Abstract

In line with regional authonomy, an authonomy in education through the concept of decentralisation has become a national agenda. In effect, this requires serious attention from the local government. In this era, local government, which has a strong political will to implement an authonomy in education, will be able to improve the quality of education independently. This, in turn, will support local development which is relevant with local needs and potentials. Otherwise, the local government, that is not concerned with this issue, will be reluctant in improving the quality of education. Abstract

One of the operational components of Islamic education as a system is education material that is the entire learning materials taught to students in the Institutional System of Education. Education material, which is more popularly called curriculum, will continually change because of the change and development of thought of human beings. Therefore, to anticipate the change, a skill in curriculum development is extremely needed. In other words, the Islamic Education Institution must be able to anticipate the problem without forgetting the essence of the Islamic teachings themselves. Within this context, the main aspect that must be paid close attention to in designing the Islamic education institution is to make a change in cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects amongst students.Kata Kunci : falsafah kurikulum, pendidikan Islam

Abstract

This article deals with Tafsîr al-Azhâr from biographical and methodological perspectives employing historical method. Hamka started writing this Tafsîr al-Azhâr  in 1959 than convoyed it as a down lecture in the Mosque of al-Azhâr. He completed the writing of this book of al-tafsîr when he was  being jailed. This book of al-tafsîr consists of thirty chaptersl. After analyzing the contents of the book of al-tafsîr, the writer found that Hamka employed rational method with literature and social patterns based on the school of Islamic orthodoxy and Islamic free act.Kata Kunci:    Hamka, Tafsîr al- Azhâr, tafsir bi al-matsur,  tafsir bi al-ray, metode tahlilî,  corak penafsiran adabî, corak penafisran ijtimâ’î

Abstract

In  psychological point of view, whatever occurs in an adult is influenced by his or her life condition in his or her adulthood, particularly in the first years of his or her age. The offspring and milieu give a major influence to the formation of  attitude and of behavior of a child. A child’s personality will be positive whenever he is in a healthful family and social milieu. It is the two that form the healthful personality of the child. The healthful personality, in psychological point of view, is one that can manage himself, others and his milieu. Healthful personality in relation to oneself, possesses ten characteristics; that in relation to other people, possesses two characteristics; This article deals the comparison between  healthful personality from the view of psychology and that of the Qur’an.Kata Kunci:  pribadi sehat, konsep konseling, konsep Alquran

Abstract

The protection of human rights is one the basic issues which should be paid much more attention, particularly by the state, since if it is neglected, the human’s dignity will be deteriorated. In this case, the Indonesian government has established a regulation on this issue, such as KHI (The Codification of Islamic Laws). However, among the articles of the KHI, there are also some rules, which legitimize gender inequality. Therefore, the KHI should be revised.Kata Kunci: Hukum perkawinan, Kompilasi Hukum Islam

Abstract

One of the Indonesian Muslims’ attempts to empower the Islamic society in the aspect of economy is to establish Islamic bank.  The purpose of this bank is to enhance the prosperity of the Islamic society who does not wish to use conventional banks employing interest system. The reason is that bank interest, according to them, is identical to riba. Abstract

Abortion is one of the contemporary law problems frequently debated. In Indonesia, abortion is not only a law problem but also a moral problem. Posing abortion within the law and moral perspective bocomes important since it is related to the law  dealing with the termination of a child’s right to life. This article deals with the status of  abortion within the Islamic law and moral perspective, employing the method of fiqh al-muqârin (comparative fiqh), that is by comparing and conforming the ikhtilâf of abortion amongst the jurists (fuqahâ’). After analyzing the jurists’ opinions of abortion, the writer found that since sperms and ovums come together and pertlization occurs, abortion is judged as a crime, and therefore the law status of which is proscribed.Kata Kunci:  aborsi, hukum Islam, moral

Abstract

Kufr is often considered an antithesis of imân. In the mean time, imân is the fundamental part of Islamic teaching. Nevertheless, as far as the sources of Islamic teaching are concerned, the term kufr cannot  necessarily be grasped  as  disbelief in Allah (God). In  some  hadîths (the prophet’s traditions), we find some terms of kufr that do not indicate disbelief in Allâh at all. Even, some merely indicate disobedience of the Muslims in performing their Islamic teachings, such as   performing salât. Abstract

Jihâd  is one of the Islamic main terms which is frequently misunderstood by the group of non Muslims. They tend to perceive jihâd as a holy war against the disbelievers. Based on this, to them, jihâd is identical to violence. The question is wither Islam truly a religion of violence?, or it is only a misunderstanding towards jihâd in Islam. It is true that the term jihâd possesses a significant position among the Muslims that many of them  devote themselves to God by jihâd. Abstract

The i’jâz of the Qur’an, which scholars define as the idea that the Qur’an constitutes something exceeding the customary, associated with challenge (tahaddî) and yet free from opposition, has received much attention from classical times to the modern era. Scholars have tried to determine what aspects of the Qur’an constitute i’jâz. Some of them have argued that language structure is an aspect of its i’jâz; some have pointed out that another aspect of i’jâz is the information provided about concealed events, including the stories about previous prophets and information about future events. Nevertheless, for the purpose of this article, the writer will discuss three aspects of i’jâz of the Qur’an only.Kata Kunci: i’jâz, kemukjizatan Alquran, mukjizat kebahasaan, mukjizat peristiwa masa lampau
