Examining literary texts, especially poetry or song lyrics, is generally always related to the problem of meaning. This is a natural thing because poetry is always conveyed in indirect language. Nevertheless, poetry research should understand more than just the meaning of poetry; more critical is how to manage understanding, imagination, and the role of the plurality of texts in uncovering its significance. This research is in line with that. Namely, it aims to examine the significance and appreciation of the lyrical text of a children's song entitled Nanatsu no Ko by Noguchi Ujo. This study uses the text semiology approach or textual narrative analysis proposed by Roland Barthes. The data analysed is the Lexia, the units of reading that comprise the entire text. The lexias have been determined and then analysed using five narrative codes: hermeneutic, proaretic, semic, symbolic, and references codes. This study also uses significance analysis (denotation and connotation) to understand the semic code and connotation of the text. The results of this study found that the significance of the text is a message of criticism about the author's disappointment with Japan's modernisation policy which abandoned the original identity of the Japanese nation. This significance is obtained through the analysis of narrative codes which show the role of plural texts, even though they are conveyed in the form of children's song lyrics, with simple and easy-to-understand diction and arrangement.

Namun, dewasa ini baik di Indonesia maupun Jepang, masyarakat mulai mengedepankan sikap kritis dalam menghadapi fenomena LGBT ini.

The Edo Period (1868-1912) was the era when Japan was under the rule of a class government or military group. The class system is also a feature of the Edo Period, known as the Shi-Nou-Kou-Sho system. The highest class is samurai or the military, while the lowest class is merchant. Those from the merchant class usually marry the merchant class in an arranged marriage system. Merchant class women had arranged marriages since they were children. The research in this study is how society views women who work in the Edo period, through the drama analysis unit Asa ga Kita. The theory used is Linda Brannon's theory of gender stereotypes.

Lyrics which are the main composition in a song have a form of communication in the form of words created by the author to express his feelings. This study aims to describe the meaning of the lyrics of the song Daimei no Nai Kyou (題名のない今日) by Hiraida with heuristic reading, hermeneutic reading, and searching for matrices, models, variants, and hypograms. The method used in this study uses the study of literary semiotics as an analytical tool. The data used in this study are the lyrics of the song Daimei no Nai Kyou (題名のない今日) by Hiraida. The theory used is Rifattere's theory of heuristic and hermeneutic reading. Based on the process of reading through heuristics, hermeunistics, models, matrices, and variants, it can be concluded that the description of the meaning of the lyrics of the song Daimei no Nai Kyou is about the meaning of the process of human life. Someone who feels that his life is ordinary and has nothing special to do. However, life is not limited only by the 'alias' or famous nickname that one has. The process of living life is how a person judges himself that all individuals are not the same. Precisely doing small actions that are beneficial to the lives of fellow human beings is a shining kindness. Live your life without having to listen to other people's words and fear what will happen next, just do what you think is good and right. Not only humans feel helped by the kindness given, other living things such as animals and plants also feel the same gratitude.

This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the representation of the uchi-soto concept as a form of teineigo in Japanese and its translation into Indonesian. The uchi soto concept as an in-group and out-group concept has a very strong influence on language in Japanese society. This study aims to find out how the concept of uchi soto is represented as a form of honorific, to analyze the form of teienigo translation and changes in meaning that occur in the translation. The results of the study shown that the concept of soto is more often used in the -masu form while the concept of uchi is more often used in the -desu form. Translation results contained in the drama subtitles of The Journalist (2022) and Pretty Proofreader (2015) shown that there are several changes in meaning made by the translator. This is caused by the different translators in each drama and translator's lack of understanding of these two concepts. The analysis of the form of honorific translation illustrates the complexity of the translation process which affects the equivalence of the translation.

This study explores the distinctive narrative of Momoiro Clover Z, a Japanese female idol group that defied traditional idol conventions. Central to Momoiro Clover Z's identity was their deliberate departure from the typical kawaii idol image, portraying themselves as strong women. Their narrative closely adhered to the monomyth or Hero's Journey framework, chronicling their transformation from ordinary individuals to celebrated idols. This storytelling strategy resonated deeply with fans and was pivotal to their meteoric rise. Despite having only few members and abolishing interactive events like handshakes, Momoiro Clover Z used the concept of kyara to distinguish members and engage fans. They cultivated a family-friendly image, appealing to diverse demographics while avoiding objectification and the sexualization often associated with idols. In summary, Momoiro Clover Z's success can be attributed to their unique narrative approach, differentiating them from traditional idols, and their emphasis on their journey to stardom. By incorporating elements of the monomyth framework, they solidified their identity as strong women and earned their status as one of Japan's most influential female idol groups.

Naruto and Naruto Shippūden are the anime series adapted from Masashi Kishimoto’s manga. The Naruto series aired in Japan from 2002-2007, while Naruto Shippūden was from 2007-2017. These animes are interconnected, Naruto is part one and Naruto Shippūden is part two. These animes took some of the original traditions of the Shinobi though not the same. Indeed, Shinobi is real and not a myth. If studied historically, Shinobi were considered ancient warriors of Japan other than the Samurai-侍. Nevertheless, the theory about the birth of the Shinobi is complicated to trace, but Shinobi existed in feudal Japan, especially during the Sengoku Jidai-戦国時代. This research tries to examine the cultural reality and facts of the Shinobi in the Naruto and Naruto Shippūden series. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The result of this study shows that Naruto and Naruto Shippūden adopted the reality of the Japanese Shinobi. Some of the original Shinobi elements were adopted in this anime such as the use of weapons, hand seals, the use of nature elements, and so on. Through these animes, viewers are invited to recognize the traditions of the Japanese Ninja world.
