Java Pati is alreadyapplying the principles of management of cadre organization. Management of cadre organizationapplied in three forms: (1) cadre planning by presidium system, (2) cadre implementationby presidium system, and (3) cadre evaluation by presidium system. Somedata which are relating the structure and mechanism of organization, work programs, andinfrastructure, can be used as argument reference that management of cadre has been implementedin the whole of the school organizational learning programs.Keyword: management of cadre, Presidium System

Abstract

Ritual is a form of activity that is done formally, realized with prayer, dance, music,drama and procedures for purification, pilgrimage, sacrifice, communion as a form ofhuman actualization of the divine order to create a safety and purpose of life is expected.The problems revealed in this study are: the meaning of the ritual process Grebeg Besar,functions, values contained in the Grebeg Besar . Qualitative research with an ethnographicapproach. Data collection techniques performed by the method of observation,interviews and document studies. Analysis of data using ethnographic methods. The resultsof this study found, the meaning of the ritual process, the function of ritual, theGrebeg Besar in Demak namely as a means of ceremonies, entertainment, communication,integration of the value contained in the Grebeg Besar research is expected to be amaterial reflection and pendidikam character for the community and the wider community,especially Demak in general, as found in the meaning of the ritual, the ritual function,meaning and function of music and the values in the Grebeg Besar.Keywords: the meaning of the ritual process, function, value

Abstract

This study aim to know whether the learning devices of mathematics by using Humanistic Based Metacognitive Approach to grow Critical Thinking Ability on Set Material. The type of this study is development research using modified Thiagarajan, Semmel & Semmel model. The learning devices that developed are syllabus, lesson plan, student book, worksheet, and the Critical Thinking Ability Test. The results suggests that obtained learning devices of syllabus with a mean value 3.67, lesson plan with a mean value 3.79, student books with a mean value 3.67, worksheet with a mean value 3.70, and critical thinking ability test with a mean value 3.76, then the learning devices are valid. The process of mathematics learning by using humanistic based metacognitive approach to grow critical thinking ability is proven to be effective. The effectiveness is characterized by the achievement of student mastering learning criteria is more than orequal to 80% classically and is greater than or equal to 65 individually, the critical thinking abilitiy of students are affected both by the activitiy and skills of students by 89.8 % and the average of critical thinking skills in class of test device is better than the control class.Keywords: Development of Learning Devices, Metacognitive Approach, humanistic, Critical Thinking.

Abstract

To the effect this research is subject to be find: (1 ) phase are in contemplation, (2 ) preparations(3 ) performing and reporting trick, (4 ) performing trick audit follow-ups inSMM ISO 9001:2008. In this research one will be observed is person, which is QMR /WMM and Team ISO in particular internal auditing activity in implemented SMM ISO9001:2008 by various its activity. Finding in observational it as, planning first internalauditing which is: was optimal deep determines all standard element that shall be auditted,secondly preparation internal auditing which is: auditors not all have grasp depththat adequately as auditor, one that drd internal auditing performing which is: internalauditing can do schedule outboard, and fourthly which is: KTS that found up to internalauditing therefore follow-up audit performed by auditors to check and ensures repair action/ correction action be done by job unit chairman. In this research suggests a fewthings, which is (1 ) SMM'S understanding qualities ISO 9001:2008 shall ever be increased.(2 ) a uditor shall have grasp to SMM ISO 9001:2008 so not experience doubtsin do internal auditing, (3 ) internal auditing Auditors shall understand six mandatoryclauses in SMM ISO 9001:2008, (4 ) need to be performed by next internal auditing researches.Keyword : quality management system (SMM),quality management representative(WMM)
