Abstract

The presence of G.E. Moore (1873-1956), undoubtedly has brought a new wave of thought. A thought that has changed the development of English philosophical thinking into analytic and neo realism. Moore has deconstructed Bradley's idealsm. Moore revived English philosophy of common sense. Common sense is a belief in direct apprehension of material things. It is important to solve daily life probelms. Common sense epistemology is specifically Moore epistemology. Is separates the subjects from objects distingtively. A subject sees factual objects in direct experience so that he gets sense data. To apprehend sense data directly, it involves conscious activity. The result of activity is the true and necessary knowledge. Common sense Moore's epistemology based on Aristotelian epistemology.Moore common sense epistemology influenced later philosophies of Russell and Ayer in English, and Ayn Rand in America. Russell perceived common sense as an inderence rule to daily experience based on istinct. It differed from Ayer who developed his philosophy based on verification. Common sense is an understanding to given object that is directly observed. Ayn Rand in America developed his epistemology based on objective object as a real material things. The truth of knowledge is apriori. Its based on truism like Moore's epistemology.

Abstract

A dream has been a part of human life. It's a universal phenomenon playing an important role in building culture of human being althought it is experience. It is also a thing embedding a human life. The discource of dream, so far, isn't not dominated by both one community and one knowledge discipline. But, it does several disciplines for instace; philosophy, psychology, religion, etc. It proved that dream discourse is extremly open to study because of its interesting and actual object/ Moreover, in field academic, the dream is more popular and well-known by psycolog with its psychology as discipline but this paper isn't triying to built dream from psychological approach. Although Carl Gustav Jung as the expret whom I will study is a psycolog that concerns dream theories but I will try to see aspects of philosophical metaphysis from those Jung's theories.I am of descriptive-analitycal method to use. I am trying to describe Jung's terminoligies and keywords then to search the background of his thought construction. From this point of view, I am trying to analyze it in order to find the aspects of philosophical metaphysic from those Jung's theories.Carl Gustav Jung is Sigmund Freud's student. While taking several teachers theories, Jung didn't have same idea. It's because his teacher tends to sexuality and both materialist and biological oriented in explaining his theories. Jung's doctrine which is well-known as analytical psychology is strongly stated by myth, mysticism, metaphysic and religious experience. He believes that those are more relevant to desribe well on human spirituality, on the other side, Freud's theories has just touched materialistic ones.Accordin to Jung, personality is the compromised combination between the inner life and the out world. Therefore, according to Jung, dream is a proof of exsisting dimension of innate religious because, recently, dreams describe by classic and modern people are desribed psychological paradigm about the relation between human being and spiritual world. Through analyzing dream from any psychological aspect, he concludes it is the existence of religious inner power that manifest the form of glorying and sacralizing thing in the human life.

Abstract

AbstractJavanese take care of harmony and honour of their homeland as important as they take care of their family. Familiarity does not only occur in their family, but also in the wide society. Their society is considered as a big family and viewed as a harmonywhich requires to be taken care of. The harmonious life does not merely take care of an orderly social relationship, but it also respects and relates to supernatural realm. According to Javanese, the human life on the earth is directly interconnected with the supernatural realm. The modern state of Indonesia applies a social system of familiarity which is based on harmonious values and mutualassistance (mutuality) and reciprocity. The values exist on the social system of Java. However, there is an elementaryphilosophical difference. The philosophy of modern Indonesia state views that the familiarity, which includes harmonious values, mutual assistance and reciprocity, only occurs between state and citizen, not the supernatural realm.Keyword: familiarity, respect, harmony, mutuality, reciprocity.

Abstract

The background of this article is a metaphysical problem that arose in Immanuel Kant's thought in his Critique of Pure Reason. Through a hermeneutic approach this article aims to analyze the metaphysical problems that arise in Immanuel Kant's epistemology of thought. Based on the research results can be concluded that the unequivocal separation between phenomena and noumena will cause humans will never come to the knowledge of the Transcendent, as well as with moral and aesthetics. This is because such knowledge can only be obtained through my participation as a Subject through the process of continuous existence and more of a personal invitation. In the end it can be concluded that the nature of analog knowledge is the meaning of multidimensional side of human life. This brings consequences to the need for intersubjective dialogue and continual openness. Knowledge is an infinite thing. Human knowledge therefore will never reach the end of the journey but only continuously expanded its horizon.

Abstract

AbstractWayang becomes one of evidences of Indonesians history in a cultural transformation. Wayang stories become more various by the Hindu’s stories influences which are Ramayana and Mahabharata. Both of Hindu’s stories influence on creating newwayang stories, but the old stories are not discarded.A thought about grandeur values of human life with its excellence and weakness symbolizes three choices of valueshierarchy of the wayang story. First, matter values concerningabout worldly pleasure. Second, spiritual values, they are truth, goodness, and beauty values. Three, religious values, they areholiness and eternity values. A consideration based on the needs of values hierarchy and way of thinking is that a modernization process does not need to eliminate the roles of spiritual and religious values. Religious values are brought into being sources of reference to settle life problems. Spiritual values are kept being put in a hierarchy which is more glorious than worldly values. An urgent problem in the framework of developing nation identity is the ideal type of Indonesian in the future. The ideal type of Indonesian should has three dimensions: bio individual, social organizational, and theological dimension.Keyword: Wayang, values hierarchy, modernization.
