Abstract

Corn represents one of the agricultural comodities in Grobogan regency. However, the average corn production in Grobogan is only 4,92 ton/Ha. It is below the standard production determined by the government which ranges from 5,5 to 6 ton/ Ha. The aim of this study is to know the efficiency of production factors in farm bussiness, especially corn farm in Grobogan regency. The samples are 90 divisible respondents in Purwodadi, Torohand Kradenan. Then, the purposive cluster of area random sampling was applied for having the samples and quantitative descriptive approach was used for having the findings. After analyzing the data, it is shown that the variables influence the efficiency of production factors in farm bussiness are land area, seed production, and fertilizer production. Furthermore, those variables are inefficient in the busssiness farm. It is based on the calculation that shows the following findings: technical efficiency is 0,9996633, the price efficiency is1,53563, and the economic efficiency is 1,5346. Knowing that the variables involve in the farm bussiness, especially corn have not been efficient yet, the government roles are needed, and agriculture policy should be issued for protecting the peasants.

Abstract

Regional expansion could be a strength to improve the performance of local governments and subsequently should have a positive impact, such as improving the welfare of the local community. Regional expansion also aims to make governments at regional level to be more focused on escalating potential sectors in their regions. This study analyzes the repositioning of the GRDP contributing sector before and after expansion between two regency regions in 2010-2017, one parental Regency and one area that is separated from its parental. Repositioned sectors show the influence of an area in terms of its wealth of the resources as basis sector. The research method uses Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift Share analysis. Results of this study show that before and after expansion of districts into new regency, agricultural sector has declined in the contribution of GRDP. But after the expansion, the sectors with the best economic performance are the construction, administration and trade repair sectors. In addition, agricultural sector to some extent has been decreased in the two regions. But at the same time, agricultural sector become leading sector in the new region with slow growth. Implication of this study is that the division of regions would not create new leading sector if the potential sector in a new region is the leading sector in the older region. Therefore, policy making which ensure basic sectors to have positive proportional shift and differential shift could drive economic development planning in both regions.

The result shows that among the businesses that has already funded by crowdfunding system, ‘video game’ is one of the most favorite project. It is successful in getting pledges. However, food and drink did not get fund as much as the favorites project. It was based on the percentage of fund that has already got from crowdfunding. In short, crowdfunding can help creative business as a top rank start-up rather than manufacture business.

Abstract

Tingginya minat konsumsi masyarakat menyebabkan pedagang kaki lima menjadi semakin banyak, terutama masyarakat kelas bawah. Street vendors usually have bad impression because they are dirty and disorderly. It is because they are disorganized and they often occupy public places. The high interest of consumers, especially from the lower class has made more and more street vendors. By issuing Perda of 2000 No. 11, the local government of Semarang has tried to organize them. However, it is not a comprehensive solution to overcome the problems of street vendors. The population of this study is 173 street vendors in Perumnas Tlogosari Semarang. The samples are 100 people who are mostly from outside of Tlogosari. The model of street vendors in PerumTlogosari is Linear Concentration. The results show that before organizing the street vendors, there isn’t any association for them, but now they have an association which is called Paguyuban Pedagang dan Jasa (PPJ). The social impacts of having PPJ are the street vendors have routine social gathering, as well as other regulations that can minimize conflicts that can arise between them. From the economics point of view, most of them can increase their incomes per month. Therefore, to maintain the sustainability of the positive effects that arise, the street vendors should maintain and implement rules that have been agreed, as well as having innovations for the goods they sell so that they have sustainable profit
