Abstract

Inviting people to perform the good deeds is one of the Islamic core teachings. For this reason, a da’wah should be delivered by employing a proper approach. In other words, a dâ’i should notice the social and cultural condition of the people as the target of his da’wah. Within this context, one of the approaches that can be employed in delivering a da’wah is cultural approach. Employing this kind of approach, a dâ’i will be able to promote the Islamic teaching as a social and cultural need of the Muslims. In addition, cultural approach is persuasive in nature, that is transforming the values of the Qur’an and the prophet’s tradition into ideas and deeds in the form of norms.Kata Kunci : dakwah,  pendekatan kultural, penyebaran Islam

Abstract

To earn a good quality of Islamic education, a planner should perform a good planning. Planning will be helpful to the planner in directing his managerial objectives. In fact, planning can determine the profile of an organization that can make it professional. Abstract

This paper deals with Abou El Fadl’s hermeneutical-authoritative concept. The hermeneutical athouritative emerges as an anti-thesis to all authoritative-interpretative concepts in Islamic thought. The authoritative- interpretative concept established on God’s name interpretation. Abstract

Spain or Andalusia in the context of classical Islam was   one of the provinces of Umayyah Dynasty I or Eastern Amawiyyah. Then it turned into an autonomy dynasty called Daulah Bani Umayyah II or Western Umayyah and separated from Abbasiyyah Dynasty. In the matter of education and science/knowledge development, Western Amawiyyah had been succeeded in competing the brightness of Abbasiyyah Dynasty of Baghdad. Philosophy, science encompassing medicine, surgery, pharmacy, astronomy, mathematics, chemistry, music, etc. were developed at this time. The influence of Islamic sciences on Europe and Western countries had been lasting since 12th A.D century, and brought about the reawakening movement (renaissance) in Europe at 14th A.D century through the Arabic language translations into Latin language.Kata Kunci:    peradaban Islam, perdaban Barat, Dinasti Umayyah, Dinasti Abbasiyyah, pendidikan, ilmu pengetahuan

Abstract

Discourse on islamization of knowledge essentially emerges from the serious concern to the failure of modern sciences to “give welfare to humanity”. The basic problem is rooted in the philosophical framework behind modern sciences that science is free-value in that science is purely for science itself regardless of its impacts to humanity and environment. This in turn paves a way to sciences to go further without any impediment, or even without any purpose except for science itself. As a result, nature and humanity are exploited on behalf of science. Therefore, it is necessary to restore science into its proper position. Islam as a religion, which gives serious concern to knowledge and science, has views of knowledge and sciences which are different from a secular concept of science. Abstract

This article elaborates the probelms of undersatanding the material of Islamic learning popularly known as fiqh, which is regarded less dinamical and less responsive to the change of time. Therefore, fiqh is very important to discuss since nowadys it is faced with the methodology of its implementation, that its infiteness between legal dictum having been formulated by claasical Muslim scholars with condition and legal probelms of their own as well as justice sense of Muslim society where the law was implemented. This article elaborates reason activities to understand and to prove a reason truth. Philosophers always endeavor to use their reasons to obtain a truth through revelation so that a rational and scientific truth can be obtained. It is within this context that to understand revelation, reason is needed to prove the truth. Human relation in a contemporary management, which places human beings in a proportional position, is so important that it should be paid serious attention. In Islamic perspective, human relation also emphasizes human beings as the most honored creatures who have various rights and obligations which must be complied with and respected. Its ultimate goal is to create the spirit of Islamic fraternity.
