Jurnal Arsitektur Lansekap (JAL) (e-ISSN: 2442-5508) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal, published by Landscape Architecture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. JAL publishes original research results and reviews articles in the field of landscape architecture. The author is expected to upload his unpublished works, being reviewed or being considered for publication in other journals or other media. The scope of JAL covers, but is not limited to the following areas: Landscape Design, Landscape Planning, Landscape Management, Landscape Plants, Cultural Landscape and Tourism Landscape.

<![CDATA[The Baduy Tribe is a community which preserves their own culture, tradition, and believe. The Baduy Tribe has suffered some external influence towards their culture, especially effecting the Outter Baduy and Dangka community which functions as buffer for the Inner Baduy region. The general purpose of this research is to plan a cultural conservation landscape for the Outter Baduy and Dangka Tribe base on bioregion approach. Bioregion constitutes the geographical area, which its delineation is not determine by administrative or political boundaries, instead its limited by the culture domain and the nature boundaries. The research consists of: preparation, preliminary study, analysis, synthesis, and planning. Analysis is done to determine the bioregion units. Evaluation was done by matching the bioregion characteristic of Inner Baduy with bioregion characteristic of Outter Baduy and Dangka. The evaluation result was utilise the to develop a concept to lead in the landscape planning to be developed. The bioregional based of planning concept has a purpose to improve the quality of life by combining nature as a resource and human need, through optimalization the environment sustainable. The final result is arranged as landscape planning for cultural landscape conservation of The Outter Baduy and Dangka Tribe.]]>

<![CDATA[Identification on spatial patterns and changes of Pemecutan Castle Denpasar. Puri Pemecutan is one of royal palaces (puri) in Denpasar city which has a very high historical value. The puri has a different spatial pattern compared to traditional Balinese house in general. The magnitude of royal palaces family needs of residence and the number of activities carried out by the puri's family caused a change of pattern and function of each space in Puri Pemecutan. The aims of this study is to identify spatial patterns and functions of the Puri Pemecutan in 1942 and 2016, and identify changes in spatial patterns and functions that occur in Puri Pemecutan. The research method used was survey with data collection is observation, interview, and study leterature by descriptive qualitative method. The step of this research starts from the inventory, analysis, synthesis, and recommendation. The result of this research showed that the pattern of space and space function were change of the Puri Pemecutan in 1942 and year 2016. The study also give recommendations of spatial puri based on changes of space function change of the Puri Pemecutan.]]>

<![CDATA[The landscape of Puputan Klungkung Monument is a historical site which doesn’t have optimal managemet therefore it is necessary an evaluation on landscape management of the site. The purpose of this research was to discover the pertinent concept of landscape management in Puputan Klungkung Monument applied by the Department of Cultural and Tourism of Klungkung District as well as to provide recommendations in order to improve the site. The research method used were field survey with observation, interviews, questionnaires and literature study technic. Results showed that the solution consist of the main and supporting recommendations. The main recommendations was spatial management for Puputan Klungkung Monument such as recommendation on space, circulation and vegetation. In addition, the supporting solutions was biophysical (facilities and maintenance improvement), cultural and social (effectiveness and service improvement, preparing tour packages), policy (to establish a specialized management agency, to compose Standard Operating Procedure of Puputan Klungkung Monument), and also economic (to use electronic card for entrance ticket). It can be concluded that the management implementation of monument was achieved as much as 80% based on Tupoksi. Hence, it was important to establish a specialized management agency to compose SOP of Puputan Klungkung Monument.]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRACTRedesign Bogor District City Park with Urban Landscape Design ApproachUrban landscape design is an approach on designing a city which gives positive impact on its civilians by providing a habitable environment. Urban landscape comes in many form, one of them is city park. City park one of the facilitation provided by the city where people can do several activities inside. A city park also serve as a landmark of the city. Bogor district has several parks with recreational function but not many city parks available that serves as a public space. One of them are a park located near the central government of Bogor district. The purpose of this study was to redesign a functional, aesthetic city park that could also be a landmark on the district. <![CDATA[Coastal ecotourism landscape planning in Beraban Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency. Beraban Village is one of the villages in the district of Kediri, Tabanan Regency which has potential as a coastal ecotourism area. Coastal ecotourism is a tourism activity that is responsible for the welfare of local communities and the preservation of coastal environments. This research is focused on Nyanyi Beach area because there are coastal forest ecosystem with pes-caprae formation and barringtonia formation whose existence requires conservation. This study aims to determine the problems and potential of Beraban Village as a reference in coastal ecotourism landscape planning. The method used in this research is the method of ecotourism planning according to Fennel (2003). The concept of coastal ecotourism landscape planning selected is coastal ecotourism that educates coastal ecosystems and protects coastal forest ecosystems. The result of planning coastal ecotourism was applied to the spatial plan (entrance area, core tourism area, buffer area and conservation area), plans of activity and facility.]]>

<![CDATA[Blind pedestrian perception and preference of comfort at pedestrian walkway at Panglima Besar Sudirman Street, Denpasar City. The main problem for the blind is limited public facilities in Indonesia. Denpasar is the capital province of Bali, so the need of physical infrastructure is very important. The aim of this research was to identify and evaluate the existing condition of the pedestrian path that is related to the comfort aspect, and to know the perception and preference of the blind pedestrian user to the comfort of the pedestrian path at Jalan P. B Sudirman Denpasar, and to recommend the accessibility model as supporting the needs and rights for those blind people. The research method were survey method with observation technique, questionnaires, and literature study. The inconsistency of pedestrian size and elevation between 15 – 35 cm of one of the causes of pedestrian walkway was considered unfit for use by the disadvantage people, thus the pedestrian lane space scenario at Jalan P. B Sudirman Denpasar is to make the pedestrian path as a mobilization path that is easily accessible to everyone and optimally in its utilization. The results of this study are expected to be a consideration for the parties concerned in the related development.]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRACTRedesign and Optimalization of Parking Area, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University Bukit Jimbaran CampusParking area is a facility that should be available to serve a site which has semi-public to public activities, such as a university campus. Faculty of Agriculture in Bukit Jimbaran Campus is also facing a problem to prepare a reasonably parking area for students and staffs at the vicinity. Especially within the past few years, there is a significant increase in numbers of students who use private transportation to campus. The more users and the longer class period and academic activities in campus will affect the capacity of parking spaces required in a given time. A good parking design and capacity is required to create a good atmosphere in parking habits. Some parking violations show that it has been caused by bad design. Therefore, a parking design model is proposed as a solution to the parking site in Faculty of Agriculture Udayana University, Bukit Jimbaran campus.]]>

<![CDATA[Evaluation Aesthetic Quality of Plant Landscape Ahmad Yani Street Pontianak City. Ahmad Yani street is one of the streets located in downtown Pontianak. This road every day in passed by road users, be it a motorcycle or car and pedestrian. Structuring roads and plants continue to be done in accordance with its function.The purpose of this research is to evaluate to analyze the aesthetic quality of landscape plants and to formulate recommendations in improving or maintaining the quality of plant aesthetics. The method used in this research is survey, interview and questionnaire. Data analysis was processed through statistical questionnaires by means of SBE calculations by grouping based on the rating scale 1 to 10. The results stated assessment of aesthetic qualities with high grade SBE values is caused by neatly arranged plants and has a very attractive shape. The value of SBE with the medium category obtained from the form of an interesting plant but around the plant there is a pole or bulletin board that makes the scene less attractive. While the value of low category SBE is caused by plants that are not neatly arranged and the form of plants that are less interesting.]]>
