Subak is one of Balinese cultural products that hastangible and intangible aspects. It also relates to Balinese landscape, social and culture. The tangible and intangible forms of subak are paddy field landscape and local agriculture system, which are well known as one of Bali’s landscape images. The environment conservation often collides with spatial and economy needs. Environment degradation is found in most of places in the world and in Bali subaks as well. Bali is loosing subaks, which mostly caused by its agricultural landscape function transformation. The Anggabaya Subak, which is located in Denpasar city, is one among other subaks that situated in urban context. This condition has caused agricultural landscape transformation much more significant thanother subaks in rural areas. The existence of Anggabaya Subak will be at risk if the agricultural landscape cannot give more benefits, economically, to the local community.Anggabaya Subak conservation can be used as a holistic conservation model of landscape, social, and culture in Bali. The Anggabaya Subak conservation is carried out by enhancing the subak functions. The subak expands its functions from primarily managing the landscape for agricultural crops to managing the agricultural landscape for tourism. Three factors that support the function enhancement are the agricultural landscape potential, subak organization capacity, and support from the local government.A functioning agricultural landscape as a tourism object is expected to answer the pressure of changing agricultural landscape. The sustainable and dynamic subak are anticipated to be able to maintain the image of Bali sustainable landscape.

Kampung Kusamba Village is a relatively small size village in the Bali Island with a majority Muslim population. The village area is surrounded by villages that are predominantly Hindu. The Kampung Kusamba is an example that tolerance in social life is actualized. This research emphasizes on documenting tolerance between Kampung Kusamba dwellers with the Balinese through architectural forms and folklores, myths, or any other oral histories. The research method used is qualitative. Data were collected using a purposive approach, utilizing an in-depth interview technique to resource persons and photographic surveyed for architectural forms. The analysis was carried out descriptively using an ethnographic domain analysis technique approach. Preliminary findings from this study were that physical architectural features that reflect the local culture are the same or almost the same as Balinese architecture. A form of tolerance was also found in the form of artifacts that reflected the diversity of the population of Kampung Kusamba in the past. Oral histories of the past as a manifestation of the intangible landscape also showed the attitude and tolerance of the people of Kampung Kusamba and the people who live in Bali respectively. Moreover, there was also a story that shows the position and special relationship of Kampung Kusamba with Klungkung Royal.

Metode pelaksanan adalah hands-on learning.

The research method was carried out using in-depth qualitative descriptive observation method. The results of the research show that Penglipuran Traditional Village is a village that had a very high social system ranging from development, environment, culture to the formation of awig-awig which is formulated together with the community and for the benefit of the community it self. The Penglipuran Indigenous Village community has very strong socio-cultural values, so that the socio-cultural values ??in the community are able to form a very unique spatial pattern of village spaces. The social values ??that make up the spatial pattern of the Penglipuran Traditional Village spaces are inseparable from the influence of elements of the belief system, respect for the older, history, ecotomy, cultural activities, and awig-awig as a binding non-formal legal basis. The pattern of the Penglipuran Traditional Village space was formed due to the strong influence of Hindu values ??which was implemented with the development of space with the concept of sanga mandala. Changing the function of space and increasing new spaces are formed due to the increase in family members and the needs of families or members of the Penglipuran Traditional Village community. The kinship between neighbors with close family values ??in the Penglipuran Traditional Village is manifested in the existence of access within the yard which connects between them. The economic level of the Penglipuran Traditional Village community is influenced by non-agrarian income and the entry of tourism, resulting in a shift in the function of space and building ornaments.
