Abstract

The purposes of this study were (1) to know the teacher’s planning in using the audiovisual media on Science subject at SMP Negeri 1 Pacitan, (2) to know the skill of teacher in using the audio visual media on Science subject at SMP Negeri 1 Pacitan, (3) to know the barriers in using the audiovisual media on Science subject at SMP Negeri 1 Pacitan, and (4) to describe the learning outcome of students in using the audiovisual media on Science subject at SMP Negeri 1 Pacitan.This study was conducted using a qualitative approach and descriptive methods. The data collected in this study based on interviews, field observations and documents, in the form of pictures and notes on the school profile. The respondents of this study were students of SMP Negeri 1 Pacitan in the 2012/2013 Academic Year, class VII, VIII, and IX, all of the science teachers and the principal. The results of this research showed that in planning, the science teachers paid attention to the competence standards contained in the Education Unit Level Curriculum (SBC) so that the direction and learning objectives can be achieved optimally and also consider the availability of facilities and infrastructure. The teachers’ skills are sufficient and competent enough but needs to be improved by folowing trainings, workshops, or invite the relevant instructors. The problems in the form of technical and non-technical constraints were generally not a problem and can besolved by the creativity of teachers to maximize the existing infrastructure. Student learning out come after using audio-visual media was increased, it means with the use of audio-visual media in the students’ absorbsion was increased.The implementation of teaching learning process in science at SMP Negeri 1 Pacitan by using audio-visual media ran very interactively and enthusiasticly, students became more motivated to keep learning. Keywords: audiovisual media, Science, achievement

Abstract

The background: The success of the learning determined by students, teachers, support facilities in learning method. The research aims at determining differences in theinfluence of the implementation ofexample non example type of cooperative learning method and jigsaw type to achievement of citizenship education study,differences in the influenceon the high learning students motivated and on the low learning motivated to citizenship education studys achievement, andthe interaction influence of learning method to the students motivation achievement on citizenship education study.Methods: This research used experiment methods.The population is junior high school student in Undaan district  Kudus regency. The research sampling was taken by using cluster random sampling, at total of 60 students. The data collecting technique used theory objective test, and questionnaire to know the students learning motivation. To variable of learning students motivated and citizenship education studys achievement learning questionnaire validity and reliability. Data was analyzedby two – ways  variant analisys.Results: From the data analysis it can be concluded: (1) There is a significant defferencee between in the implementation of the example non example type learning, cooperative method and jigsaw type to the achievement of citizenship education study (2) There is a significant defferencee between on on the high learning students motivated and on the low learning motivated to citizenship education studys achievement , and (3) there isan interaction of influencesof learning methodand the students motivation to achievement on citizenship education study . Keywords : example non example, jigsaw, achievement on citizenship education, students motivated

Abstract

Pengembangan supplement instructional materials berbantuan komputer ini dilatarbelakangi adanya kebutuan mahasiswa dalam mempelajari content mata kuliah dasar rangkaian listrik khususnya yang berkaitan dengan problem solving dari materi kuliah tersebut untuk mengembangkan aspek know-how sehingga mahasiswa akan lebih mudah memahami konsep dan terekam dalam long term memory. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: mengetahui pola pelaksanaan pembelajaran mata kuliah dasar rangkaian listrik, mengembangkan desain model supplement instructional materialsberbantuan komputer yang sesuai, dan mengetahui tingkat keefektifan model yang dikembangkan berdasarkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa.Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian R&D dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu: 1) pra penelitian; 2) penelitian pengembangan, dan 3) tahap evaluasi. Tahap pengembangan diawali dari pengembangan produk, validasi ahli, revisi produk, pengujian satu-satu, revisi produk, pengujian kelompok kecil dan revisi produk, sedangkan tahap evaluasi merupakan kelanjutan dari tahap pengembangan yakni pengujian produk terhadap kelompok besar dengan setting sesungguhnya.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan sekarang ini masih memiliki beberapa kelemahan sehingga berdasarkan potensi yang dimiliki dan permasalahan yang dihadapi, pengembangan supplement instructional materials berbantuan komputer merupakan sebuah upaya yang efektif untuk mengatasi permasalahan dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah dasar rangkaian listrik. Berdasarkan hasil uji t testpaired two sample for means terhadap hasil pre test dan post test dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk supplement instructional materials berbantuan komputer mata kuliah dasar rangkaian listrik efektif ditinjau dari hasil belajar. Kata Kunci: supplement instructional materials, berbantuan komputer, dasarrangkaian listrik

Abstract

This study aims to : (1) determine the implementation of character education in SMP Negeri 1 Wonogiri academic year 2012/2013. (2) determine the constraints that arise in the implementation and how to overcome them in the implementation of character education in SMP Negeri 1 Wonogiri academic year 2012/2013.The research was conducted at SMP Negeri I Wonogiri. This study used a qualitative approach in the form of discreptive. Sources of data obtained from three sources, namely (1) the event, (2) the informant, (3) documents or written sources. Data was collected by: (1) observation / observation. (2) interview (3) Teaching documents (content analysis), (4) questionnaire. Purpusive sampling using sampling and sample techniques. Examination of the validity of the data by using the constancy of observation and triangulation of data. The results were analyzed using intraktif technical analysis (1) data reduction, (2) presentation of data, (3) drawing conclusions / verification.Research results are (1) the implementation of the implementation of the character of students in learning social studies in SMP Negeri 1 Wonogiri is already running but not maximum, (2) the constraints that emerged was the lack of implementation of teacher learning model based on the characters, the lack of a policy on the assessment of character education in learning, and the weak awareness and willingness of students in the application of character values in daily life. Keywords: character education, social studies learning

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to: (1) The effect of STAD models of learning achievement in terms of interest in learning social studies eighth grade students a semester MTsN Kudus District. (2) Effect of conventional learning model to learning achievement in terms of interest in learning social studies eighth grade students a semester MTsN Kudus District. (3) the effect of STAD and conventional learning models of learning achievement in terms of interest in learning in social studies class VIII semester se MTsN Kudus District. This study is an experimental study. Its population is students MTsN 1 and MTsN 2 Kudus Kab. Methods of data collection using the quesioner and test methods. Analysis using two- way analysis of variance. Based on the analysis and discussion of hypothesis testing can be concluded: (1) There are significant differences in the social studies achievement using STAD model group and the conventional group. Student learning outcomes in social studies with STAD model is better than the students who used conventional models. (2) There are significant differences in the group of social studies achievement of students with a high interest in learning and a group of students with low interest in learning. Student learning outcomes in social studies subjects who have a high interest in learning is better than the students who had low interest in learning. (3) There is interaction between the model of learning with interest in learning to learning achievement IPS. Learning achievement in social studies subjects in group STAD model with a high interest in learning has the highest average value, while the conventional model with a low interest in learning has the lowest average value. Keywords: Type STAD Cooperative Learning Model, Conventional, Interest in Learning, Learning Achievement IPS.

Abstract

The purpose of this studies to determine (1) the difference in the effect of the aplication job experience and the demonstration method toward student’s learning achievement for cognitive ability on BCMRCIS (2) the difference in the effect of high and low learning motivation toward student’s learning achievement for cognitive ability on BCMRCIS (3) the interaction in the effect of the learning method and student’s learning motivation toward learning achievement for cognitive ability on BCMRCIS. (4) the difference in the effect of the aplication job experience and demonstration method toward student’s learning achievement for psychomotor ability on BCMRCIS. (5) the difference in the effect of high and low learning motivation toward students’learning achievement for psychomotor ability on BCMRCIS (6) the interaction in the effect of the learning method and student’s learning motivation toward learning achievement for psychomotor ability on BCMRCIS.This research type is a scientific experiment. Data analysis used ANAVA 2 ways with fictorial design 2x2. The population is a class of XII Light Vehicle Engineering (LVE) Skills Competence SMK Muhammadiyah Kudus as many as 170 students. The sampling technique used a multi-stage random sampling which consists of 30 students of LVE1 XII class SMK Muh Kudus as the experimental group using the job experience method, 30 students of LVE1 XII class SMK Muh Undaan as a control group using a demonstration method, and 30 students of LVE1 XII class SMK Muh Ponpes as a  instrumen group Based on the analysis it appears that: (1) there is a difference in the effect of the aplication job experience and demonstration method toward student’s learning achievement for cognitive ability on BCMRCIS, the decision test (H0 is rejected). (2) there is no difference in the effect  of high and low learning motivation toward student’s learning achievement for cognitive ability on BCMRCIS, the decision test   (H0 is accepted). (3) there is no the effect in the interaction between the learning methods and  student’s learning motivation toward learning achievement for cognitive ability on BCMRCIS, the decision test  (H0 is accepted). (4) there is a difference in the effect of the aplication job experience and demonstration method toward student’s learning achievement for psychomotor ability on BCMRCIS, the decision test   (H0 is rejected). (5) there is a difference in the effect of high and low learning motivation toward student’s learning achievement for psychomotor ability on BCMRCIS, the decision test   (H0 is rejected). Abstract

The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) whether or not there is a difference of effect between the team games tournament learning method and the quantum learning method on the learning achievement in Social Science; (2) whether or not there is a difference of effect between the students’ high initial ability and the students’ low initial ability on the learning achievement in Social Science; and (3) whether or not there is an interaction effect between the learning methods and the students’ initial abilities on the learning achievement in Social Science.This research used the quantitative research method with the experimental method. It was conducted at State Primary School 2 of Ketos as experimental class and State Primary School 1 of Paranggupito as control class. The former and the latter were treated with the team games tournament and the quantum learning method.  The population of the research included all of the students of State Primary Schools in Paranggupito  sub-district, Wonogiri regency. The samples of the research were taken by using the purposive random sampling technique.  The data of the research were analyzed by using the two-way analysis of variance with the pre-requisite tests of normality test and homogeneity test at the significance test of 5%.  The results of the research show that (1) there is a significant difference of effect between the team games tournament learning method and the quantum learning method on the learning achievement in Social Science as indicated by the value of Fcount = 44.399 > that of Ftable = 4.00 at the significance level of 0.05 meaning that the proposed hypothesis is verified; (2) there is a significance difference of effect between the students’ high initial ability and the students’ low initial ability on the learning achievement in Social Science as shown by the value of Fcount = 28.582 > that of Ftable = 4.00 at the significance level of 0.05 meaning that the proposed hypothesis is verified; and (3) there is a significance interaction effect between the learning methods and the students’ initial abilities on the learning achievement in Social Science as pointed out by the value of Fcount = 6.651 > that of Ftable = 4.00 at the significance level of 0.05 meaning that the proposed hypothesis is verified.Based on the results of the research, the teachers should necessarily pay attention to the students’ initial abilities in designing the teaching and learning process as this will grow the students’ learning motivation, which later improves  the the learning achievement in Social Science. Keywords:Effect, team games tournament learning method, quantum learning method, and learning achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: (1) to know about usage of multimedia in Indonesian Language and Literature Learning; (2) to know about the positive impact of multimedia usage toward the quality and progress of learning Indonesian Language and Literature; (3) to understand the supporting and resisting factors of the usage of multimedia in Indonesian Language and Literature Learning.This is a qualitative research.  The data analysis uses interactive analysis model. The results of the research show that: (1) the usage of multimedia in Indonesian Language and Literature learning was conducted with a complete planning. The teacher prepared the curriculum such as Syllabus, Lesson Plan (RPP), assessment instrument, material, Media, LCD, and also laptop. The Multimedia was used by the teacher as a medium to give motivation at the beginning of the activity in front of the class. (2) The multimedia has positive impact toward the learning quality. The quality improvement can be seen from the increase of motivation, enthusiasm, and also the students’ understanding. (3) The supporting factor of the multimedia usage in Indonesian language and literature learning comes from the complete facilities and infrastructures, the good competence of the teacher in using and managing the class, good understanding of the students, and the availability of learning sources. Whereas the resisting factors found are the lack of funds, the absence of radiator machine and the reduced time in consequence of the teacher’s necessity to leave the class for official and private interests. Keywords: learning, multimedia, language literature, Indonesian

Abstract

Objectives of the research are to (1) determine the planning of English language learning with audiovisual media in SMP N 3 Bawen. (2) Determine the implementation of English language learning with audiovisual media in SMP N 3 Bawen. (3) Determine the evaluation of English language learning with audiovisual media in SMP N 3 Bawen. (4) Constraints that faced and how to handle it in English language learning with audiovisual media in SMP N 3 Bawen. This is qualitative research with descriptive qualitative research strategy. Methods of data collection used depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Analysis of the data used the interactive model.The results showed that: (1) Planning of English learning with Audio Visual Media begins with preparing the syllabus includes learning tools, lesson plans, LCDs, Laptops and materials, which is conducted at the beginning of the semester. English teacher is sharing with other teacher, senior teachers and fellow teacher in MGMPs of English language. (2) The implementation of English learning with Audio Visual Media begins with reference to the syllabus and lesson plans; prepare teaching materials and learning software. Teacher directing students to determine learning objectives, set the lesson activity so that the material can be delivered. (3) Evaluation of learning outcomes held after completing 1 SK / KD, that performed by individuals and groups, the evaluation is in written and an oral test. the criteria of successful student with KKM value of 7.2 Point. (4) Constraints that faced are learning room is less dark so that the display on the screen is difficult to be observed. Teacher’s difficulties in the manufacturing process so that the media helped more expert teachers. The limitation ability of English teachers in preparing instructional materials, so it should look in the internet media that is not necessarily in accordance with the wishes and have spent long time.  Keyword : Learning, Audio Visual Media, English Language

Abstract

This study directed forDetermine the implementation of Mechanical Engineering with a method of learning two stay two stray (TS-TS) at SMKMuhammadiyah Semarang regency Sumowono.Determine the success of Mechanical Engineering with a method of learning two stay two stray (TS-TS) on quality and learning outcomes learners in vocational Muhammadiyah Sumowono Semarang District.And,know the obstacles and weaknesses in Mechanical Engineering with a method of learning two stay two stray (TS-TS) at SMKMuhammadiyahSumowono Semarang regency.This study was a qualitative research. The Methods of collecting data used interviews, the participation of observation, and the triangulation of data. Analysis of the data used the interactive method. The Validity of data used triangulation methods, and the learning of Implementation Plan Analysis Mechanical Engineering with two stay two stray methods (TS-TS) at SMKMuhammadiyah Sumowono done systematically. The prior to implementing the learning activities of mechanical engineering studies teachers prepare the necessary equipment such as forming groups, arranging seating, setting up the learning, teaching materials to be used, learning media and named groups. The Teachers finished with some reflection activities with learners who analyzed the results of the discussion. Mechanical Engineering Learning used two stay two stray (TS-TS) at SMKMuhammadiyah Sumowono could be said to be successful when viewed from the aspect of quality and learning outcomes. Quality is evident from the interactive learning process conducted by teachers and learners. Mechanical Engineering Barriers to learning usedtwo stay two stray (TS-TS) at this school from the learner factors, the time, the scope of the material, and learning spaces.Learning time reduced because equipments used to prepare teachers  used ICT and learners to organize the space and draw up a table and chairs. Not all materials can be provided by using two stay two stray (TS-TS) so that the teacher must pick and choose appropriate materials for learning. The school does not have a dedicated space for group activities so that they use the regular classroom where the arrangement of office is seen is not maximized. .Keywords: learning, two stay two stray (TS-TS), mechanical engineering
