Abstract

This research purpose is to find out: students in the implementation of learning activities using props, the teacher's ability to manage learning using props, presence /absence of an increase in student achievement using props to the concept of environmental changes in the fourth grade elementary school. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. Subjects in this study fourth grade students at the Cape of Good Elementary School as many as 24 people, consisting of 10 men and 14 women. Data analysis using descriptive statistics. Based on the analysis of data obtained: ( a) students in participating in learning activities using props to material changes in the environment saw an increase in cycle 1 with an average score of 64.8%, in the second cycle with an average score of 69.5%, and the third cycle with an average score of 76.3% ; (b) The ability of teachers to manage the learning environment to the material change seen an increase in cycle 1 with an average score of 4.33 with both criteria, the second cycle an average score of 4.68 with both criteria , and the average score of the third cycle 4.97 average with criteria very well and (c) Mastery of environmental change using props to get the value in cycle 1 class average 67.71, cycle II was 73.5 and the third cycle is 80. Improvement has been achieve individual success indicators and classical.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the Perceptions of Students of Class XI IA and XII IS To the interest and cross-interest of Curriculum 2013 at SMAN 4 Banda Aceh which is the sample in this research is 53 students which is a combination of class XI IA and XII IS, qualitative and descriptive analysis that is in the form of a questionnaire consisting of 11 questions that there are 5 items of choice, based on the results of research from the questionnaire distributed shows all the items asked to get good results overall from the question items obtained results of about 73.31% indicates that students' perceptions agree or welcome the interest and cross-interest in the 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of inquiry-based virtual lab laboratiorium to increase student motivation and creativity of students in simple harmonic motion of matter. The method used is the method of the control experiment with the design of the control group pre-test post-test. The study population was all students of class XI-IA, amounting to 180 people, and that the sample is class XI-4 as an experimental class IA and class XI-IA 1 as grade control at the school SMAN 5 Banda Aceh 2013/2014 school year. Data was collected using a form of written test of 20 multiple choice questions about done with the pre-test and post-test, student worksheets and questionnaires motivation and creativity of the student questionnaire. The results showed that the learning is done by using inquiry-based virtual lab laboaratorium. With the practical implementation of inquiry-based virtual laboratory has demonstrated that increasing students creativity in the material simple harmonic motion with mastery of concepts that are at 76.7% category and 23.3% higher category, the practical implementation of inquiry-based virtual laboratory can an increase student motivation in simple harmonic motion of matter. With the mastery of concepts that berkategorikan being, as well as 66% of student motivation is high enough and the remaining 34% is very high motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) Increasing student achievement; 2) Activity of teachers and students; and 3) Skills teachers manage learning through the application of problem based learning using concept maps. Subjects in this study were all students of class VII­­­­­­­­­­­­6 first half SMP Negeri 3 Banda Aceh Academic Year 2008/2009 amounting to 31 people. Objects in this study are problem based learning using a concept map on the material temperature. Data analysis using descriptive statistics and the percentage of mastery learning. Based on the results of research and data analysis can be concluded: 1) The use of problem based learning using concept maps are effective in improving student achievement on the material temperature at SMP Negeri 3 Banda Aceh, this can be seen on an individual basis ranging completeness 85,1%, 85,5% and 86,29%. Completeness in classical ranging 85,08% , 85,48% and 86,29%; 2) the most dominant activity appears teachers are guiding students to make hypotheses, guiding students create concept maps and guide students to discuss. While students most dominant activity is hypothesized appear, make concept maps and discussions; and 3) manage the learning skills of teachers has increased, from the category of good, excellent and good.

Abstract

The Research objectives of this class is to find out the influence of learning by improving skills and the quality by combining the observation-based on experiments in the laboratory, besides the students can develop skills, science process skills, solve problems and improve the interaction of students in the teaching and learning process. This research uses experimental methods consist of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 components such as; planning, implementation measures, observation and reflection. The subject of this research is the grade XI at SMAN 1 Sigli. The research sample was obtained from class XI IPA 5 with 30 students. I the techniques of data collection of tests and observations or observations made objectively against aspects which will be observed in the form of data and information. Data collection tools in the form of a question and observation instrument of sheet. Performance indicators expected results enhanced learning occurred reached 75% for study result. Percentage of class action research on cycle I gained 56,67%, while on cycle II student learning increased to 83,33% for study result.

Abstract

Ability is an internal factors that determine the success of people works. This study aims to determine whether there is a contribution between numerical and spatial abilities of the students' learning success . This study is a preliminary study conducted towards 25 students of class XI SMAN 5 Banda Aceh . Methods of data collection used written test to measure the abilities of numerical and spatial and utilize the documentation to get students’ physics achievement. Data were analyzed using multiple correlation techniques. According to  processing and analysis of research data,then be concluded as following:  numerical ability contributes on Physics achievement; spatial ability contributes on Physics achievement; numerical and spatial abilities contribute to students’ achievement.

Abstract

There are several factors that cause learning physics student achievement scores are low, one of which was the lack of mathematical skills possessed by students. Physics as one of the fields of study abstract is more easily understood and solved the problem when used concepts shaped mathematical physics. In this case the math skills used in solving problems on kinematics material Vector Analysis. In other words, the relationship between mathematical ability and academic achievement of students in solving physics problems on kinematics material Vector Analysis. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mathematical skills with student achievement in problem solving on kinematics material Vector Analysis in SMAN 4 Banda Aceh. The data collection is done by means of documentation and test physics problem. Data analysis using product moment correlation and t-test. The results of data analysis showed prices and t_hitungr_xy = 0.765 = 5.17. At the significant level α = 0.05 with degrees of freedom df = (N-2) = 29, then from the distribution list obtained t_tabel t = 2.09. Can be explained that Ho is rejected if t_hitungt_tabel (5.17 2.09) and Ha accepted. Thus, there is a significant positive relationship between mathematical ability and academic achievement of students in solving problems on kinematics material Vector Analysis in SMAN 4 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the difference in the refractive index of bulk cooking oil with Sunco branded bottled cooking oil. The data collection was done by measuring the refractive index of cooking oil using refraction method. Data analysis was performed by finding the average price index of refraction of each type of cooking oil. The results of the study explained that Sunco cooking oil refractive index greater than that of bulk cooking oil so it can be concluded that the branded cooking oil Sunco has the most excellent quality.

Abstract

Research on the Application of Media Virtual Laboratory Phet To Improve Learning Outcomes Physics At Students In SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh aims to determine: (1) the activities of teachers and students, (2) the skills of teachers in managing learning, (3) the results of student learning and (4) the students' responses to the use of Virtual Laboratory PhET media in the learning process. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK) and the approach used in this research is descriptive statistical approach where the data obtained are then processed using statistical methods and explain again using the word. The subjects were students of class X-IA5 SMAN 5 Banda Aceh the school year 2014/2015, amounting to 32 students. Data collection instruments used in research that observation sheets, tests and questionnaires were analyzed using analysis of all three percentages. The results showed (1) an increase in activity of teachers and students during the learning process, (2) an increase in teachers' skills in managing the learning of the category is becoming a very good (3) the percentage of completeness individual as a whole increased from cycle 1 to cycle 3 is 70% , 79% and 95%, and the percentage of the overall classical ketuntasanan also increased 65%, 80% and 91%. (4) The students' responses tend to be positive where 95% of students said he was happy to use this PhET Virtual Laboratory media in learning. From this research it can be concluded that the application of Virtual Laboratory PhET media can improve student learning outcomes on the subject of Ohm's law. It is recommended that research using Virtual Laboratory PhET media can proceed on other relavan material physics and not only at the high school level but also at the SMP so that the conclusions can apply more generative.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: a) the activities of teachers and students; b) the ability of teachers to manage teaching and learning; c) the response of teachers and students to use KIT KBM physics and (d) an increase in student achievement by using KIT physics concept of direct current electrical circuit. The subjects in this reasearch is class XII-IA-1 SMA Negeri 4 Banda Aceh with the number of students 32 student. Data analysis using descriptive analysis is the percentage (%). Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded: (a) Activities of teachers is the most dominant discuss experimental results (15.55%), guiding students conduct experiments (15.18%), guiding students summed up the results of experiments (11.48%). While the most prominent activity is conducted experiments (25.40%), ask questions/express ideas (13.83%), and express opinions / ideas (13.66%). This is in accordance with the steps in the use of KIT physics; (b) The ability of teachers to manage learning using physics KIT categorized quite good; (c) The response of students to use the device and learning physics KIT is 89.6% of students interested in participating in further learning activities and (d) use the KIT physics learning can improve student achievement on the concept of direct current electrical circuit by 82%. This shows that in general the students have to know and understand the concept of direct current electrical circuits by using KIT teaching physics.
