Abstract

Bunches of fresh fruit brought to the boiling station ( sterilizer ) by using lorries . Work environment changing and dynamic loading causes a decrease in the performance of a lorry wheel bearing causing damage to the average Lori damage after operating for 250 hours ( 31 days of production ) with the same form of damage . To find the cause of the damage done testing includes a visual examination , Fraktografi , hardness , metallographic and chemical composition . Makrofraktografi of testing showed damage the ball bearing on the runway outside the outer runway preceded by experienced chipped with fatigue fracture surface shape with a length of 26 mm , followed by static fracture ( sudden ) due to compressive load

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the design and costs required to implement the tower foundation construction and foundation type to vary the diameter and depth of the foundation. It is expected that this study will provide benefits in the selection of the type and design of tower foundations on different types of soil in the city of Pekanbaru so as to provide a reference for implementing the field.The foundation of the tower there are 3 analyzed the foundation of the palm, bored pile foundation and pile foundation. In order to get the optimal type of foundation, each foundation is divided into 3 alternatives. For the palm foundation foundation depth of 2.2 m is restricted, 2.0 m and 1.8 m. Limited bored pile foundation with a diameter of 0.4 m, 0.5 m and 0.6 m. While the pile foundation used a pole with side length 0.2 m, 0.25 m and 0.3 m. Based on the analysis of alternative variations of alternative technical foundation that provides optimum strength with economical cost estimation.

Abstract

In this study, waste of bagasse and wood charcoal was converted into charcoal briquettes to be used as an alternative fuel. The bagasse and wood charcoal were selected as raw material to produce briquette due to these two materials was abundantly available and because they have not been used in any application. Moreover, the use of them as briquette and alternative energy will reduce the accumulation of waste that causes environmental pollution. Analysis of proximate test and heating value test showed that the percentage of moisture content of bagasse briquettes withdammar as adhesive is 3.36 to 1.47%, the amount of volatile matter is 36.91 to 30.15%, the ash content is 8.05 to 6.10 % and heating value is 3683.68 to 4520.88 kJ / kg. As for the charcoal briquettes was obtained that percentage of moisture content is 3.25 to 1.36 %, content of volatile matter is 34.55 to 26.53%,ash content is 6.36 to 5.37%, and heating value is 3934.84 to 5274.36kJ/kg.

Abstract

One of the success factors in the construction of the road is a road construction material available qualified technical specifications. Road construction materials in question are aggregated. In addition, the material can be added to the asphalt mixture can form filler that serves as filler. Rice husk ash as waste burning brick able to provide alternative opportunities as an ingredient in asphalt mixtures, as rice husk ash are often found in areas Banyumas.This study aims to determine the permeability properties of a mixture of Hot Rolled Sheet Wearing Course ( HRS - WC ). Permeability is one of the parameters to measure the ability of the asphalt pavement structure that can withstand water seepage damage the asphalt pavement layers. The smaller the value of the permeability of asphalt pavement structure, the more durable the strength of the pavement layers. In the future, besides being able to deliver more value to the utilization of waste rice husk ash, rice husk ash utilization is also expected to increase the permeability of the mixture HRS - WC.

Abstract

Has researched on the influence of grain size of the alloy magnetic coercivity FeSi (Si = 3.2 at%). FeSi alloy (Si = 3.2 at%) was prepared by means of arc melting furnace. To vary the size of the grains, the alloy is annealed in a vacuum at temperatures 800oC for 30, 60 and 90 minutes. The images obtained by micro-grain size on average between 0.337 ± 0.045 mm to 0.427 ± 0.045 mm. XRD results showed that the alloy has been annealed have a higher peak intensity, FWHM width is smaller than the non-annealed alloy. Hysteresis loop of the VSM (vibrating sample magnetometer) was obtained between the coercivity (1.04 ± 0.01) x 103 up to (1.07 ± 0.01) x 103 A / m. The greater the correlation obtained grain size, the smaller coercivity with the coercivity function gain grain size is Hc (A / m) = 0.98 x 103 + 0.03 / D.

Abstract

Air conditioning for the building to be used as a car showroom in Jakarta is one thing that is needed to provide comfort and freshness to the workers so that the quality and quantity of work produced optimal . The cooling load can be influenced by various factors , among others : the weather , the condition of the building , the building volume , the shape of the building structure and the building materials used , the amount of ventilation air required , the function of the building , number of occupants , condition the outside air , indoor air conditions .

Abstract

Pumps supply water used for steam generators in PT. CPI is a reciprocating type IR 5H3S used in the steam generators to be processed in order to supply water to steam. Compression pressure reciprocating pump is very large reaching 89.6 bars, is used to push the volume of liquid to be transferred through the exhaust system. The pressure generated by the movement of the pump plunger working pump suction and presses to compress the fluid. In fact plunger has fail until crack at the operational pressure.This study was conducted with the procedure properly. Through several stages with both the identification and investing the incident, which includes mechanical test hardness test, photo documentation fraktografi (mikrofraktografi and makrofraktografi) the material shaft patah. As approach to the truth has simulation to see the distribution of the forces acting on the piston rod (plunger rod).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the results of the design (theoretical) mix concrete plan fc' of 22.5 MPa for 1 m3 using the Department of Environment (DoE) and the method of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), of both methods will be known theoretically - use of materials optimal material (economical). Stages in the concrete mix design fc ' of 22.5 MPa are : (1) sieve analysis of fine aggregate and coarse aggregate, (2) examination of specific gravity and absorption of fine aggregate and coarse aggregate, (3) a weight check aggregate content and (4) examination of sludge levels using the same material that is derived from the aggregate quary Tanjung district of Rokan Hulu. Berdasarkan complicated the analysis and discussion concluded that the concrete mix design method of ACI produces a mixture proportion of material that is relatively less when compared to using DoE methods. This means that in practice the design of concrete mix ACI method is more economical in terms of the use of materials on using DoE methods.

Abstract

Biomass is the dry matter of organic material . Biomass is very important as a potential source ofenergy ( fuel ) . Very important properties of the fuel is the calorific value . Thus it is necessary forthe determination of calorific value by means of testing and then applied to the correlations existingtechnologies to be developed in further research . In this study the type of waste biomass is derivedfrom animal manure is manure , bat droppings , and goat manure . Tests performed with gaugescalorific value of biomass fuels Calorimeter . Further test results compared to the results of theestimation using correlation . Value for the test sample size of cow dung 10.90874 MJ / kg , goatdung 10.37851 MJ / kg and bat droppings of 17.09983 MJ / kg . In general, the closest correlationstudy of three kinds of sample average animal waste biomass fuel is obtained correlation Beckmanwith an average difference of 3.88 %.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country that has two seasons, dry and rainy seasons, Rokan Hulu is one of the districts in Riau province in the Republic of Indonesia and has a college is the University of sand pengaraian, rector building a two-story office building is on one floor / base comprises ten non psrtisi room, second floor consists of five non- partition space. which is the hottest month for all of Indonesia at the month of May, in the average temperature of 350C outdoors and indoors can reach 300C, in the comfort of working in the room can make people hot and uncomfortable, in the heat load the room is very high, we need to analyze the initial heat load in the room prior to the installation of the engine air refresher. Analysis of heat load is a load that needs dialkukan perimeter latent hea, heat load the interior regio, and the burden of latent heat from the outside air to enter.
