Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh abu tandan kosong kelapa sawit terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman lobak pada tanah gambut. Penelitian dilaksanakan kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura selama 2 bulan, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap ( RAL ) dengan satu faktor perlakuan abu tandan kosong kelapa sawit, yang terdiri dari 5 taraf perlakuan yaitu A1 (7,05 gr/polybag), A2 (1,031 gr/polybag), A3 (1,355 rg/polybag), A4 (1,681 gr/polybag), A5 (2,008 gr/polybag). Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali dan setiap ulangan terdapat 4 sampel tanaman sehingga jumlah tanaman seluruhnya 100 unit tanaman. Variabel pengamatan dalam penelitian ini adalah klorofil daun, berat kering tanaman (gr), berat segar tanaman (gr), berat segar umbi (gr), diameter umbi (cm), dan panjang umbi (cm). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian abu tandan kosong kelapa sawit tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman lobak (klorofil dan berat kering tanaman) dan berpengaruh nyata dengan hasil tanaman lobak (berat segar tanaman, berat segar umbi, diameter umbi, dan panjang umbi). Pemberian abu tandan kosong kelapa sawit dengan dosis 1.035 gr/polybag merupakan dosis terbaik terhadap hasil tanaman lobak pada tanah gambut.

Abstract

Ubi jalar ungu merupakan salah satu jenis ubi jalar yang banyak ditanam di Indonesia dan banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sebagai bahan pangan dan sumber zat pewarna alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi pupuk kotoran ayam dan segmen setek terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil ubi jalar ungu pada tanah aluvial. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Split Plot dengan rancangan lingkungannya Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), yang terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu pupuk kotoran ayam (K) dan segmen setek (S), terdapat 9 kombinasi perlakuan, setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 3 ulangan dan 3 tanaman sempel pada setiap petak. Perlakuan yang dimaksud adalah sebagai berikut: K1S1= 3,2 kg/petak pupuk kotoran ayam dan setek bagian ujung batang, K1S2= 3,2 kg/petak pupuk kotoran ayam dan setek bagian tengah batang, K1S3= 3,2 kg/petak pupuk kotoran ayam dan setek bagian pangkal batang, K2S1= 6,4 kg/petak pupuk kotoran ayam dan setek bagian ujung batang, K2S2= 6,4 kg/petak pupuk kotoran ayam dan setek bagian tengah batang, K2S3= 6,4 kg/petak pupuk kotoran ayam dan setek bagian pangkal batang, K3S1= 9,6 kg/petak pupuk kotoran ayam dan setek bagian ujung batang, K3S2= 9,6 kg/petak pupuk kotoran ayam dan setek bagian tengah batang, K3S3= 9,6 kg/petak pupuk kotoran ayam dan setek bagian pangkal batang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama kurang lebih 6 bulan, dimulai pada bulan Mei sampai dengan bulan September 2017. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk kotoran ayam dan segmen setek berpengaruh nyata pada jumlah umbi pertanaman. Dosis 3,2 kg atau 10 ton/ha dan segmen setek bagian pucuk batang merupakan perlakuan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil ubi jalar ungu pada tanah aluvial.Kata kunci : Pupuk Kotoran Ayam, Segmen Setek, Tanah Aluvial, Ubi Jalar Ungu

Abstract

Black rice is a type of rice which has high anthocyanins content functioning as antioxidants which are beneficial for health. Superior seed can be used to improve the production of black rice. However, local seeds with Aluminium tolerance are not available. This research aims to find out the response of several varieties of black rice towards Al toxicity in germination phase. This research used several black rise varieties namely Senakin, Tabah, Gula and Melawi variety. Meanwhile, inpara 2 variety was used as a comperative seed with Al tolerance and Cibogo variety was used as a comperative seed which is susceptible to Al. Seed selections is conducted to obtain seeds that has the potential to grow subobtimal condition. seeds were placed on straw paper which has been sprayed with 150 ppm Al solution and rolled. Comparison (I) Senakin, Tabah, Gula and Melawi variety were significantly different from Inpara 2 and Cibogo variety in observation variable Germination Percentage (GP), Vigor Index (VI), Grow Rate (GR) and Radicle Length (RL). Comparison (II) Senakin variety was significantly different from Tabah, Gula and Melawi variety in observation variable GP, VI, GR and RL. Comparison (III) Tabah variety was significantly different from Gula and Melawi variety in observation variable GP, VI, GR and RL. Comparison (IV) Gula variety was significantly different from Melawi variety in observation variable GP, VI, and GR, yet not significantly different in variable RL. Abstract

The production of corn as the second most important cereal crops after rice is dominated by smallholders, particularly in West Kalimantan. However, smallholders in farmer cooperatives are unsustainable because of the lack of decision-making power at the grassroots level; limited access to land, capital, technologies, information and financial services; low market competitiveness; weak management; and limited policy and socio-cultural norms. This research aims to construct the behavior model for performance change of cooperative farmers in Rasau Jaya, Kubu Raya district, West Kalimantan. It involved 75 smallholders recruited using purposive sampling technique. In-depth interviews using the structural equation modeling/SEM based on the new institutional approach and the theory of planned behavior were used in the study. The findings proved that intentions and past behaviors have positive and negative influence on farmers' cooperative behavior, but contradicted with control. Therefore, there are several efforts for changing the behavior in corn farmers’cooperatives, i.e. the perceived behavioral control can stimulate the motivation to be long-lived performing based on the resources and opportunities; pro-environmental behavior needs to engage a supportive injunctive norm and a supportive descriptive norm; a subjective norm for motivation to exhibitthe positive experiential attitude; and the confidence to perform and control their performance.

Abstract

Evaluation of Aesthetical Quality and Carrying Capacity Bougenville Hill Park City of Singkawang. Bougenville Hill Park is part of the Green Open Space of the city that has ecological, social, economic and aesthetic functions. Aesthetic function is related to the value of beauty and becomes the main attraction for visitors. The purpose of this research is to determine and assess the quality of the park, determine the level of beauty based on respondents' perceptions, park carrying capacity analysis and evaluate the quality of the landscape based on the estimates of the beauty and carrying capacity of Bougenville Hill Park. This research used Scenic Beauty Estimation (SBE) method for evaluation of landscape aesthetic quality and Cifuentes (1992) method with physical carrying capacity for calculation of carrying capacity. The results show the landscape with the lowest SBE value based on the assessment of student and visitor respondents are in landscape 1. Landscapes with the highest SBE score based on students' SBE ratings are in landscape 12. While based on the assessment of visitor SBE, landscape with the highest SBE value is found in landscape 20. Based on the calculation of carrying capacity, the threshold of visitors of Bougenville Hill Park that can be done in 1 day is 72 people who move within the 6 ha area. Some management recommendations are proposed to maintain and improve the aesthetic quality and carrying capacity of Bougenville Hill Park such as maintenance and conservation measures.

Abstract

Evaluation Aesthetic Quality of Plant Landscape Ahmad Yani Street Pontianak City. Ahmad Yani street is one of the streets located in downtown Pontianak. This road every day in passed by road users, be it a motorcycle or car and pedestrian. Structuring roads and plants continue to be done in accordance with its function.The purpose of this research is to evaluate to analyze the aesthetic quality of landscape plants and to formulate recommendations in improving or maintaining the quality of plant aesthetics. The method used in this research is survey, interview and questionnaire. Data analysis was processed through statistical questionnaires by means of SBE calculations by grouping based on the rating scale 1 to 10. The results stated assessment of aesthetic qualities with high grade SBE values is caused by neatly arranged plants and has a very attractive shape. The value of SBE with the medium category obtained from the form of an interesting plant but around the plant there is a pole or bulletin board that makes the scene less attractive. While the value of low category SBE is caused by plants that are not neatly arranged and the form of plants that are less interesting.

Abstract

ABSTRACTStreetscape Evaluation at Jenderal Ahmad Yani Street PontianakJenderal Ahmad Yani Street is the main street in the city of Pontianak. Ahmad Yani street landscape must be planned in order to function properly. The purpose of this study were 1) to evaluate the function of the architectural aspect, aesthetics and maintenance and 2) provide appropriate recommendations on the management of Ahmad Yani street landscape. Survey method was used in this study by dividing Ahmad Yani street down into three segments. The results showed that the segments 2 and 3 meet the criteria of architectural aspects. Aesthetic aspects for segments 2 and 3 was considered quite meet unless segment 3, while for the maintenance aspects of the three segments known that meet both criteria. Planting should be composed with the landscape tanama good to get a strong visual impression according to the social and environmental conditions of the landscape in each segment.Keywords: aesthetic, Ahmad Yani street, architectural, streetscape

Abstract

Effect of the composition of planting media on the growth of pearl grass variagated (Axonopus Compresuss). Pearl grass variagated (Axonopus compresuss), is a kind of ornamental grass used as landscape grass or carpet grass. Planting pearl grass variegated at this time, just plowing land, only ultisol. These conditions cause the growth of slow grass, easy soil erosion, then it takes quite a long time to cover the land. Because Ultisol is poor for nutrients and has a solid soil structure, it requires a mixture of organic composition to add nutrients and improve soil structure to loose. Therefore Organic materials used such as sawdust and cow dung manure. The objective of the research is knowing the composition of planting media consists of, Ultisol (PMK), sawdust (SG) and cow‘s manure (KS) on planting of pearl grass variegated. Planting is done on the map with size 0.5 m x 0.5 m. This research used Completely Randomized Design () with 6 treatments, 5 replicates, each replication consist 25 plant and sampling 20%. Treatment for compositions such as m0 (PMK 100%), m1 (PMK 75%: SG 25%), m2 (PMK 75%: PS 25%), m3 (PMK 50%: SG50%), m4 (PMK 50%: PS 50%), m5 (PMK 50%, PS 25%, SG 25%). The research was done for approximately 3 months from mid August to November 2017 in experimental garden Faculty of Agriculture UNTAN. The Research shows that the composition of planting media have significant effect on observation variables, such as number of tillers, stolon length, cover area, root length and dry weight. The result of this research shows, the treatmen of m4(PMK 50% : PS 50%) has higher value among of other treatment.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Evaluation of Potential Ecotourism Lemukutan Island Bengkayang District, West Kalimantan Lemukutan Island, Bengkayang, West Kalimantan, has the potential of ecotourism that is very nice. The aims of this study was to evaluate the potential contained in the island tourist Lemukutan to be the basis of sustainable ecotourism management. Some of the potential in the form of beaches, coral reefs, rock promontory, smallholder and seafood. Activities supporting facilities like water supply, transportation and lodging need to be equipped and upgraded. Abstract

Landcape evaluation of alun-alun Kapuas City park. Kapuas city park is a Green Open Space (RTH) that has aesthetic, ecological, social and economic functions. The condition of the park recently has the potential to differ from the previous design. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the condition of Alun-Alun Kapuas city park including theme, plants’ condition, and community perception. The method used in this research is: survey, interview and questionnaire. Data analysis using quantitative approach that descriptively interpreted. The results showed that the concept of repetition and suppressor in good condition, but it is imbalance. For the plants’ condition, it is divided into three condition: good condition 81,13%, average condition 9,43%, and bad condition 9.43%. Community perception about Kapuas City Park is 54% rate for average condition, 56% rate good for the park quality. Kapuas City Park is recently in a good, average, and bad condition. The good and average conditions can be maintained by giving information, making bulletin boards, hedges and signage. The bad condition can be improved by replanting to keep the theme on the park so the Kapuas City Park can be functioned properly.
