Abstract

This reaserch examines the ability to write a personal letter of graders V students of SDN 26 Pekanbaru.. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. This research has a population of 97 students. The test used is a story essay test. The tests instruct students to write personal letters on the topics provided and take note of parts of personal letters. The ability of the V graders students of SDN 26 Pekanbaru after being analyzed using categories, from the 6 aspects that have been determined, get the results that on the aspects of the letter date an average of 88.23 with a very good category, the aspects of the mail address category is very good with an average of 96,29, in the aspect of opening greetings the category is very good with an average of 89,00, on the aspect of letter contents an average of 51.22 with enough categories, on the aspect of closing greetings an average of 56.36 with enough categories, in the signature and name sender aspects the category is very good with an average of 88.66. From these results, an overall average of 78.29 was obtained in the very good category.

Abstract

The research is aimed to find: (1) the perception of fifth grade students about Adiwiyata program in SDN 110 Pekanbaru, (2) the environmental awareness attitude of fifth grade student in SDN 110 Pekanbaru and, (3) the correlation between perception of fifth grade students about Adiwiyata program and their environmental awareness in SDN 110 Pekanbaru. Meanwhile, the research is categorized as quantitative research with correlational approach. As sampling method, the research is used simple random sampling which is consist of a whole student of fifth grade students in SDN 110 Pekanbaru as the sample. Besides, two questionnaires, which are the perception of students about Adiwiyata and the environmental awareness attitude, is used to collect the data. The research also used statistical analysis in analyzing the findings. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the perception of fifth grade students about Adiwiyata program is about mediocre level with percentage 64% and their environmental awareness also at same level with percentage 73%. Besides, the hypothesis result concluded that the correlation between students perception about Adiwiyata program in SDN 110 Pekanbaru and their environmental awareness attitude can be considered at strong level where the correlational value is 0.636. The significant calculation also shown the result where tcalculation 5.417 > ttabel 1.68. Therefore, ho is rejected and ha is accepted, it means there are significant correlation between students’ perception and their environmental awareness attitude in SDN 110 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

The Application of Jerome Bruner's Theory to Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Students in Class IV B of SD Negeri 158 Pekanbaru. This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class IV B of SD Negeri 158 Pekanbaru by using Jerome Bruner's learning theory. The study was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were all students of class IV B of SD Negeri 158 Pekanbaru, totaling 30 students. While the data collection tool uses test questions, observation sheets. Analysis of the data used with qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the study concluded that the application of Jerome Bruner's theory with the steps included: 1) the enactive stage; 2) the iconic stage; 3) symbolic stage, can improve mathematics learning outcomes in class IV B SD Negeri 158 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Presentation of historical material in social studies learning in elementary schools, in general, still uses media in the form of textbooks. Not many media are available so learning activities become menotonous and unattractive. The presence of media is very important in the learning process. This study aims to determine the feasibility of comic-based learning media media on historical concepts in social studies in grade V elementary school. This research is a development research in 4 stages of implementation, namely research and information gathering, planning, developing the initial form of the product, and validating. The results of the evaluation of comic media are shown by an average score, namely material expert I at 88% with a very decent category, material expert II at 90.33% with a very decent category, media expert at 95% with a very decent category. Based on the results of expert tests, educators and limited trials, comic media in social studies subjects in elementary schools are in the very feasible category and can be used as learning media.

Abstract

This study was designed to describe the authentic implementation of HOTS based on SD Negeri 13/1 Rengas Condong, Muara Bulian. This study uses qualitative types of phenomenology. Phenomenology is a type of research that discusses, describes, explains related to the phenomena that occur. The sampling technique was purposive sampling and the informants in this study were VD class teacher SDN 13 / I Rengas Condong. Data collection is taken by observation, interview, and collection techniques. Data analysis techniques were performed using qualitative models from Miles and Hubberman (reduction, display, data verification). The results showed that the classroom teacher had implemented authentic. While the authentic resent that the teacher has done are: 1). Attitude assessment is only done by observation techniques, while peer assessment and self-assessment techniques are not carried out on the grounds that the teacher manages the class and difficulties with the assessment criteria based on the rubric on the attitude assessment instruments in the book; 2). Further Attention. The questions given by the teacher to students are not in accordance with HOTS, this is because the teacher is only fixated on existing books and does not develop questions based on HOTS; 3). Related to the expertise and projects that have been carried out in practicum activities and student group work. Based on these results, it is undeniable that the HOTS-based authentic practice conducted by the VD grade teacher SDN 13/1 Rengas Condong, Muara Bulian has been going quite well. Suggestions that can be given, while asking teachers who follow the guidelines Get authentic according to the revised 2013 curriculum, and the teacher who asks can develop questions based on HOTS.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the awareness of the importance of character education through a comprehensive project that has not been implemented properly. What's more known, the condition of Indonesian human character today seems to experience chronic disorientation. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive research method that aims to collect data on character education through a comprehensive project on fourth grade students of Sekolah Cerdas Pekanbaru. The subjects of this study were 1 homeroom teacher, 1 person in charge of the school, and 5 students. The data collected from this study is the first to determine the data source, make observations, then do documentation for further clarification by conducting interviews with data sources. The results of the study are that character education through a comprehensive project has been carried out in accordance with its programs even though it has not fulfilled all observational indicators. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that it has been implemented but has not been implemented in its entirety, because not all characters that have been fulfilled as an indicator are also marked character education given through a comprehensive project has not been internalized as a whole and has not become a daily habit for fourth grade students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low reading interest seen by the few students who visited the library during their free time, whereas high reading interest plays an important role in gaining reading skills. This study aims to describe the factors that influence students 'reading interest and to describe the factors that most influence students' reading interest. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. This research was conducted in SDN 125 Pekanbaru. The population in this study were all high-class students namely class IV, V and VI, which amounted to 148 students. The sample used in this study is a saturated sample, namely sampling techniques if all members of the population are sampled. So the sample in this study was all members of the population, amounting to 148 students, Based on the results of the study, it was found that the factors that affect students' interest in reading consisted of family environment factors, curriculum and school education factors that were not conducive, community infrastructure factors that did not support the increase in public reading interest and the existence and affordability of reading material. The results of the study of four factors that influence interest in reading can be concluded that the factors that most influence students' reading interest SDN 125 Pekanbaru namely the curriculum and school education factors that are not conducive which is equal to 35.474%.

Abstract

Graphic organizer is a strategy that cordinates ideas and cooncepts into visual form. The purpose of this research was to determine the ability of students to analyze fairy tales using graphic organizer strategies.The research methd used is quasi experimental research.The ability of students to analyze fairy tales using graphic organizer can be proven from results of t-test with signifikan level of 5% ( 95% degrees of confidence) obtained t-counts (7.875) >t tables (2.080) and sig (0.019) < 0.05. The value of t-count> t-table or sig.< 0.05 shos that the ability to analyze fairytale stories of the two groups is significantly different. This is also supported differences in the average value of the posttest results of analyzing the students fairy tale in the experimental group anda the control group.the experimental group got an average value of 94.48, while the controol group obtained an average value of 62.30, so that it could be conluded that there was a significant influence on the use of a graphic organizerstrategy on the ability to analyze fairytale stories in grade IV SDN 37 Pekanbaru

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of children to play pianica instrument in grade V students of 012 Lubuk Terentang. This research is a classroom action research conducted aimed at improving children’s ability in playing pianica musical instruments by applying a direct learning model. The subject of this research is grade V students SDN 012 Lubuk Terentang with 8 sstudents. Data collection instruments in this thesis are teacher activity sheets and student activities as well as student ability assessment sheets in playing pianica music instrument. This thesis presents preliminary data before apllying the learning model directly obtaining a base score of 40,62, increased to 53,36 in cycle I. In cycle II the ability increases to 64,82. In cycle III it increases to 81,17. Teacher activity in the first cycle of the first meeting obtained a percentage of 35% categoris less. At the second meeting increased by a percentage of 40% categoris less, at the third meeting with a percentage of 50% less categories. The first two meetings cycle obtains a percentage of 70% enough categories, at the second meeting the percentage obtained 75% good category, at the third meeting the percentage obtained 80% good category. Then the third cycle of the first meeting teacher activity also increased with a percentage of 85% good category, at the second meeting the percentage obtained 90% excellent category, and the third meeting obtained a percentage of 95% in the excellent category. In the results of this study students begin to understand the material of pianica musical instruments after applying the learning model directly marked by an increase in teacher activity and student activity in each cycle.The results of research in class V SDN 012 Lubuk Terentang prove that the application of direct learning models can improve the ability of children to play pianica instruments in grade V students of SDN 012 Lubuk Terentang Kecamatan Gunung Toar Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi.

Abstract

This research is a research on the development of moral-based cooperative learning models in the application of the 2013 curriculum in elementary schools. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of validity and feasibility of the developed model. This research is a research and development (R&D and R&D) at SDN Dumai City. This development is carried out on the moral-based cooperative learning model in the application of the 2013 Curriculum at SDN Dumai City. The results showed the Graphic Design indicator got a validation score of 79.00 in the good category, the language effect received a validation score of 78.00 in the good category, and the content content effect received a validation value of 83.00 in the good category. While the results of the implementation, the results showed in SDN 002 Big Chart the results of the first trial got a score of 78 with a percentage of 46.33%, after the second trial the results of the study increased to 101 with a percentage of 59.83%, and again increased in the third trial to 134 with a percentage of 79.33%. While the implementation in SDN 004 Bagan the first tryout got a score of 61 with a percentage of 48.4% and increased in the second trial to 80 with a percentage of 63.4%, while in the third trial again increased to 91 with a percentage of 72%. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the development of a moral-based cooperative learning model in the implementation of 2013 curriculum produced a valid and reliable moral-based cooperative manual (KBA) and was able to increase student interaction and learning outcomes.
