Abstract

In South Sumatra, especially in Palembang, total passengers of air transport increased annually. The infrastructure of airfield must be improved, the needed of extension of landing and take-off area aircraft. This research includes the "Analysis of Thickness and Extension of Runway at The International Airport of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II". Ability of runway can serve the maximum aircraft type is the Airbus 320. Based on the the calculation results, the length of corrected Runway 11 is 3828 m and the length of corrected Runway 29 is 3822 m. From the data has been analyzed, pavement thickness with graphic using the FAA method, a thickness of surface layer is 12.7 cm, a thickness of base layer is 12.7 cm, and a thickness of subbase layer is 58.42 cm. While, the pavement thickness with analytical using the CBR method, a thickness of surface layer (asphalt) is 10 cm, a thickness of base layer (crush stone base) is 21 cm, and a thickness of gravel subbase layer is 53 cm. In the analysis, the total of aircraft movements per year in 2017 is 34022. The total of aircraft movements per month in 2017 are January 2758, February 2774, March 2789, April 2804, May 2819, June 2835, July 2850, August 2865, September 2881, October 2896, November 2911, and December 2927.Key Words : length of corrected runway, pavement thickness, total of aircraft movements, runway

Abstract

In actual field case, research about ground water flow is difficult to carry aout, for this reason ground water head and characteristics is studied  through ground water hydraulic model at laboratory. The research conducted was about ground water hydraulic modeling at Laboratory by using Ground Water Flow Apparatus. Two Sand samples were  used . The hydraulic head was measured and compared with calculated one. The result showed that average absolute error was 0.0014 for model I, 0.003 for model II, 0,005 for model III on 1st soil sample and 0,0010 for model I, 0,0008 for model II and 0,0003 for modekl III. The hydraulic conductivity was tested by using Constant Head Permeameter resulted in hydraulic conductivity 0,0052 cm/second for sample 1, 0,001723 m/second and 0,001723 cm/second for sample 2.   Keywords : ground water, hydraulic conductivity, absolute error.

Abstract

Utilization of industrial soil waste or secondary materials has encouraged in construction field for the production of concrete because it contribute to reducing the consumption of natural resources. Copper slag is one of the materials that is considered as a waste from PT. Smelting Gresik Company which could have a promising future in construction Industry as partial aggregates. Many researchers have already found it possible to use copper slag as a concrete aggregate. But not much research has been carried out in Indonesia concerning as a replacement for sand in concrete mixes. This paper presents the results of an experimental study on copper slag as a replacement for sand in concrete mixes for fc'18,675 MPa in Cylinder 15 cm x 30 cm by SNI 03-2834-2000 Standard. The effect of replacing fine aggregate by copper slag on the compressive strength is attempted in this work. The percentage replacement of sand by granulated copper slag were 0%, 10%, 20%,3 0% and 35%. The compressive strength was observed to increase by about 10-35% from normal concrete. The experimental investigation showed that percentage replacement of sand by copper slag shall be up to 30%. Keywords : Copper Slag, Compressive Strenght,  Partial Replacement of Sand, Concrete

Abstract

The construction in Indonesia has expanded into high-level buildings that require a stable structure, strong enough, capable of serviceability and durability such as those held by the steel structure. However, Indonesia is also a country that has a high intensity earthquake. The earthquake caused storey structure is vulnerable to the occurrence of drift. One method to reduce is by installing of shearwall. Building models are analyzed in terms of 5-shaped building with 5 floors. The measure of building plan is 43,5m x 33m and height is 3,5m. The Function of the building used as dormitory of sriwijaya university. Calculation of structural analysis using SAP 2000 software v.14 in three-dimensional model. The results of this analysis is to know the dimensions, reinforcement plate shear walls and floors. This research produced the conclusion that the the conclusion that in the calculation of the dimensions of the structures obtained dormitory floor slab thickness of 17 cm, and a thickness shear walls and 30 cm. From the result of the calculation have been done, the first until the tenth designs of load combination have their own strength and weakness from several aspect which were being research. Abstract

Traffic accidents is instances where a motor vehicle collides with another object and cause damage . traffic accidents is a thing to be avoided by all road users , but sometimes the traffic accident took place instantaneously tibakarena poor road infrastructure or due to negligence of road users themselves . There are three types of injuries suffered by the victim that the victim died of accidents , severe injuries , and minor injuries . Previous research analyzing accident-prone locations using the frequency method in analyzing blackspot determined by the lane per kilometer . After processing the data the importance of the factors that influence the occurrence of accidents such as age , gender , occupation , time , and estimated losses suffered by accident victims . Based on the factors of age , 20% of riders are children under the age ( less than 17 years old ) who do not have a driving license as the cause of the accident . While based on the gender factor involved most of the accidents are men who generally drive a motor vehicle with an average of 83.98 %. Private employees with a percentage of 38.1 % with the highest percentage of the type of work involved in the accident. Blackspot is the location where the accident-prone locations on the site of an accident over and over again. Over a period of three years (2010-2012) the total losses caused by traffic accidents in Kayu Agung city is Rp 3,881,650,000 , -

Abstract

Lilin river has high economic valute. The function of this river as a connection between mainland. The purpose of this analysis is to find out the result of sedimentation happened in the edge Lilin river for sediment capacity bed load or basic of sediment. Sediment is pleces of materials, in general consist of rocks it is physically and chemically. Basic capacity (bed load) is particle that move in the base river. Situation of basic capacity always move, because of it along the base river always happen degradation and agradation process called as “alterasi base river” in research methodology use method dorect obseruation and the aspect is the buildup of sludge at Lilin river. The way to sediment is take the sample directly. The tools that used to take the sample were gauge, staff gauge, water dipper, wood and scoop. Analysis was used shear stress approach is Duboy’s and Shield’s approach, then energy slope is Meyer Peter and Miiller’s approach. Based on calculation bed load discharge by using 3 methods, there are Duboy’s, Shiled’s and Meyer Peter miiller’s. Then the result of calculation discharge for 1 year at Lilin river by using Duboy’s method has value qb was 6,83x105 (lb/thn/ft), Shield’s method has value qb was 8,33x10 5 (lb/thn/ft) and then qb by using Meyer-Peter and Miiller’s was 4,99x10 7 (lb/thn/ft). for calculate the volume of sediment at edge Lilin river was value of qb by using Duboy’s method was 267,42(lb/thn/ft), Shield’s method was 219,36 (lb/thn/ft), Meyer-Peter and Miiller’s was 36603,26 (lb/thn/ft), then dredging could be done suitable with the volume of sediment that has been calculated. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how great the average erosion has done in a year, the wide field per hectare that happened in watershed Dawas. Together with increasing public requisites of the population people consequence. The field requisites for increasing agriculture and the advantage field in roundabout watershead Dawas that more increase. Calculation of the magnitude of this erosion using Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) method. This research began with analyze in several factors which has become attect erosion as rain fall (R), the kind of soil to secure of the soil erodibility (K), to figure out of the sloping valley factors (LS), and the field processing and the plant processing (CP). Based on the analysis has done with Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) method, the total average erotion in watershed  Dawas area is 25,6826 ton/ha/yr with the clasification of the light erotion. Abstract

Pendesrians bridge are the alternative facilities for pedestrians, due facilitate pedestrians crossing the highway without disrupting the smooth traffic flow. Pendesrians bridges can be found in big cities, like Palembang city. The purpose of this study is to knowing and analyze the effective and the factors that affect the use of Pendesrians briges by pedestrians. Researchers did a comparison on three bridges, Jenderal Sudirman street, Brige A in front of Maraton shopping at International Plaza shopping area, Bridge B in front of the Shopiemartin store, and Bridge C next to Masjid Agung Palembang at 16 Ilir shopping market area. This study starts from the literature study, geometrical collection and data pedestrian traffic. Data processing is performed to determine the effectiveness of the pedestrian bridge and the Analytical Hierarchy Process ( AHP ) to determine the order of the factors that affect the use of the pedestrian bridges and pedestrian bridges sequence is most frequently used by pedestrians. In the analysis results to the effectiveness of pedestrian bridges, to Bridge A, Bridge B and Bridge C are 95.84%. The results of the analysis from 100 respondents indicated that the main factors influencing the selection of the use of the pedestrian bridges security 35.95 % and comfort 29.06 %. whereas in terms of technical criteria, width of the bridge 33% and security posts 28%.

Abstract

Concrete is a construction material that is widely used in building structures work in Indonesia because of the many benefits provided such as its constituent materials are easy to obtain, easy to set up, able to carry a heavy burden, resistant to high temperatures, and small maintenance cost. Various research efforts have been made in order to make progress in concrete technology due to the limited availability of material using other similar materials that reduce the use of cement. Efforts are made to the terms of the utilization of copper slag from P.T. Smeltng Gresik. Steps being taken in this research is the study of literature, material preparation and testing materials at the Concrete and Materials Laboratory, Department of Civil Engineering Faculty of Engineering, University of Sriwijaya. Then proceed with the manufacture of cylindrical specimen measures 15cm x 30cm with a variety of copper slag reimbursement by 0%, 10 %, 15%, 20% and 30% of the partial cement that is was used to planning the compressive strength of fc’ 18,675, and then testing concrete compressive strength From the analysis it can be concluded that The results showed that copper slag as a cementitious can have a positive impact on the quality of concrete , namely the variation of 15 % copper slag increased optimum compressive strength (20,06 %) compared to concrete without using a variation of copper slag.

Abstract

Palembang city as we know it, has been growing rapidly in many aspects, catching up with today's globalized world. Together with this growth, comes a wider variety of public's choice on transportation mode to facilitate their movement from one place to another. Public transports such as angkot, buses, taxis as well as private cars and motorcycles. With Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, it will be easier to determine the rank of factors that affect the choices of mode as well as to test its sensitivity. Out of 400 responses received, the main factor that affects public's choice on transportation mode is security, which comprises 30% of the total response. 35,5% chooses private cars, making it the main choice. The sensitivity test result has shown that changes in every criteria will change accordingly the graph of other criteria.
