Abstract

The role of tires on motor vehicles is very important, and very useful for reducing vibrations caused by road surface. Tires are the components of a vehicle that is in direct contact with the road. When we are driving a vehicle, the tires will also protect the wheel from wear and damage, as well as provide stability between the vehicle and the condition of the road surface to increase speed and facilitate the movement or friction between the tirewith the road surface. Tires are one component of a vehicle that has a very vital function, in addition to controlling direction of the vehicle tires also functioned as penaggung vehicle weight including passengers it greatlyaffects the stability and performance of the tire during use so that the required accuracy in the selection of tires for vehicles. The study entitled "Analysis of theEffect of Shape traction Tread Pattern Of Ban On Asphalt Road Surface", formulated problem of how to influence the form of the tread pattern of thetire grip on the asphalt road and fuel consumption on a motorcycle. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the tread pattern of the tire grip on the asphalt surface and determinehow much influence the fuel consumption in the engine capacity of 110cc motorcycles bertrasmisi manual. This study uses a friction test on the tread pattern to the conduct performed by the run the vehicle up to speed past a predetermined total braking. Based on the analysis carried actual data, obtained the conclusion that the effect of the tread pattern using the same two types of tire that is bias-type braking distance cruiser get good results and stable use se30 corsa tires compared with nr72 irc tires.

Abstract

This paper presents a decision model for technical solution options on building system selection. There are many studies on design decision making using multicriteria, such as in assessment of exterior building wall system; selection of steel structure; structural alternatives of prefabricated concrete and metal clad; and roof system selection. The characteristic of value criteria has not been widely used to previous research. Existing models that are commonly accepted are optimization-based models, for example aggregation methods, but these are not able to solve the problem of value criteria on design decision. The model is based on a satisficing function/cost preferences. It is multi-attribute, and the environment is in a Value Management (VM) process. Since “value” is the main single objectives for the decision model of VM, the attributes for this decision model therefore is function and cost. This also provides the method to construct the Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis for the cost attributes and the Function Analysis System Technique (FAST) for the function attributes. This research applies the satisficing game method where function and cost of solution techniques for a building system is formulated and the reduction of the technical solutions based on function/cost preferences can be made. Therefore solving the problem on computerizing the creativity of human/decision participant helps to elaborate on every possibility of the technical solutions and reduce them before choosing the best solution

Abstract

hydroponic cultivation technique has been widely used by farmers in Indonesia, especially for growing vegetables. Cultivation of plants hydroponically has several advantages such as: (1) does not require a large area and treatment more practical and thus require less labor, (2) to use fertilizers more efficiently, (3) the plant grow more rapidly and success is assured, (4) planting can be done continuously without depending on the season, (5) can be scheduled so that harvesting can produce crops continuously, and (6) the selling price is more expensive hydroponic vegetables (Lingga, 2005). Hydroponics is the cultivation of plants using water as raw material to support the growth of these plants. For a plant good growth hence the need for adequate nutrition needs. The nutrients can be mixed into the water so that the spread of nutrients to be evenly distributed and easily for dissolved. In addition to nutritional factors that can affect the growth of the well can also be affected by the EC (Electro Conductifity), pH, and temperature environment. All three of these factors can be detected by the sensor, the sensor is controlled by a microcontroller Arduino Uno. Microcontroller function to input signals from the sensors enter the EC, pH, and temperature and then the microcontroller to process the input to generate output results. In the hydroponic system has a model in the planting system that is one which will focus on the study authors used a model NFT (Nutrient Film Technique). NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) is a model of hydroponic cultivation with plant roots lay in a shallow layer of water. To be circulated water and nutrients needed by plants. Rooting can thrive in the nutrient solution. Because there rooting around the layer of nutrient solution, then the system is known by the name of the movie nutrient technique (NFT) (Lingga, 2011). Planting hydroponics has aspects that must be considered such as the type of plant, ambient temperature, ph, nutrients that are suitable for use and EC (Electro Conductifity)these aspects should be in accordance with the plant whatever, which is suitable to be planted simultaneously when viewed from the EC, pH, temperature , Hence the need for recommendation systems

Abstract

As maritime state, most of Indonesian reside in coastal areas or estuaries, leading sanitation and water supply a major concern of the people. The use of groundwater with considerably limited amount is more limited due to seawater intrusions. On the other side, surplus of freshwater from upstream is very abundant near the estuaries. However, morphological condition of river downstream or in estuaries with huge dimension and depth causes expensive cost in order to utilize freshwater in estuaries. One of the solutions to utilize water downstream or near estuaries as raw water for clean water is to build free intakes around river estuaries. However, as the utilizing proceeding, it is found a problem that intake capacity is far below their design capacity. The research is an experimental research conducted in the laboratory which aimed to investigate the relationship of flow velocity distribution on no free intake and with free intake condition and its influence to the capacity of free intake structures.  The result shows that either on no free intake and with free intake condition minimum velocity occurs around channel bed and increasing upright and decreasing again when approaching surface of the channel. The positioning of intake pipe is highly influencing intake capacity. Maximum condition is achieved when intake pipe is positioned on channel bed and near channel surface while minimum condition is achieved when pipe is around middle part of the channel. Keywords—Free intake: velocity distribution: intake capacity.

Abstract

In some circumstances, sometimes people are faced with several options. Such as selecting school, choose a subject, choose a place of residence, employment and others. Determining the choice was not easy, making indecisive and difficult to take decisions. And sometimes people pay less attention to the positive and negative impacts in making a decision, as well as the lack of attention to aspects or essential criteria required. Moreover, if the wrong decision, can be bad for the man himself. Therefore, it is necessary Decision Support Systems. Decision Support System (DSS) or Decision Support System (DSS) is a system that can provide problem-solving ability and the ability of communicating to a problem with the condition of semi-structured and unstructured. This system is used to assist decision-making in situations of semi-structured and unstructured situations, where no one knows for sure how the decision should be made (Turban, 2001). The method used by the author in the Decision Support System is a method Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS)

Abstract

Kota Karang Village and Kota Karang Raya Village are two urban villages located in the coastal city of Bandar Lampung and are vulnerable to tsunami threats. The tsunami threat comes from the possible subduction of the Indo Australia Plate and the Eurasian Plate as well as the volcanic activity of Mount Anak Krakatau. The two villages are inhabited by 16.726 people with a high density of 29.344 people per km2 and occupy an area of 0,57 km2 with an average height of 10 meters. The dense population and moderate contours left both villages potentially causing casualties in the event of a tsunami disaster. Therefore, a study on the optimization of the tsunami evacuation route in both urban villages is needed. The method used in this research is to conduct a review of the tsunami evacuation route through analysis of population data and topographic data which will then become evacuation simulation input using Evacuware software. The data included in the form of population data by sex and age and topographic data in the form of situation map and evacuation route map. The simulation is done with two scenarios, the first scenario uses two Temporary Evacuation Sites namely Mount Mastur and Dwipangga Park. The second scenario conducted by placing four additional vertical shelter using three reconstructed primary schools and one reconstructed community health center
