Abstract

Portable data storage devices, such as flash drives, are one of the most widely used data storage media today. It has a fairly large storage capacity and is easy to carry around. However, flash drives are also prone to damage, such as lost or deleted files. Damage to files on a pen drive can be caused by various factors, such as user error, viruses, or physical damage. File damage caused by user error, such as accidental deletion of files, can be easily repaired using file recovery software. One of the popular file recovery software is Photorec, which is an open-source software that can be used to recover various types of files, including photos, videos, documents, and other files. Photorec uses the file carving method to recover lost or deleted files. The file carving method is a file recovery method that works by looking for intact blocks of data within the storage media. These intact data blocks are then identified as specific files. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of Photorec in recovering lost files on a flash disk. This research uses an experimental method by simulating file corruption on a flash disk in Bina Darma University. File damage is done by accidentally deleting files. The results show that Photorec can recover lost files on flash drives with a high success rate. Photorec can recover lost files intact, including photos, videos, documents, and other files.

Abstract

According to the rules of the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI), undergraduate students fall into levels 5 and 6. Here, graduates are required to have the ability to apply existing knowledge according to the needs of the job. However, laboratory facilities that provide such competencies are very difficult to provide, especially for private campuses that rely on funding from students. This research tries to anticipate the gap between students' abilities and industry demands by providing laboratory facilities that do not require large costs. One of the courses demanded for students to master is Artificial Intelligence (AI), which has now spread to various fields. However, the curriculum currently applied usually focuses only on methods commonly used in the field of AI, while implementation in corporate fields requires direct application in the form of applications. Research results prove that several online applications can be used as substitutes for laboratories, including Google Colab, Play with Docker, Streamlit, and Teachable Machine. Compared to providing servers, computers containing development applications, using computers or laptops connected to the internet, students can easily implement the AI knowledge they have learned. For group work, applications for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery can be utilized, for example with Github, Gitlab, and similar ones.

Abstract

The causes of damage to the chiller machine can be sorted in a logical sequence to find the cause of damage to the chiller machine, so that users can immediately find out the cause of the existing damage. An expert system is a computer program that contains knowledge from one or more human experts about a specific field. With this system, it is hoped that users can easily find out about damage and how to handle it on the machine. Observations were carried out directly on the research object, namely PT Indofood CBP, because the way to observe the research object is to understand the needs of the research object so that the system built can meet the needs of the user concerned. Starting from minor problems to serious problems, apart from that, we also test the running of the chiller until the operation of every machine that requires supply from this chiller machine. This system was created with the aim of making it easier for users if they experience difficulties in carrying out repairs or troubleshooting the chiller machine. So that you can get solutions based on previous experiences carried out by Engineers. After collecting analytical data to overcome troubleshooting, the design stage is carried out to create an expert system for detecting damage to machines and how to handle repairs based on the experience that has been provided.
