Abstract

Ibn Hazm is one of Muslim thinkers who is famous for his philosophical thoughts. One of his philosophical thoughts is concerned with epistemology of science. In his view, the truth of science can be obtained through reason and senses.  Senses can comprehend the real objects while reason comprehend the abstract ones. He asserts, however, that reason faculty is higher than sense faculty since the later usually makes mistakes in understanding an object. Abstract

Prior to 1990s, the major cause of death is a cute disorder such as tuberculosis, small fox, leprosy and various infections convinced to be brought about by viruses and bacteria. Therefore, to cure them, the procedure used is more oriented to the use of medicines. It is true that by using medicine, those kinds of diseases can be minimized. However, in later decades, some diseases such as skin cancer, diarrhea and vomiting are convinced by experts as being caused not only by viruses and bacteria but also by behavioral forms of an individual himself. This article discusses the effort to develop healthy behaviors through a social learning theory approach.   Kata Kunci: Perilaku sehat, social learning theory

Abstract

This paper deals with the hermeneutical approach to the Quran and its relation to Islamic education. It is argued that hermeneutic assumes the relativity of any interpretation since it has been influenced by different context and environments— be they social, cultural, or political—that surround the interpreter. Therefore, Islamic education, which associated with the interpretation of the Quran and the Prophetic traditions as primary sources, should be reinterpreted according to modern demands based on moral values or ideal morals which become the spirit of revelation of the text.Kata Kunci: hermeneutika, kajian Alquran, pendidikan Islam

Abstract

In the Islamic world, in the middle age, the ideas on reformation and the efforts of purification of akîdah had  emerged. This was a reaction against the extant political condition and tauhid comprehension of Muslims. In  Arab, a chief figure, Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhâb who possessed a great concern towards the matter of akîdah purification of Muslims and Islamic reformation, emerged. The efforts of al-Wahhâb finally developed into a movement called the Wahabiyyah Movement. The main target of this movement was to purify Muslims’ akîdah that had been mixed with heretics. Abstract

The philosophy of Islamic education plays a vital role in guiding the general objective of education and directing Islamic education as well in order that the curriculum, which consists of values, can be in line with the universally accepted truth. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate attending skill in counseling and quranic verses. This study was conducted employing descriptive-qualitative method. The data were collected from written sources and quarnic verses through five phases (1) analyzing theory, (2) collecting apparopriate quranic verses, (3) classifying relevant quranic  verses, (4) doing discussion; and (5) drawing conslusion. The results of this study indicated that from 27 quranic verses studied, there were six verses relevant to the concept of attending skill in counseling; two  verses relevant enough; seven verses lack of relevance; and twelve verses irrelevant.Kata Kunci:  attendind skill, konseling, ayat  Alquran

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the perception of Muslim society of Palu  to  dhakâh. The method employed in this reserach was qualitative one. The teachniques of data collection employed was observation, interview and questionaire. The results of this research indicated that most of  Muslims of   Palu  percieved dhakâh as being an indivudual ibâdah so that they preferred distributing their dhakâh  individually to distributing it through  the BAZ (The Office of Collector and Distributor of Alms-Giving). The BAZ of  Palu could not be optimally managed because of (1) the lack of human resources; (2) the lack of Muslims’ knowledge of Palu about the essence of dhakâh, and (3) the ineffectiveness of dhakâh management of  the BAZ of Palu.Kata Kunci: persepsi, masyarakat muslim,  zakat,  Badan Amil Zakat

Abstract

In essence, dakwah means calling people to return to the right path in order that a morally good community is established. In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to come up with the excellent concept of dakwah, which is supported by its integrated elements. In terms of concept, dakwah should be seen as information, propagation, education and introduction. Abstract

According to historical record, qiraah al-Quran, had existed since the revelation of the Quran. Nevertheless, not until the early second century of Hijriyah did its distribution to various other parts of the Islamic world  begin. The qiraath was taught   from generation to generation till the epoch of Imam of qir’ah.  Majmaul Buhus (Research Institute) of Al-Azhar, Cairo, in its congress dated 20-27th  April, 1971, had decided that qiraah al-Quran was  tauqifiy (Devine ordain) deriving from ruwat al-mutawatirah. For this reason, the congress recommended that the Islamic states not recite the Quran using one kind of qira’ah only, that is riwayat hafsh version. The purpose was to preserve other qiraah  from its extinct.Kata Kunci: Riwayat warsy, qiraah al-Qur’an, farsyul huruf
