Abstract

Abstract; The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the AVT which includes the planning phase, implementation phase, evaluation phase, the constraints encountered, efforts are made, and institutional support to the implementation of the AVT. This study used a qualitative approach to the type of qualitative descriptive study. Source of research data is all that is involved in the implementation of the Foundation Aurica AVT (chairman, habilitation coordinator, therapists, students, and parents). Data collection techniques by the method of interview, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques with flow analysis techniques include data reduction stage, the data display and verification. The results show that AVT planning stages include a six-month target learning and planning sessions. AVT implementation phase starts with conditioning the Ling 6 sound and then proceed to develop the five aspects of the language in which AVT audition, language, speech, cognition and communication. AVT evaluation phase includes the planning session and a six-month progress report. Abstrak; Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan AVT yang meliputi tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap evaluasi, kendala-kendala yang dihadapi, upaya-upaya yang dilakukan, dan dukungan lembaga terhadap pelaksanaan AVT.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian adalah semua yang terlibat dalam pelaksanaan AVT di Yayasan Aurica (ketua yayasan, koordinator habilitasi, terapis, siswa, dan orang tua). Teknik pengumpulan data dengan metode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dengan teknik flow analisis meliputi tahapan reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tahap perencanaan AVT meliputi target belajar per 6 bulan dan planning session. Tahap pelaksanaan AVT dimulai dengan conditioning dengan Ling 6 sound dan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mengembangkan 5 aspek berbahasa dalam AVT yaitu audition, language, speech, cognition dan communication. Tahap evaluasi AVT meliputi hasil planning session dan laporan perkembangan per 6 bulan.   Kata Kunci : Anak Tunarungu, Cochlear Implant, Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT)
