Abstract

The focus of this paper is to examine Albert Camus' work on disability. The research method used is library philosophy research with qualitative descriptive characteristics. Camus' works are used as formal objects to analyze material objects, namely people with disabilities in Indonesia. Data analysis was performed by applying methodical hermeneutic elements: interpretation, historical continuity, heuristics, and description. This paper aims to explore the meaning of life for persons with disabilities in Indonesia from the perspective of Albert Camus' philosophy. The findings of this paper, from Camus' philosophy, make disability absurd. In order to have meaning in life, they must face absurd situations through loving themselves. That can be achieved by being self-aware and doing good things for yourself and others. These people use these ethical competencies to carry on the responsibility of doing good things for others.

Abstract

This study discussed the harmonious life of the Baduy people, a group of indigenous group who still maintain and preserve Pikukuh or traditional taboos that guide activities based on Sundanese Wiwitan teachings. Meanwhile, Nahdhatul Ulama is a religious and cultural identity embraced by most Muslims in the archipelago by preserving traditionalism. Baduy and Nahdlatul Ulama, society and group teachings, uphold the harmonious balance between humans and their gods in the context of life that preserves culture and upholds religion. Baduy preserves local traditions that are not only a reference for the behavior of community groups. However, it is also a source of inspiration for each community to live a compact, albeit different, life. Meanwhile, Nahdhatul Ulama's works are influenced by the social environment in which Islam can be accepted and developed. Finally, culture and religion continue to exist in harmony because they are mutually supportive parts.

Abstract

This research presents an analysis of the phenomenon of unregistered polygamy reproduction that occurs in the region of Gorontalo. The research recognizes the issue as being counter-productive to the government's efforts to regulate the administration of citizens' marriages. To gain a deeper understanding of the problem, a qualitative research method was employed, incorporating aspects of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that unregistered polygamy is rising due to sociological and epistemological factors, such as the availability of unrecorded marriage services and a simplified view of avoiding adultery. Therefore, he increasing unregistered polygamy reproduction is not caused by strict government regulations or difficult official agency services but more due to pragmatic and simplistic reasons. However, this trend of unregistered polygamy will persist unless addressed through education, advocacy, socialization, and correction efforts.
