Abstract

Education expected to increase youngsters quality in many aspects to lessen and or decrease the cause of cultural and national character problem, whilst religion, act as barrier, to decide which is good or bad, before they act. That is why the need of education combined  with religious belief to increase students religious understanding to prevent youngsters wrong doings. This study is to describe planning, implementation, evaluation, problem identification, and solution in deal with implementation problems of "fun & full day school" system to increase students religious belief in SDIT Al Islam Kudus.This is a qualitative descriptive study. Data were taken from informans, place and events, and documents. The informans are headmaster himself, teachers and students in SDIT Al Islam Kudus. Place and events of implementation of the "fun & full day school" learning process is SDIT Al Islam Kudus. Documents for data sources were photos, files, or papers related with lessons in SDIT Al Islam Kudus. According to source, the data from field observation, data from lesson plans and data collecting technique using triangulation were combination of interviews, observations and documentations.From the study, the conlusions are, 1) SDIT Al Islam Kudus has well planned their lessons by developing and managing the lessons in "fun & full day school" with teachers planning according Dick, Carey and Careys model. 2) Implementation of integrated and balanced lesson in "fun & full day school" has ran well in purpose to create religious generations 3) Evaluations in the "fun & full day school" to students increase religious belief have been using varied assesment techniques and methods. 4). Problems of "fun & full day school" system was from two sources, they are students and teachers.  Keywords: Fun and Full day School system, students religious belief

Abstract

There are still many shortcomings and is not optimal in the learning process. Teachers as professionals are supposed to find and fix the learning process that used to be the assumption that learning English difficult and boring can be eliminated, otherwise can increase students motivation to learn English, so researcher applying one of which is the application of the model using the ASSURE Model and  Powerpoint media.The subject of this research was X grade students of MAN Sukoharjo senior high school academic year 2012/2013, consisting of 21 students. This research was conducted at state in. Types of research used in this study are: CAR (Classroom Action Research). The researcher conducted three cycles of action research and each cycle consisted of a series of steps, namely: identifying the problems, planning the action, implementing the action, observing the action, reflecting the observation result, and revising the plan. The data of the research were collected by using some techniques including observation, interview, documents, and tests. Then, the qualitative data were analyzed by Interactive Model: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The quantitative data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics (DS) to calculate the mean score of pretest and post-tests 1, 2, and 3.The results of the research was score: pretest 64;test on Cycle 1 68;test on Cycle 2 74;test on Cycle 3 79,52. This post test is higher than the English passing grade (KKM/ Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal) that is 70. According the results above, the researcher can get the conclusions are:(1) In applying the ASSURE Model is a model that is strongly influenced by the teachers creativity in integrating the materials, methods, and media. (2) In model ASSURE  students are also given the opportunity to evaluate himself, teachers, and schools, so that the implementation needs to support all components of the school. Abstract

In terms of learning, motivation is defined as the overall driving force in students to perform a series of learning activities in order to achieve those objectives. Teachers task is motivating the child so that he will do a series of learning activities. High motivation of the students is expected to drive the students interest in learning so that student learning outcomes can be improved.Human resources in this research are8th grade Student at SMP N 1 Pacitan. The objective of this research was to determine: (1) The relationship between learning motivation toward Science Learning Outcomes of 8th grade Student at SMP N 1 Pacitan.. (2) The relationship between student perceptions of teacher performance in managing learning activities toward science learning outcomes of 8th grade Student at SMP N 1 Pacitan. (3) The relationship between learning motivation and student perceptions of teacher performance in managing learning activities toward science learning outcomes of 8th grade Student at SMP N 1 Pacitan.This is quantitative research. Data collection technique used a Likert scale questionnaire. Analysis using correlation analysis techniques and multiple regression analysis with prerequisite test, analysis product moment correlation and multiple regression.The magnitude of the correlation between variables of X1 and Y is equal to 0.503> 0.159. The magnitude of the correlation between variables X2 to Y is equal to 0.394 >0.159.Based on the result of this research can be concluded that there is relationship between students’ learning motivation and teachers performance in learning activities by together towards science learning outcome of student at SMP Negeri 1 Pacitan. Keywords: Motivation, Teacher Performance in Managing Learning Activity, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Many ways done by the government to deal with corruption have not resulted as expected. Dealing with corruption is the responsibility of all citizens whether as an individual or as an organization. One of the preventive ways is by education. Anti-corruption education must be implanted from elementary school to college. Honesty is one of the ways that can be implanted. The habituation of honest attitude can be done by honesty stall. The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the background of the implementation of honesty stall as the implementation of anti-corruption education in SMP Keluarga Kudus (2) to describe how the implementation of honesty stall as the implementation of anti-corruption education in SMP Keluarga Kudus is (3) to describe the obstacles and the efforts in dealing with the obstacles of the implementation of honesty stall as the implementation of anti-corruption education in SMP Keluarga Kudus (4) to describe the result of the implementation of honesty stall as  the implementation of anti-corruption education. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. The research location is in SMP Keluarga Kudus. The data sources are human, event and documents. The techniques of collecting data used in this research are observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis used here are Miles and Huberman’s interactive model with 3 steps namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing.  Results: (1) The background of honesty stall is as the habituation and implant of anti-corruption that has been accepted by the students in anti-corruption education subject. (2) Honesty stall is addressed to all school citizens, selling students’ needs. This honesty stall has no keeper so that students are independent in doing transaction. The roles of homeroom teachers are as facilitators who teach Anti-Corruption Education in the class. The evaluation of honesty stall is done by analyzing the financial report from the organizer and supervised by all school citizens. Honesty stall is maintained and used effectively as a way of implementation of Anti-Corruption Education. (3) The obstacles in implementing honesty stall are; there are some students who are cheating, the organizer still has to teach in the class, and sometimes they feel bored. The ways to deal with these problems are by giving understanding in classroom while having Anti-Corruption Subject and giving information while having flag ceremony on Monday, and encouraging the teachers, each other when they start feeling bored. (4) It can be concluded that honesty stall in SMP Keluarga Kudus has run well because the modal can grow and hold out for seven years.  It can be said that it successfully develops students’ honesty, at least when they study in SMP Keluarga Kudus. Although there are still some obstacles faced such as cheating, the teachers realize that the implant of honesty to the students is not as easy as turning our palm around and the result cannot be seen in short time.Key words: Implementation of Anti-Corruption Education, Honesty Stall.

Abstract

Membaca cepat 250 kata per menit (kpm) dengan metode tri-fokus steve snyder merupakan teknik membaca yang memadukan kemampuan gerak morik (gerakan mata) atau kemampuan visual dengan kemampuan kognitif dalam membaca namun tidak mengesampingkan pemahaman terhadap isi bacaan. Titik konsentrasi pandangan mata saat membaca menggunakan metode tri-fokus steve snyder terpusat pada tiga fokus (tiga bagian) untuk setiap baris, yaitu sebagian dipusatkan di sebelah kiri, sebagian tengah, dan sebagian kanan.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan metode  tri-focus steve snyder  dalam membaca cepat 250 kata per menit (kpm) sebagai upaya meningkatkan keterampilan menyimpulkan isi bacaan pada siswa kelas VIII SMP YPAC Surakarta. (2) Mendeskripsikan besarnya peningkatan keterampilan menyimpulkan isi bacaan dengan membaca cepat 250 kata per menit pada siswa kelas VIII SMP YPAC Surakarta setelah menggunakan metode tri-focus steve snyder.Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII SMP YPAC Surakarta. Sumber data penelitian berasal dari siswa, peristiwa, informan, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi foto. Pengujian validitas data, menggunakan uji instrument yang dikonsultasikan pada pembimbing dan guru bidang studi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu teknik deskriptif presentase dan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa kelas VIII SMP YPAC Surakarta dapat menerapkan pembelajaran membaca cepat 250 kpm dengan menggunakan metode tri-fokus steve snyder. Siswa kelas VIII SMP YPAC Surakarta mengalami peningkatan kemampuan menyimpulkasn isi bacaan dengan membaca cepat 250 kpm menggunakan metode tri-fokus steve snyder. Nilai rata-rata siswa menunjukkan dari pra siklus rata-rata hasil tes siswa memperoleh nilai 54.2 (lima puluh empat koma dua) meningkat menjadi 62.3 (enam puluh dua koma tiga) pada siklus I, dan kembali mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II yaitu dengan rata-rata perolehan nilai 79 (tujuh puluh sembilan).Kata Kunci: Professional Teacher, RSBI.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine: (1) a significant difference in the use of image media and environment media to students’ achievement, (2) a significant difference between high students’ creativity and low students’ creativity to students’ achievement, (3) a significant interaction between the influence of using image media and environment media; and high and lower students’ creativity to students’ achievement in learning Natural Science. Type of the research is experimental. The research was conducted at the state elementary schools in Selogiri district. The population in this study was all the fifth grade elementary school students in the Selogiri district totaling 786 students consisting of 35 elementary schools. Sampling technique used in this study is multi stage cluster random sampling. The research samples were 30 students of SD Negeri Kepatihan as the experimental samples and 30 students of SD Negeri I Pule as the control group. The accuracy and validity of achievement tests were examined by validity test and reliability test. The validity was tested by using the correlation formula of Karl Pearson Product moment and the reliability was tested by using Two Sides formula. The data analysis technique used was the prerequisite test (normality and homogeneity test) and Two Way of Variance Analysis (ANOVA). Based on the result, it can be concluded: (1) there are differences in the influence of the use of image media and environment media on the Natural Science learning achievement of the fifth grade students in the state elementary schools in Selogiri, it can be seen that the proceeds from Fo = 93, 476 > Fo, 05 = 4, 02, (2) There are differences in the influence of high students’ creativity and low students’ creativity on the Natural Science learning achievement of the fifth grade students in the state elementary schools in Selogiri (Fo = 158, 529 > Fo, 05 = 4, 02) and (3) there is an interaction between the influence of using image media and environment media; and high and lower students’ creativity to the students’ achievement in learning Science of the fifth grade students in elementary school in selogiri (Fo – 22, 927 > Fo, 05 = 4, 02).Keywords: environment media, image media, creativity, learning achievement

Abstract

Objectives of the research are 1) to find out which is better, the students’ learning achievement with learning model of Think Pair Share method or conventional learning models, 2) to find out which is better, the student achievement with high motivation or low motivation, 3) to determine the interaction between the think pair share method and motivation toward English learning achievement on State MTs in Kudus Regency. The method in this research used research experiment with 2X2 factorial design. The population is all eighth grade students in the State MTs in Kudus Regency. Research hypothesis test used Two - Way of ANOVA analysis with 2 x 2 ANOVA formulations.The results of research showed that: 1) there are significant differences in the English learning achievement of the group used TPS model and conventional group. Student learning outcomes in English Language subjects with TPS method is better than the students who used conventional methods. 2) There are significant differences in English learning achievement of students in the group with high motivation and a group of students with low learning motivation. Student learning outcomes in English subjects who have a high motivation is better than students who have a low learning motivation. 3) There is interaction between learning method with motivation toward English learning achievement. Learning achievement in English subjects in group used TPS method with high learning motivation has the highest average value, while group with conventional method with low learning motivation has lowest average value. Keywords: Think Pair Share. Abstract

Theresia Setyowati (S.811108049 ) Correlation between Principal’s Leadership and Supervision AND Work Satisfaction of Temporary Teachers in Sidoharjo District, Wonogiri Regency. Thesis. Surakarta: Education Technology Study Program, Graduate Progeam, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, January 2013.The objectives of this study are to investigate the correlation between principal’s leadership style and work satisfaction of temporary teachers in Sidoharjo District, Wonogiri Regency,  to investigate the correlation between principal’s supervision and work satisfaction of temporary teachers in Sidoharjo District, Wonogiri Regency, to investigate the correlation between principal’s leadsership and supervision AND work satisfaction of temporary teachers in Sidoharjo District, Wonogiri Regency.This study used survey method with correlational approach as main investigation method. The population object is temporary teachers in Sidoharjo District, Wonogiri Regency, accounts for 179 teachers. The instrument in this study is data gathering through questionnaire. The validity of the data was ensured using validity and reliability tests. Product moment correlation technique was employed to test the validity, while Alpha Cronbach method was used to ensure data reliability. Pre-requirement tests, i.e. normality test, linearity test, and independent test, were all applied to the data.The results of the study are there is significant correlation between principal’s leadership and work satisfaction of temporary teachers. The correlation coefficient is 0.687, and signifinance t-test yielded a value of 0.000 < 0.0005. This shows there is solid contribution of leadership to work satisfaction of temporary teachers. And there is significant correlation between principal’s supervision and work satisfaction of temporary teachers. The correlation coefficient is 0.420, and signifinance t-test yielded a value of 0.000 < 0.0005. This also displays there is solid contribution of supervision to work satisfaction of temporary teachers. The aforementioned factors contribute significantly to maximal work efforts of temporary teachers.  Keywords: leadership style, supervision, work satisfaction

Abstract

The aims of this research are : (1) to find whether there is the presence or absence of differences influence of learning achievement between students taught by the Make A Match method and students taught by conventional methods and to determine which groups of students are better, (2) whether there is any influence difference of learning achievement between students who have a high independent learning and students who have a low independent learning. And to determine which groups of students are better. (3) to find whether there is the presence or absence of an interaction influence between learning methods and independent learning in relation to student achievement. This is an experimental research. Its population is the students of eight grade of MTs N Kudus. Methods of data collection in this research used the documentation and test methods. Analysis of data used two- way analysis of variance. Based on the analysis and discussion of hypothesis testing can be concluded that: (1) there are significant differences in learning outcomes of Civics Lesson in groups used the Make a Match and conventional methods. Student learning outcomes in Civics lesson with Make a Match method is better than the students who used conventional methods. (2) There are significant differences in the Civics learning outcomes of students with igh independent learning and groups of students with low independent learning. Student learning outcomes in Civics lesson who had a high independent learning better than the students who have a low independent learning. (3) There is interaction betweenlearning method and independent learning towards Civics learning outcomes. Learning achievement in civics lesson in group of Make a Match method with high independent learning had the highest average value, while the conventional method with low independent learning has the lowest average value. The research suggests that it is important for the students to improve their independent learning and a teacher should be able to determine the appropriate learning method for his lesson. A principal should encourage the teachers to improve their teaching competency in choosing teaching methods in the classroom and to conduct other research in related methods of teaching.    Keywords: Cooperative Learning Model of Make A Match Type, Conventional, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh penggunaan metode inquiry dan metode eksperimen terhadap hasil belajar  ditinjau dari keaktifan belajar siswa kelas IV pada mata pelajaran IPA SD Negeri  Dabin V Kec. Purwodadi Kab. Grobogan.Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Candisari  tahun ajaran 2012/2013 yang berjumlah 85 siswa, yang terdiri dari 27 siswa SD Negeri I Candisari  dengan perlakuan metode eksperimen, 30 Siswa dari SD Negeri II Candisari dengan menggunakan metode Inquiry sedangkan untuk kelas Uji coba dari SD Negeri I Genuksuran dengan jumlah Siswa 28. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan tes.Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis kuantitatif.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa metode inquiry dan eksperimen berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar yang di tinjau dari keaktifan belajar siswa kelas IV pada mata pelajaran IPA SD Negeri Dabin V.
